The American show needs to employ more stand up comics and less script comedians!!! Guys like Tom Green for instance are funny as hell in movies but are totally crap at improvising their own material IMO. The difference between the aussie and yank versions are the actors and their backgrounds in the comedy industry. I think thats why alot of people think the aussie version is so much funnier... Coz the aussie actors are picked for their personal quality and not how well read scripts in movies.

Dude, I totally agree. I never quite understood why they never hired IMPROVISORS. You know, people who have had experience with that sort of thing. There are a plethora of comedians I would have liked to have seen perform of the show, but I assume they only hired notable names that Americans could recognize. I always wanted anybody from "Whose Line is it Anyway" to be on the show. How does Shannon Elizabeth get on the show over Colin Mochrie? Honestly, now.

But the American viewers would preffer to see more recognisable faces.Imagine if they put Shannon Elizabeth on Whos Line, the ratings would go through the roof but the show would be crap! What ecxatctly is Australian humor? It's probably a similar version of American humor, but what do I know? I do know that Icelandic humor kicks their asses! It's just so different and brilliant! American wouldn't like it, but Americans only like things that are American. As an example: High Voltage by AC/DC (Australian band, and one of my favorites) only got crap reviews in the U.S.
