i used to spend my childhood in arcades watching this game in all its glory, so when i finally bought it on the master system being so used to the smooth gameplay and crisp graphics of the arcade version i was slightly disappointed with this as you can imagin lmao...but looking back now this wasn't bad at all for an 8 bit console!

I was stunned to see how good SMS Mortal Kombat was. Especially when it's other arcade ports of less powerful games didn't turn out so good.

I actually think this is better than the sega 16 bit version. Certainly more effort went in this one.

@ldlrdrllrr A tragic shame MK2 SMS wasn't nearly as good.

The controls were very good on this version. Somehow, some of the animations worked better on this version than the 16 bit versions. Like how Johnny puts his shades on. Donnu why.

Kano was lame, cheap, and overall, he barely ever played as, thats was why he was removed from MK2's roster. Plus, the master system's memory could'nt hold a full arcade port, so DEAL with it

For nostalgia. It's not the same doing stuff on the pc, you used to do on your old square tv, that barely had quality in it and you were so young, that you had a problem realising what the hell you are playing.

I can't fuckin believe this was on the Master System. What's even crazier is that it's not half bad looking. The sound sucks. But the graphics are impressive for that period. Wow!
