While I agree that Wee is a jerk and shouldn't act that way, I also believe that a parent should always be on their children's side. If the dad had done his job raising his child, he wouldn't have turned out like this. Children rely on their parents to protect them, love them, and teach them the difference between right and wrong. Wee's dad failed all three.

I don't understand why some of you guys dislike Tom? Tom is a brave, manly, respectful, sweet, caring and more importantly he's the only friend that is close to narin. If Tom is a girl, he would be her best friend. Yes, he can be annoying at time but that's because he cares for narin and he wants to be with her and protect her. What is so wrong with that?

I used to think Tom was annoyingly desperate for having to tail Narin wherever she goes. However, in the scene where he sits down for dinner with her, I can understand why he is constantly pressing her for answers, sounding her out. Honestly, if I were Narin's friend, I would be equally concerned and want to find out what's causing her to act in a disturbed manner.

I guess his method of sounding her out may seem whiny after a while, though it's perfectly understandable. :P

As for Tom, there was never any strong attraction that Narin has for him to even think he is her boyfriend. He is more or less a third wheel. Tom is safe, but he doesn't make Narin's heart beat with fear, anger and even desire the way Kawee did. If she chooses Tom, she only chose him as a shield to protect herself from Kawee, not because she loves him.

Whatever feelings Kawee has for Narin, it is strong and tumultous. Unfortunately, he doesn't know how to express emotions in a healthy way like normal adults do. Kawee has grown up fearing rejection and his own vulnerability. In his warped mind, his father had rejected him all his life. This rejection prevents him from bonding real emotion with any women. Is it any wonder that the women he picked are transient, flighty, and easy? Just the way he likes them to be, with no strings attached.

I like your theory into why Kawee is mentally unbalanced. I feel him lacking a mother figure in his life caused problems as well. Kawee see women as only objects to be used and discard when he is finish toying with them. Narin is the first woman to make him feel any kind of emotion.
