Cool video USNERDOC. My wife and I are working on being more prepared for natural disasters, economic and social issues as we raise our three young boys in these interesting times.
One thing we are considering is communications between family members and the outside world. We may even move to another country.
It would be interesting to see how you can use this technology to stay in touch, use for emergency to help friends and neighbors or get information. Short vids would be cool.

@ristin59 - Thank you sir! I am such a little kid . . . it is a thrill to hear the radio crackle with a signal from outer space from an object some 200 miles above earth traveling approximately 17,000 mph. 73!
Only a few more weeks I hear till this satellite is no more :(

That is a nice setup, i have been trying to get a signal from that sat but i was having some problems but going to try again !
