hey poke freak there is a item that makes giratina stay at his orgin form and its the platinum orb you get it when you go to turnback cave (where you get giratina in diamond and pearl) there is going to be a black protal taking you to the distortion world and you get the platinum orb there and once you give it to giratina for it to hold its going to turn into its orgin form

currently there is no official nintendo release date for america, there are predictions however that this will be released in america in april 2009 however this is just a prediction based on when diamond and pearl were released in japan then america so don't get you're hopes up.
