It was a vary sad day when Last Of The Summer Wine was axed. I have watched it from the very beginning and it just got better with age! Thank heavens we can still see it on YouTube and Gold.

Looking forward to going to Holmfirth for a day in August to see where it was made.

@combertrains its a lovely show. British. And I cant imagine another show like it, from any country. I think it was (insurance wise) too expensive to film it any more and if some of the characters died it wouldnt be the same. Also some of the actors are very old. Peter Sallis and Frank Thornton are both 90 and barry, who looks quite young is in his mid 60s i think. Who knows maybe they will do a christmas special one day.
