Force just thought i'd let you know. After you learned that whirlwind shout and walked up the steps just to encounter an invisible wall thing, that is actually a pretty harsh snow storm that won't let you enter it at this stage.

Weather does change in a number of places in the game though probably least of which is on the mountains. It's ALMOST always snowing up there, though at differing levels of intensity. I've been to High Hrothgar when it was clear and serene, the view is really cool. Especially the detail in Whiterun.

Force, remember the Companion huntress you help to kill the giant with in video #4? Please go to WHITERUN and join the Companions if you haven't already. Run errands for the Companions and eventually you get the ability to become a werewolf. It is freaking amazing. Thumb up so force can see this.

@ytfmichaelxu maybe I just don't know how to use him properly, but to me the werewolf form is terrible, my orc one hander has far higher DPS, the ability to block and can use shouts and potions, the wolf cant do any of that and dies far too quickly for me.

@Paralyt1c Werewolf can shout (z) and make the enemies flee. Most of its attacks can send enemies flying. You should try to attack quickly and put as many enemies on the ground as possible, then go in for the kill. If you press L&R mouse button together when an enemy is not in guard stance, you get instant kill, that's my favorite perk of the werewolf. It regains health every time it feeds on a body, so try to feed every chance you get in werewolf mode. Werewolf's DPS skyrockets pass lvl20.

@Paralyt1c Yeah werewolf is only really useful if you can feed on the enemy, i.e. no creatures...

One big tip for the werewolf: When you press the key to feed, instead of waiting for the animation to finish while you're getting raped by arrows, press the power key to initiate your fear roar... it will cancel the animation, but you will have already gained the increased time/health/stamina from feeding.

You can also do a dashing attack by sprinting and holding down the attack button.

Love the stealth character. One thing you could do that helps a LOT for stealth: Go do the fixed dragon encounter at Shearpoint. You get a super useful shout that distracts enemies' attention to some place of your choosing. You also encounter a dragon priest, his mask is great for stealhers early on. Do be warned though; It's one damned tough encounter.

Shearpoint is almost exactly between Dragonsreach (whiterun) and Windhelm - if you run from one to the other you should see the dragon icon.

Force has replied to me saying as much. If he wants to cut content from his video there are plenty of places to cut in then in strategy and tactics required to win the game at the highest level of play.

If he said this about previous TES titles I would accept it - the difficulty scaling used to just grant annoyingly high HP and damage to all enemies... It feels REALLY balanced in this and it instead forces you to build your character well. Force's Nord was built poorly.

I was always under the impression that Elder Scrolls games were more about the story and exploration than min-maxing and strategy. This is something that I watch for the enjoyment and he plays the way he does to convey that experience to the viewers. If I wanted to learn detailed strategy and character builds, I could read up on them as needed. This video series was titled as a Skyrim Let's Play, not a "Skyrim Strategic Analysis."

No. It does kinda seem like critical strikes happen more often when you land the head shot, but that's probably happenstance... not actual game mechanic. It's just a crit chance that you can get perks to increase.

@YetiRSVlogs You can go into the menu and favorite different things, then on xbox pressing up on the Dpad will bring up a shortcut menu, if you're on PC then the favorites menu still works but you can hotkey different items as well which is even faster.

Force, I really enjoy your let's plays, but could you try to stop and listen a bit more when you come across NPC's who are having a conversation? You often barge right through these conversations and ignore their talk, while they can provide interesting information or new quests.

i think the archery cat is way better than your battlemage because you focus on one weaponstyle. the battlemage is not able to do much meleedmg and because u wear a lot of "manareg-items" u got not that much defense. because of using one meleeweapon you cant make that much magic dmg. you should focus on a melee char / mage / archery to get better results. i dont think a mix between mage / melee = battelmage will work fine in that game, at least in the first stage! just my opinion

Dragons are random encounters EXCEPT for the ones from the main story line. I've killed around 5 random dragons while wondering around Skyrim. They attack random towns and creatures and I just happen to see them =P. Advice: If a random dragon attacks a town, let the town archers take care of him while he's in the air, then when he comes down, just take an axe to em'!

I just got a set of shroud armor, which is really cool for a sneaky type. Also the hand part will double the damage for backstab which make it 30times for daggers.

Also, on my last run up the mountain, I had a Dragon encounter. Not the easiest thing to achieve on a 6 foot wide, snowy mountainside. Jus shows that the Dragone ARE random, eh?
