I love all dogs and have had many. I bought an American Bull Dog last year and I am so in love with her it is ridiculous. She spoons, watches tv with discerning taste--nat-geo, animal planet, etc., has gentle eating habits, loves kids, has a great sense of humor-- won't start a fight but will finish it to protect me or if some dog is just mean--i mean really. I wish my boyfriend could measure up. Thank you for loving the breed.

American Bulldogs are vicious, I'm not gonna lie. I had one for four years. She bit me, my sister and my cousin. She was my best friend, I still can't believe she's gone... She was with us during the earthquake in Japan, not even sure how you get an American Bulldog in Japan, but we did. She was with us when I graduated Jr. high too... @l2gamerVazgen13 I would reccomend getting a puppy and being sure to socialize it with many different people and animals. (To avoid it possibly attacking or being scared of others.) If you are going to get an American bulldog, read up on the breed! This includes How tall it's going to get, temperment, weight, etc. Be sure to get him/her from a breeder! Then ask for papers for not only the pup, but the mother, father, their mother and father. This ensures that you will not get an inbred dog.
By far one of the best breed of dogs. I had the good luck of rescuing a female at about 2yrs old...7 years later I've had nothing but loyalty out of this dog....
:49 made me sad =(. Thats how my Mia looked when she was a puppy she passed away last year how i miss her(she had good life and was 14years old). Great dogs loyal and family oriented if you plan on having more then one pet get them used to other animals early.
i have a scott 7 month old and he is great with my 6 year old and 12 year old. but not a fan of other dogs. he has 3 dog friends that are the trainers and they play and have fun but hes an asshole to other dogs and most people but i love him and we are working with him. hes extremely smart, but he really can be a dick. ill post video response if i can figure it out. hes also a great retreiver of unbroken clay pigeons i found out yesterday.
@FaintHD A Johnson is a Bully, larger than a Scott and very powerful. A Scott type is smaller and looks a little more pit bullish imo, and more athletic than a Johnson (but not always). A hybrid is a pup from a Johnson/Scott mix. I have a three year old Hybrid that I love to pieces. She is a very loving dog I just wish she was just a touch less protective. If you're considering a Bulldog please research about the breed. They are the gladiators of the dog world!
hey i have an american bulldog ive had him nearly a yr from 8 week old so he has just turned 1. he is from the scott side but he dont look as mean as some scott types ive seen on youtube, will that be because he is still a puppy being just turned 1 or will he stay like he looks now. either way i still love him

and sass' back teeth are coming through and i was playing with her chew toy with her and she missed the toy and bit my leg, she destroyed the sky remote, well the back rubbery bit has little holes and little things that look like needle holes.
good point, too many people stereotype the bully breeds i have a female american bulldog myself and first thing people say when they see her uneducatedly wow you have a big pit. til i say no shes an american bulldog. but people tend to look down on the breeds when you try to find an apartment just due to thinking that a couple bad pit bulls, staffordshires or any of the bully breeds makes them all bad dogs

@dazzag I know what you mean. My dog is a half Lab, half AB and a lot of people think he's part PB. Don't get me wrong, I actually like PB's, but it does irk me when I hear someone say he looks like a pit. I love my 4 yr old American Bulldog He is the best and smartest dog I have ever owned! Very protective in the house, car and with me. But also scared of small dogs. They are Awesome Dogs!!
and shes a baaaad ass dog, to man or beast....if you read up on american bulldogs, you will see that they are super guard dogs and wild boar catch dogs.
so its o,k, if they are protective. its actualy something you have to take out of them at a very young age....
