1) 0:30 when the camera goes over the highway and the lyrics say "Today, I love you!" if you look in the foreground you see a bride and a groom running across the overpass. They're small, but they're there.
2) The letter "C" you can find made up by the windows of the building that the train passes.
If you look at the bottom of the screen at 0:30 (the motorway) there is a bride and groom running over the overpass as the song says "Today, I love you."
And the "C" is made by the windows on the building.
I like it how the last group of people who play the "Bom ba bom" part on the drums are actually on the train passing at 0:37. I didn't notice it the first time I watched it.
What is going on with the station signs? They've been photoshopped to say "Together" "Now," "Now," and "Isaacston"?!?!? The Isaacston one doesn't even look like a Chicago sign.
I seen this ad in the cinema recently but It is awful coz the whole thing is just a huge blur and you can't even figure out what the hell is going on in the ad mos of the time...
I don't like bud - I'd rather drink the Czech original - but i think that this is a great ad - a rarely great ad, and kind of raises bud in my estimation - a difficult chore
@yellydancer I work for said agency and will say that it depends on how you think advertising works.
If you think it works by explaining to people what the rational advantages of the product are, yes, we have failed. But as your rightly point out, do people really want to hear about the rice that makes a Budweiser?
Far better then, to suggest a mood that people can associate with this beer. We have some experience doing this (starting with John Smith's in the 70's). It does sell beer.
Hey Yellydancer....brewing with rice is an extra process that cleans the beer. It's expensive but makes Budweiser suitable for all palates and consequently the best selling beer in the world. i know that because i once worked in the brewery. By the way I think this is easily their best commercial in years, since wassup. Which was also a great example of advertising as entertainment. Budweiser understand that if you're gonna force advertising down peoples throats, make it nice and tasty...
At a conservative estimate it must`ve cost the best part of three quarters of a million dollars just to make, never mind the millions they`re going to burn airing it. Now, can one of you geniuses tell me what it`s got to do with Budweiser Beer apart from there`s a big Bud poster right at the end? Or is it, as I suspect a rubbish idea, well filmed, that won`t sell a single bottle of the product. Basically sponsored entertainment. If I was the client, I`d fire the agency now for wasting my money.
how in shit does that mean it worked?! its an advertising campaign to sell a product. if it doesnt sell, it doesnt work. even if it was the greatest film in the world ever, if it dont shift stuff then its bollocks.
A response to two of the previous questions:
1) 0:30 when the camera goes over the highway and the lyrics say "Today, I love you!" if you look in the foreground you see a bride and a groom running across the overpass. They're small, but they're there.
2) The letter "C" you can find made up by the windows of the building that the train passes.
