  • Im Proud To be Den

  • ML >>>>>>> zidane

    easily

  • only hink i hate about him is that he was a Real Madrid player...

  • @MacBoss28 If you really hate people for the club they play for, you got some issues :/

  • @domie1991 come on .. i was not serious ... I meant : " If there is one thing I dont like about him..."

  • What's the name of the music????

  • The best player I've ever seen and I saw quite a few good players like Baggio, Ronaldo (Fat one, the one and only Ronaldo), Hagi, Zidane and a bit of Maradona. In years to come, with nostalgia I can say I saw him play and nobody can get that away from those lucky ones like us who saw him. Thank you Michael for all those moments of sheer brilliance!

  • Jesus I knew Laudrup was good but considering most players & coaches said he'd give 80-90%, imagine what he would of been like at 100%. Damn I'll take 80-90% of his awesomeness.

  • Like Messi ever had a chance!

  • I found the last part very thrilling

  • This guy is one of the best midfielders of all time.

He's pretty much like Andres Iniesta, so underrated

  • His ability to keep the ball so close to him all the time is just amazing! He's not trying to be fancy, he is just handling the ball with perfect control and passing it with tremendous precision.

  • He is born to be a legend.

  • To the untamed eye Laudrups style seems kinda akward, but it's very beautiful. Greatest Danish playmaker ever :)

  • laudrup one if the most underrated midfielders ever..

  • shit i just heard of this guy tonight during a drunken debate of the two best midfielders of all time, i said scholes and zidane but this guy... fuck i must have been living under a rock...

  • best player to have on your team when attacking

    1. Messi

    2. Laudrup

  • il controllo a 1:23 è qualcosa di soprannaturale, è stregoneria. Non si può credere che questo fenomeno assoluto non abbia mai vinto il pallone d'oro

  • Fantastic video llaauuddrruupp - Thank you!

I don't know if it has been mentioned before but the song used for this video is

God Is An Astronaut - Loss

  • Laudrup = Xavi + Iniesta :D

  • Best player ever in the game of football., Legend of legends

  • He was the real reason Romario won the award for best player in the world while he was in Barca, the same with Stoichkov, Zamorano etc. and made them all topscorer in La Liga.

  • Does anybody know what the music used in this video is?

Btw. Laudrup is and will always be a legend.

  • He is more than a legend!!!

  • Ronaldo who?

  • Denmark's Messi

  • @BMLAHK Rather Argentina's Laudrup

  • @BMLAHK

You say "Denmark's Messi". It should be more like Denmark's Laudrup, and Messi is Argentina's Laudrup.

  • man this guy got to be a cheat, the football must be glued to his boots for him to dribble like that! majestic

  • Look at that,. they nerly have to kill him to stop him,.. you dont see that enymore

  • "Control, speed, mentality, versatility, perfection, quality, tremendous accuracy to provide short and long passes, has the right to be in the hall of fame is just Michael Laudrup".

  • awesome - and not a single stepover :)

  • Comment removed

  • I think the reason why most players never scored from laudrup's assists was because they were absolutely stunned by his amazing vision

  • i wish you all the best Michael - And thank you for all the great memories!

  • He was Lethal with Zamorano

  • @TheNuncFluens Too bad Zamorano wasn't lethal ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @TheNuncFluens Ivan the Terrible was only Pichichi once, but that doesn't change the fact that he was a great player. Just because he misses a few chances in this video, doesn't mean he wasn't lethal.

  • well if kaiser franz says he was the best of his era ,including zidane im not going to argue

  • eww.. messi can learn a thing or 2 from this guy :P

  • 1:23 He's waving goodbye! :D

  • I think if La Liga got the coverage it did these days, Laudrup would be even more highly rated. 5 league titles in a row with 2 different teams has never been done by anyone else

  • Great video, Laudrup was immense and God is an Astronaut's music fits really well

  • 06:54 That a pretty nice piece of a genius !

  • holyshit, how he make that pass at 05:17?!

  • I just find it funny that, 1 season he wins the spanish championship with Barcelona, he then changes to Real Madrid the next season, and wins it with them... That is just awesome. I like him because a) he must be the player with the best overview and understanding of the game and how the ball moves and how he can move it, ever. b) In all the matches I saw him play I haven't seen him throw a fit, or act to get a freekick/penalty, keep acting for theater and movies please.

  • why isn't he on fifa classic XI? :(

  • E ainda falam de Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Xavi, Iniesta... Laudrup coloca todos no chinelo...

  • @ocaradanoite77 laudrup was better than Zidane. Is a legend.Play like Ronaldinho, zidane and Iniesta in similar style.Neymar?

  • what name this music?

  • 0:00 - 11:00 incredible.

  • 5:40 WHAT??

  • Laudrup made everything look beautiful. Few sports have ebauty, football does and the Laurdrup brothers made it look special. Laudrup played his own way an created more goals than he scored. He won alot at top teams so he proved himself. Always a joy to watch is Laudrup.

  • @redmez Baggio didnt get in '91 either which is the year Laudrup should have got it. Instead, it went to Papin (...).

  • Football isn't long jumping, so it's hard to compare players, but Michael Laudrup was my favorite player of the 80/90'es. His speed, elegance, vision, technique was simply fantastic. And I LOVE his signature dribble: going real close to his opponent and then moving the ball from one foot to the other and AWAY he goes.

  • true great need not to STEP OVER to be

  • Name of song?

  • Kong Michael. Han er grunden til at jeg den dag i dag holder med Real Madrid...

  • Michael Laudrup the more 'radar' playmaker.

Dragan Stojkovic the more precise playmaker.

    Zidane the more technical playmaker.

Juan Riquelme the more shoe tied playmaker?

  • If you can go through a career without getting a red card, without ever bringing the beautiful game in miscredit i.e yelling at referees or filming and still bringing that kind of excitement you are gift to football

  • @sipoway

    well said

  • @sipoway nuff said m8

  • u cant compared zidane to michael , luadrup was much better than zidane , zidane wasnt even half aas good as michael.

  • @diegote7 Sorry but no. I'm not here to argue that Zidane was better or Laudrup was better, but Zidane was sure GREAT and so was Laudrup.

  • what. a. player.

  • laudrup is fuckin awesome but i think that zidane n zico are better !

  • @astonvillaking its zidane whos like laurdrup, laudrup is the oldest

  • My bet that most people here saying that Laudrup is better than pele and maradona are danish.

  • Xavi + Iniesta + Messi + Imagination = Laudrup!

  • two words- Rui Costa...the best midfield ever seen, laudrup was a good player but rui was better, more class!

  • Comment removed

  • 05:15 woooooooooow

  • Never saw Laudrop play. Wish I had. He is similar to Zidane but seems to be a little quicker.

  • 5:15 ..pure class, technique & elegance.... my favourite soccer player of all time...

  • @laudrup218 in 5:15 fuck you're right

  • @laudrup218 0:00 ~ 11:00 Pure class, technique & elegance.

  • Eskidead, he WAS entitled World's Best Player 1 year :-).

  • Laudrup easily one of the best midfielders i've seen, class.

  • Messi + C. Ronaldo = Michael Laudrup.

  • messi copied laudrups style :D

  • Great video, but please change this shitty annoying track, this track has fucked youtube up.

  • what a player

  • what was the original track?

  • should've kept it muted...

  • One of the handful of players who helped shape the game.

I personally rate him as the worlds best midfielder ever. Iniesta, xavi, pirlo, ronaldihino etc dont come close.

  • Manual of good footballer First lesson: Laudrup Last Page: Laudrup

  • Ladrup was the smarter guy playing football at the 90'. And honeslty i think he was better than Zidane.

  • I bet laudrup taught iniesta that move because iniesta uses that move ALL THE TIME

  • @102293

What happens at Barca stays at Barca.

  • @102293 In an interview Iniesta did with a spanish newspaper back in World Cup 2010 in SA.

Iniesta was asked who is in your opinion best player ever to play the game

    he answered Laudrup

  • who the fuck is messi?laudrup forever.

  • EL MAESTRO DE ANDRE INIESTA!!!

  • @modran26 iniesta no puede ni soñar con este nivel

  • you can tell iniesta idolized laudrup

  • iniesta and michael laudrup's playing style looks very similar, especially in the way they glide over tackles with ball glued to their feet.

  • @cuteiitian1 They have the same signature move to get past defenders. Difference is Laudrup had much better playmaking and passing ability. Laudrup's vision to play the final pass is arguably the best ever - Better than Maradona, Xavi, Zidane, Ronaldinho. I've never seen anyone that can pass like Michael Laudrup. Unfortunately Michael Laudrup never scored as many goals as he should and he was said to be mentally weak sometimes. Iniesta for me is mentally stronger, but Laudrup was more talented.

  • @WhoLueYou .exactly.

  • @WhoLueYou I agree but perhaps it wasnt so much he didnt score enough goals - he averaged 15 a season, which is passable - but that his long shot was rarely a threat. And as you say he wasn't a leader on the pitch - He is "incomplete" you can say.

But as a pure passer of the ball, you simply cannot get any better, a few may have equaled him, but they never bettered him.

  • terrific player but some of you Laudrup lovers need to shut the fuck up moaning!

  • Comment removed

  • There was a invisible glue in his feet!

  • Simply Fantastic!

  • Simply the Best Player of the nineties

Too much underestimated:"Great player" is not enough for him

By far The Best Player and the Most Modest one

  • Great video for a great player highly overlooked. Can you tell me what's the name of the third song which begins around 6:10 ?

  • QUE GRANDE LAUDRUP, EL MEJOR JUGADOR DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS!!!!!!!!

  • andres laudrup vs michael iniesta ;-) WoW !!!

  • I'm confused here people...either Michael Laudrup fans happen to make the best compilation videos on youtube, or Michael laudrup is the greatest player of all-time!....the more I watch, the more I'm leaning towards the latter. Holy shit!!! I always held him in high esteem, but I have to say...after several years of watching highlights on this site I'm convinced he was greatest of them all. He has to be craftiest player ever! Stregth, speed, vision, guile....he had it all.

    LEGEND!

  • @chubnostics i totally agree with you on this...i rate bergkamp highly, with zidane being best player of modern era..but some of laudrups videos make him look truly immense..he was truly respected also by barca and real after he switched which wud b unheard of now

  • @upthearsenal316 .ca you please explain to me how onearth zidane is the ebst player of the modern era?lol.i look forward to this.zidane was beaten by rui costa to the ebst attacking midfielder award 3 ties in seria when zidane wa sin his prime and yet zidane kept winning the fifa awarda?makes sense?no. laudrup beats zidane by miles in vision, passing, speed of thought, etc.

  • @laudrup90 your obviously a laudrup fan guessing from your nickname on here..im guessing your danish and you grew up in the 80s when laudrup was in his pomp?! ..im 26 grew up in u.k been a football fan since 10 and in my opinion zidane is the best player of modern era..even better than my heros bergkamp and henry for the sole reason that on the BIGGEST occassion when other players may have crumbled zidane more than anyone else rose to it...

  • @upthearsenal316 .i am a big fan of laudrup but im not danish. im not hating on zidane, zidane was sheer world class by every definition but doing well against brasil doersnt eman you stepped up every game.like i said he might as well not have turned up for juventus in those 2 finals in a row,the same with the frewnch team he was palying for ehen he lost the uefa cup,at juventus when del piero got his innjury in 1998 juvenuts struggled for years and zidane was nowhere to help.

  • @laudrup90 some people class the ' modern era' of football post 1994 world cup , bascially after maradonna finished after he had had his time in spotlight as world no 1 player , reason i rate zidane so highly is that he had consistently been near the top of the best players since 1994 and in his case upto 2006 , for me what makes zidane stand out is he rose more than any other player to the BIGGEST occassion , better than ronaldinho, both the ronaldos, figo, rivaldo

  • @upthearsenal316 .no he never. he was completely absent in both champiks elague final defeats tfor juventus and the uefa cup defeat at the french team he was playing for. ruo costa ebat him tot he ebst attacking midfielder award three times during zidanes prime.zidane wasnt ht ebest or near the ebst in 94,95,95,and post 2003 he did nothing except the world cup 2006 where he was amazing against spain and brazil but thats all.

  • @upthearsenal316 .also ronaldo the brasilian was THE big game player except world cup final 98 where he had a siezure before the infla but he has performed and scored i every final he has played in.copa america, uefa, for barcelona in winner cup copa del rey, inters big game like uefa cup, etc, etc. so again zidane =world class but he has never performed in the biggest games more than other greats. i dont even mention c ronaldo in that rbacket tough. hes a great goalscorer but is lacking overall.

  • @laudrup90 good point about ronaldo ...he is the second best player in my lifetime..the 96/97 season he had at barca ..for me personally is better than the season messi is having currently that is my imo..ronaldo was immense there..ronaldo the greatest player never to win champs league..by the way i dont rate c.ronaldo most overrated player to ever win world player of year...while t henry 2002-2004 best player never to be crowned it imo

  • @upthearsenal316 .my spelling sucks so im sorry if i dont get my point across but lastly if you were to comapre them, laudrups vision, speed of thought, techniqe and unique dribbling is better. but zidane was more of a old school ball playing no 10 were as laudrup was more simple.both world class and both amazing. zidane was probaly more complete is well but apart from that i would rate laudrup higher.people tend to overrate players who win world player of the year.

  • @chubnostics I know your comment is a year old but I totally agree with you. I have always admired him and acknowledged that Laudrup was an amazing player but man like you said perfectly the more I watch him I start to think why isn't he mentioned more when discussions about who was the greatest ever.

  • @vavashroom .he didnt score enough goals, just like platini said. he hardly ever tried 100% like cruijff said and he was from denmar.simple.world player fo the eyar award is overrated,as is the world cup so obv audrup never features in those lists nut hes a legend who is admred by other legends like platini, romario, cruijff, neckenbauer, raul, etc.

  • @chubnostics - I'm sure he could have been voted player of the year at least once, and maybe twice. But certain things worked against that: His efforts not to draw attention to himself, the danish national team's failure to reach a number of championships, and last but not least his refusal to play for Denmark for a period, which meant that the 1992 european championship was won without Michael Laudrup in the team.

  • @chubnostics

Michael, his brother Brian and Jan Mølby (Liverpool) abandoned the team after a 0-2 loss i 1990 at home to Yugoslavia. Allegedly after some controversy with coach Richard Møller Nielsen, who had decided to drop Brian from the team. He went on to play in that match tho.

  • @chubnostics Laudrup [Michael] had a special way with a football. He had a brain and could see a pass, he could dribble also. Most top players can do only one of these.

  • I am 38 years old. I barely watch ML when I was younger, obviously he was a great midfield player.

  • Grande,a lo mejor no fue elegido el mejor jugador, pero los entendidos y los que le gustan el futbol saben quien es Michael Laudrup y todos los que amamos el futbol lo llevamos en nuestro corazon.Muy buen video

  • 5:14 Dios Mio!!!

  • Xavi who?

  • Best up-front midfielder in the history of football

  • i could not help but notice how similar he is to Iniesta:D

  • @Amoori13

maybe cos iniesta in an interview said sth along 'i know some players might be better than laudrup, but i always wanted to be him'

  • @Amoori13 WHAT ?? iniesta wanne be like LAUDRUP! but laudrup was way way better than iniesta laudrup is the best barca player ever

  • @Amoori13 .you mean how similiar iniesta is to him you idiot.

  • @laudrup90 I meant they both play similar style, and of course Iniesta will be the one emulating him....no need to use words like "idiot"...it doesn't make you sound cool:D

  • he s really a great player .he s on par with maradona .but its a sad note that he wasnt voted best payer of the world at least once

  • Best midfield player - more valuable for his teams than fx Maradona & Zidane

  • These videos er ekstraordinary. Michael wasn´t voted best player of the world, but is certainly the best player on YouTube

  • best player ever. pure class, perfect ball control, efective technique, speed, pace, a pure number 10

  • INIESTA'S FATHER

  • @llaauuddrruupp kunne du måske ikke lægge en ud med kun kommentare org så en med?

  • Endnu engang tak for disse videoer, de er det rene guld! Der er dælme mange sekvenser jeg aldrig har set

  • his quick feet was adopted by andres iniesta easy comparison

  • Great video! On the best, most skillful & intelligent player ever ! His incredible balance makes his insane moves easy. Michael Laudrup is not the athletic sprinter but his "football brain" was so unbelievable fast. His "thinking" speed was way ahead of his opponents.

Played football with his super-fast thinking & instinctive, imaginative, creative vision.

  • EXTRAORDINARIO... FORÇA BARÇA

  • what a player..so often overlooked in the great players lists but he was sensational.

  • He looks like a faster more agile version of Zidane. He should have played at Euro 92. That would have gotten him more fame.

  • @thrillamf Exactly. Zidane, good as he was, was a bit on the slow side and scored few goals. Laudrup was more well-rounded as an attacking midfielder.

But yeah, while the awards defaulted to the habitual dutch or french or brazilian players, Laudrup was sadly overlooked. He should have got it in 1991, who was better then?

  • @MarkusGrenaa Det tror jeg alle, der har set hans videoer gør ^^

  • reminds me of zidane so freaking much..!!!

  • he makes me remember to Juan Roman Riquelme, the argentinian player. Both are really good. I like Riquelme and Laudrup, elegance and good football ever...

  • Spain loves Laudrup !!! XD

  • You can so easily see how Iniesta, Xavi, Fabregas, Guti... in truth all the great playmakers of modern football, was influenced by Laudrup. A true great

  • That move where he controls the ball with both feet quickly is brilliant. He makes it look so effortless.

  • Best scandinavian player ever! Bästa skandinaviska fotbollsspelaren någonsin!

  • waaay better than messi,...an artist, mr laudrup

    great video

  • @llaauuddrruupp Ja :) - Af en eller anden mærkelig grund kunne jeg ikke sætte linket ind. Men det er da ret nice, hvis Andreas har set din video.

  • the assist at 2.20 is outrageous. an utterly impossible pass. this is the stuff that inspires players like xavi, guti and sneijder to do what they do.

  • he just move ball simple and thats work

  • hvad hedder den første sang den er super god

  • whats the first song name ?

  • Pearl Jam - Gonna see my friend

  • Sadly hat he been more selfish he would be a can´t miss top10 player of all time

  • @L00kout77

He is in the top 10 og all time !

  • He is amazing!! Just look at the way he goes around defender!! His right leg pasing the ball to his left leg!! Pure control, so much better than those silly stepovers!!!
