With my digital camera, I try and use RAW for important photographs, and will use RAW or Lightroom to process the RAW files to a TIFF that I can further refine in Photoshop.
For photos that arent meant to be my ultimate artistic expression, Ill use Lightroom or Photoshop, whichever gets me where I need to go.
John, It depends on the intent I have for the photograph.
For my best images, I work in Photoshop so I can have the most control, and because its the tool Im most fluent in since ive been using it since the early days of version 2.0. This was a scan from film, and it did not need Camera RAWs tools...in fact this file was made around the time Camera RAW was at version 1.0!
Rich,
Nice, well thought out videos. I have enjoyed them; they reinforce much of what I know. And I have learned some new techniques.
Thanks,
Doug

Hi Rich,
Do you ever make adjustments in Adobe Camera Raw or Lightroom as opposed to layers in PS?
Thanks,
John
