i was there - fan'bloody'tastic concert - waited nearly 15 hours in the hot sun (i think at one stage it got up to 38 degrees C) to get great seats to the greatest concert on earth I wasn't old enough to see Zoo TV and I still rate that as their greatest achievement Mum let me go to PopMart only coz I begged her Was in the elipsis for both the 11th and 13th of November - right on the B-Stage RHS where Larry was
Thanks for this. Really brings back that thrill that goes through you when this song comes on because you know it's the last song played before they come out. Was great fun playing with those beach balls too. I was right on the left side b-stage and the balls kept going on the stage where we couldn't reach them. One of the security guards wouldn't give the ball back until everyone started chanting 'we want the ball back!' and then he caved in...one of the best shows ever.
thanks for sharing. What happened here? is this the night it rained? Why were the house lights on. I also noticed that a a few bays in the stand were empty?? What the??
This is the concert on saturday 11th nov. I think it rained this night, I went to the monday 13th concert. This is the intro music before the band hit the stage , you can see the house lighting is gradually being turned off before the concert began
Rained on the 10th, only during "vertigo" though. The empty seats weren't on sale as their view was blocked by the sound / lighting towers (as per most concert seating arrangements).
Saw them on the 10th and the 13th... UN-FRIGGIN-BELIEVABLE show (as per the U2 style). Although thought ZooTV and Popmart were better...
was there a kid around you/????????????

Australia had waited SO long for a u2 tour & JESUS did we make the most of it.
The roar as the lights went out still gives me goosebumps. 75000 people got airborne that night. Best night of my life
