@Choice777 It's more real than you think. If there was even the smallest layer of ice that formed due to the warmer roads melting the snow before the road got cold enough to support it then that melted stuff would have refroze causing a pretty slick surface. Same thing happened on a road close to where I live several years ago. An 80's 4x4 Bronco with offroad tires got just as stuck as this Corvette did. So did a fully loaded tractor trailer.
@Choice777 Take it from a Minnesotan. Yes, it IS possible. Ever heard of black ice and a slight incline? Plus there's that powder on top. A high powered RWD car with sports tires is just NOT gonna get up that very easily. Even with a pro driver.

@puffrooster - My psychology professor explained that the main mechanic behind people not helping others come from: lack of knowledge or skill in how to help in a particular situation (EMS related for example), people who could help that are not sure help is required. She may have mentioned another I missed but I don't entirely agree with this. I would add the band wagon scenario where once one person helps others jump on board. Also I think many don't want to be inconvenienced.

If a person has an attack of some kind on a plane and a doctor volunteers to help, but is unsuccessfull, and the person dies, the family can sue the doctor. In Canada, a trucker stopped to help a stranded car in a mountain pass and was beat up to the brink of death by three people. Nothing was stolen, they just beat the crap out of him for no reason; the trucker is alive but he won't recover enough to ever drive again.

Did i stay inside the house and video tape all those poeple? No, i spent hours outside helping each person get up the hill one by one, including a fedex truck. It was actually fun in my opinion. Traffic works fine in much worse conditions like this except in some parts of the mountains in like 15 feet if snow you might want to pack snow chains for the steep hills (but you are still fine with 2-wheel drive) :)

The Corvette turns on the hazard lights because he's slowing traffic down driving sideways. That's probably pretty uncommon for a Vette to be slowing people down.
Besides that the 7:24 was in the wet on a standard GTR on standard tires. Both the zr1 and z06's lap times wasn't with the standard model. Z06 has the z07 package and the zr1 has its upgraded optional tires etc. Why hasn't Gm run a standard 2012 z06 on standard tires on the nurburgring? because it wouldn't hang.

Corvettes aren't exactly meant for snow driving, but neither are bikes. At least on a bicycle you can get a good feel for the traction you're getting.

Yes I am. It has been tested I read it in a car magazine. Because the tire is small is deepens itself in the snow thus having more grip on the surface. The bigger the tire the bigger the surface. So it will work like a snowboard.

Besides that the 7:24 was in the wet on a standard GTR on standard tires. Both the zr1 and z06's lap times wasn't with the standard model. Z06 has the z07 package and the zr1 has its upgraded optional tires etc. Why hasn't Gm run a standard 2012 z06 on standard tires on the nurburgring? because it wouldn't hang.

i agree on the gtr but comon thiers barely any snow rear 96 mustang rwd bald shity tires and 95 fully built f22b2 turbo with r32 cosmetic conversion falken tires fwd. i have no problem going up hill with stang forward an backwards with accord in chicago in a blizard. i mean i owned an 05 zo6 when this body style came out i didnt see that much snow as i was in baltimore but is it really this bad

Yes I am. It has been tested I read it in a car magazine. Because the tire is small is deepens itself in the snow thus having more grip on the surface. The bigger the tire the bigger the surface. So it will work like a snowboard.
