  • very beautiful love this look.... i have the same complexion as you and i dont know if you could suggest the colors from coastal scent 120 pallets. i am sorry but i am a beginner. never had makesup on before.

  • beautiful

  • @lucy1276 Thank you.

  • Thank you so much for your response. I truly appreciate it. I decided to go with the tropical matte. Thanks again for responding.

  • @1LADYNITA No problem, definitely let me know what you think once you get it.

  • I have a question, I'm reviewing bh cosmetics. Which e/s palette do you enjoy most? They have really good deals if you purchase 3, but I'm not sure if I need them all. Thanks!

  • @1LADYNITA I honestly love all of the BH Cosmetics palettes that I have. My favorites are the 88 Cool Shimmer Palette, 88 Tropical Matte Palette, and the 3rd Edition 120 Palette but you can't go wrong with any one that you choose. They are very pigmented, blend easily, and are not chalky at all. I wouldn't use or recommend anything that I didn't truly like.

  • @DYMOND154 lol, no time soon. I get some many rude, negative, and hurtful comments whenever I do hauls or share things that I have, so at this moment I don't plan to do a makeup collection video any time soon. I definitely may change my mind in the future. I know that a lot of you guys may not agree with my decision but I hope that you understand and respect it.

  • @AllThingsFabulous101 I'm sorry this happened to you. But you know, you're beautiful so of course this happened to you. :(sigh. They tried to run BlackoNyx77 off youtube/the net the same way and they still try and look at where she is now:)

  • very cute look :)

  • @burbujas4029 Thank you :-)

  • love ur nails so cute :)

  • @BreBP91 Thank you :-)

  • Hey! I was wondering how do you like the Coastal Scents HD Foundation? You used two different colors--ST 07& 09--was the ST 08 not a good match?(if it comes in that shade, that is). I guess I should check out their website again. I wonder how it would work on my combination/sensitive skin type. I've heard that you just have to take a pretty good guess in choosing the closest shade match to your skin tone. I'm a pretty difficult shade to match. Anyway, this was a great video...you look FAB! :~)

  • @copperypeach Hey! With the Coastal Scents HD Foundation the ST-07, ST-08, and ST-09 all have different undertones so mixing the ST-07 and ST-09 is what I found works best for me. I do have a video with swatches of the foundation shades to give you an idea of what shade may work for you, but I think that mixing the shades are the best idea because most of the shades are either too orangey/red or too light/olive especially for women of color.

  • very pretty....as always :-)

  • @kaymari00 Thank you so much :-)

  • Very nice, I like that look, go DIVA

  • @ritediva86 Thank you so much.

  • @77Thisisme Thank you so much. I didn't do anything special. All I applied to my cheeks were the products shown in the video: bronzer, blush, and then highlighted my cheekbones.

  • @hekittha Thank you so much!

  • I always hear MUA say- this is a great matte blush to go with the look or this goes great with the matte foundation. So how can I know when is it right to use mattes/shimmers?

Also how do you know when to mix shimmer/matte eye shadow to get a great look?

  • @MsGnette Again I think this all depends on personal preference. When I'm using shimmer shades on the lid, I usually go for a matte brow highlight and then deepen my crease/define my outer "v" using a matte shadow to balance out the look. I also like to use a matte soft brown or a color that's similar to my skintone to blend out the crease and fade into my highlight shade. As for matte versus dewy foundations, that is really going to depend on the particular finish that you prefer/want.

  • I haven’t heard many ask or any MUA talk about-I hope this doesn’t sound cheesy and If anyone out there has an answer please respond.

How do you know when your supposed to use a shimmer OR a matte foundation?

And how do you know when you are suppose to use a shimmer OR a matte blush?

  • @MsGnette Personally, I don't go by any specific rules when choosing matte versus shimmer makeup products, I just wear what I feel looks good on me and compliments the look that I'm trying to achieve. I don't think there's a such thing as the face or makeup looking or being "too matte" but I do think that too much shimmer on your face will make it look like a disco ball but I also think that it depends on everyone's personal preference.

  • @allthingsfabulous101-ok 1 more ? and I promise I wont bother you (for a while) lol.

    there will be 2 post.

  • This look is sooo pretty. Love the hair.... I'm going to do this tonight :)

  • @samstar105 Thank you, I'm sure it will look great on you :-)

  • @TheIhatecreatinguser Thank you! I'm glad that you enjoy my videos, I will definitely continue to make them!

  • @muttami Thank you. I don't have one yet but I will definitely do one.

  • @allthingsfabulous101- just beautiful. I love it!!!!

  • @MsGnette Thank you!

  • @allthingsfabulous101-also can you tell me why you use 2 eyeshadow primers?

the urban decay and the mac painterly?

Im just trying to understand your tech, and learn as I watch you. I think you are amazing!

  • @MsGnette Thank you. I find from personal experience that my eyeshadow lasts longer when using both a primer(Urban Decay Primer Potion) and also a base(MAC Painterly Paintpot/NYX Jumbo Pencil/Cream Eyeshadow)

  • @AllThingsFabulous101 -thank you, im going to try this out.

  • @allthingsfabulous101-taht first step that you did, were you applying moisturizer with a brush? is that how you prefer to apply your moisturizer??

    just wanted to know-

  • @MsGnette Yes, I prefer to apply moisturizer using a brush for a more even application also so that I don't touch my face too much and to prevent breakouts.

  • So my first question is: if now I have combo dry/oily skin and I’m using a very moisturizing cream will this cause me to break out more?

2nd: What do you recommend for breakouts and prevention?

I’ve always cleaned my face and used cleansers and toners-although not lately. What should I be doing on a daily/regular basis?

3rd: How do I clear my skin up now?

  • @MsGnette I can only speak from my personal experiences, I've never had acne prone skin, no one in my family does but I do get an occasional blemish or whatnot. I don't use any particular products to prevent breakouts and I'm not sure how you can clear up your skin because I as said, I've never dealt with acne or major breakouts. I know that the typical skincare routine should consist of cleansing, exfoliating, toning, and hydrating/moisturizing your skin.

  • @AllThingsFabulous101 -thank you, sorry it was a 3 part ?. I prob made myself sound like I have a pizza face, its not that bad honest. I just get a new blemish every day and I think it ahs to do with my moisturizer. but thanks for your honesty. I think I will stop at the clinique counter this weekend.

  • @AllThingsFabulous101 -After high school it seemed that I had dry skin. I’ve always used moisturizers no brand in particular.

But lately (the last 5yrs or so) I’ve had an increase in breakouts- I thought it was hormonal. But recently I started using a plain oil of Olay moisturizer and it leaves my face very damp/Dewey/almost greasy and since then I’ve been breaking out.

  • @MsGnette If you have combination to oily skin, using something that leaves your face greasy is only going to make your skin more oily and oil build up will just cause more breakouts. I suggest switching to a moisturizer for specifically made for oily skin. I would also recommend going to a dermatologist to really see what's going on with your skin and then they came recommend either over the counter or prescription skincare products that may help clear up your skin.

  • @AllThingsFabulous101 - ok I know you are not a prof, but maybe you can help me out. I’m 27 and I seem to be having the worse acne/breakouts I’ve ever had. Growing up middle/high school I never broke-out, basically had perfect skin.

  • @MsGnette Common ways to prevent breakouts/help to improve your skin: drinking lots of water, washing your pillowcases more frequently because germs and bacteria from your pillow case cause lead to breakouts since you lay your face on them, a skincare regimen consisting of regular cleansing, exfoliating, toning, and moisturizing, and the biggest tip is finding the products that work for your skin and sticking to it. What works for others may not work for you, it's all about what works for you.

  • @AllThingsFabulous101 -great advice!

  • your pictures are fabulous you look flawless , what camera do you use sweetie? xxxx

  • @xbabeyjadex Thank you very much. I use either my Samsung Full HD Camcorder and take them myself using its remote control or I use one of two Canon Digital SLR cameras that we own.

  • @messiejessie92 Thank you so much! I try to do looks that can be easily recreated because I'm just an everyday girl that likes to look my best. I'm no superstar professional makeup artist, so looks with lots & lots of steps definitely aren't my thing. I'm so glad that you enjoy my videos :-)

  • @messiejessie92 - i agree, she is so classy!

  • @messiejessie92 - i agree, she is so classy!

i love how she actually responds to most of her comments- not like the other gurus!

  • @MsGnette

I know! She isn't always trying to push products on us like some gurus do these days, which makes me feel like her intentions are not selfish but actually more for our benefit :)

  • You look beautiful!

  • @makeupgemz Thank you!

  • VERY BEAUTIFUL LOOK! i love brown smokey eyes...I think they compliment me best, I'd like to make a request if you could do a green smokey eye. When you have brown/dark brown eyes green actually compliments them. However, not a bold green just a nice suttle. fall type of green. Thank you, as always you have my support!

  • @ItsMeFawn Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial. I can definitely do that.

  • hi, can you do a everyday, simple look?

  • @smoochieface1 You're very welcome, I'm glad that you enjoy my videos. Thank you so much for your support.

  • a mac artist told me not to get the set powder cuz it photographs horribly. but it was undetectable in your photos. have you had any experience with it showing up on your clients in photos?

    btw your top is fab

  • @barbiedefined Thank you. I've never had an issue with that in my photos or my clients photos. The set powder works well for me personally but I don't use it everyday on myself, I use it for special occasions and these type of looks.

  • You resemble Angela Simmons a little bit. But nonetheless another great video. I really like the idea of a makeup and hair tutorial all in one. Sometimes I'm stumped on what to do with my hair once the make up is done or vice versa. lol I soo love this video for that 2 in one offer!

  • @trisharose87 Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial. I will definitely do more 2 in 1 videos.

  • The make up is stunning, the hair is stunning, you are stunning fabulous job! :)

  • I'm so glad I found your videos. Your so good with makeup. Love the look by the way. lol..

  • @tamoniva12 Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked the look.

  • Very very beautiful look. Was a little distracted with the banner running thru the middle. Maybe you can place it near the bottom so we can see your pretty face. Much love.

  • @TrayTrayBaby Thank you so much. There's no way to place it further towards the bottom of the screen with the editing software that I use, I wish there was because I definitely would.

  • gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @tygagirl26 Thank you!

  • Are the brushes a set? M

  • @wardkare Most of the brushes that I used in the tutorial are from Sigma brush sets except for the brush I applied my foundation with, it is sold separately on the Sigma Beauty website. Of course the MAC 217 brush that I used can be purchased from MAC Cosmetics.

  • HI Beauty! The brushes! I must have the

  • @wardkare Hi! I really love the brushes.
