I will try to keep an open mind about this movie but it really doesn't look that good from what i've seen so far, & 4 the ppl that keep talking bout him being in the last dragon remake at best he will have a cameo or something he won't be the star of the film. you guys need to keep an open mind about new or any fresh face they choose. when Taimak did last dragon it wasn't like he was high profile actor, he was a fresh face, I don't see Rihanna 2 as Vanity either i thought they'ed get Ciara.
Busta Rymes should portray Sho' Nuff...whom out there agrees. Sma Jckson got Afro Samurai, and The Jedi cartoon series already locked up. We need to C some fresh blood/crazy talent like Busta
I agree JOHNYBOY11S. Everyone connects the Last Dragon with Taimak and visa versa, so if they bring the movie back, Taimak should be a part of it especially since he's proven to me and anyone that knows him that he's still go "The Moves!"

No, actually.Its just that going through the other advertisements and reading the synopsis clearly gives one those ideas. It is all of our endeavor as Taimak fans to support this project. If I didn't like the premise I'd say "I don't like the premise," however I do. As far as impressing the investors, at least you can say I've done my part. I'm interested in this project and will follow up regularly. Nevertheless,my comments alone wont sway the investors. Ultimately, money talks, BS walks.
Furthermore, Taimak has hi ideals. If he didn't think this movie was right for him, he wouldn't have accepted the part unless he knew he could make it do what it do...otherwise he must have been desperate!
The film is an action sci-fi film so it all works out for Taimak. There are scenes and settings in the film that include more than the badlands we see here but I won't give that away, Kilo's probably tapping his keys against his thigh as he reads this..Don't worry Lei, I know when to shut up.LOL! I believe Repeat Offenders will be a great film in its "Perfected" final cut! I also agree that your approach makes any talented artist re-evaluate their ideas for the better if there is a possibilty.
Kilo, Taimak and the crew, glad to see you guys are staying focused on the project. There's always going to be somebody out there with something negative to say. That's just the way of the world. The movie could bomb, and there would still be people who thought it was great. The movie could be a hit, and there will be someone waiting in the wings talking about how bad it was. Some will think it good, some won't. Actually, according to Kilo, Repeat Offenders theme was NOT to be a Martial Arts film. Martial Arts was intergrated into the Alliance's fighting style to enhance the energy of the film(through Tai of course)which I think was a good choice.

It's amazing how much info you can get from the trailer that doesn't really show the plot, but yes, you're right. We're all repeat offenders in some form or fashion & I hope after seeing this movie (once shot) that people will walk away loving the story...the action...but especially the message. Can't give it away, but once the checks are in the bank I will gladly announce that we are in preproduction.
The storyline truly is unique and archetypal in its universal appeal, SheBrice. God knows I've seen enough of the stereo typical elements of story- Go KILO! I imagine Repeat Offenders will definitely have many poeple wondering what they're all doing in this life...Can't wait for the Premier!
I think that this storyline just might bring people to some self-examination, which is always good. I like it when I leave a flick and I feel inspired to clean house (mentally or spiritually). You know . . . take an assessment of some personal things. I don't feel like that with every movie, but I believe I will with this one.

Hey, guys, lets remember that every story real or fiction has its antagonist. We should respect godbody's reality whether we like it or not. You don't see Tai in here battling with it;it is what it is. I think whats more important is that the story answers those six most important questions vividly and sensationally. And, if I've learned anything about Kilo and his writing,(see blog on myspace) Tai and his acting, RO won't disappoint. We'll have to wait and see. Meanwhile, continue the hoopla!

HOLLYWOODSABZ.even weN TAI got that role for last dragon.he never acted before that.so imagine how many times tai had to go over the takes to get the scenes right.and if it was like that.then anyone could have played that part.but taimak must of had that look they wanted so they went with him.i'm sure there were otha guys there that had wat it takes for the fighting scenes.tai lucked up instead.they must have seen he was a good match for vanity cuz of his pretty boy status..i cant knock him tho

4) B&B has a lot of great potential & I wish the best of success for Mike & Ben because it's hard for brother to make it in Hollywood.
5) Ben Ramsey (B&B, The Big Hit), and Kantz (Love & a Bullet) are two brothers that are working hard to not only make it in Hollywood, but to get natural talent there too. We support each other's work, and they support RO giving their constructive critique on the project.

1) Mike & Tai are both REAL fighters from East Coast. Neither are soft or should be taken lightly.
2) I was at the private screening of Blood & Bone and have known Director Ben Ramsey for a few years, so I know first hand that getting B&B to come together was a long process.
3) because RO has NOT been shot yet, we can't show the most revealing story trailer because that is reserved for the investors who will not invest if the detailed story is public.

Unfortunately, no matter how many different ways it has been said that RO HAS NOT BEEN FILMED YET and therefore ACTUAL MOVIE FOOTAGE IN A TRAILER IS NOT POSSIBLE AT THIS POINT, it seems to be to no avail. Taimak, how's it going? I tell you, seeing this active debate about "REPEAT OFFENDERS" just increases my anticipation of the event all the more. I can hardly wait for this to ACTUALLY be filmed as I don't think it's clear still to some that it hasn't been. This "teaser" was not made for an Ebert review, but to put a brief, visual frame to Kilo's script. It's a proposal to the end product. The end product will be what it needs to be--your big screen return is highly anticipated and rightly so.
I agree, Shebrice. It was surely a "teaser". But most often than not we only get one chance at a first impression. I believe in my heart that Taimak is vey talented at everything he touches and so is Kilo, evidently. So why not make that fist impression so jaw dropping that it would be impossible to walk away from. The thing that can make a huge difference in the trailer is the clarity. The trailer is a bit vague and confusing. The "vampire" scene really through me off. It's got crazy potential.
Gotcha' Amind4business, you're a person of excellence--always commendable! And I know you realize that Taimak and Kilo are too. I consider myself in the number as well. That being said, I firmly believe that none of us will be dissatisfied with the final product. That's the most important thing--making the impression there. I happened upon Taimak's site because The Last Dragon was on the night I first posted and I was wondering what he was up to now. When I saw the trailer I was excited that he is still working and wanted to help. It was also good to see that he is almost just as beautiful as my husband. Anyway, my comments are not more than opinions. I have no best sellers or blockbusters under my hat. But I love movies and for some reason I am very creative. I hope to be a blessing to everyone. **Please take this critique in love. I want your dreams to come to fruition. If you want this to settle in Hollywood you've got to show the Exects why they should spend millions on your film and not some dumb horror flick with no plot. Many blessing to you, beautiful and it will come to pass. Compare your trailer with similar films and go from there.
7.) Last but not least....tighten up those fighting scenes. They don't look real at all. Some guy swinging at Tai with a giant weapon didn't look real at all. Speeding that part up just a hair would have added to it's effect.
6.) Hire a masculine voiceover to narrate the trailer. This will explain what the movie is about without giving the goods away. The trailer should not have to be explained by BrendaLove (no offense). We should be able to see the trailer and go....."damn, when does that come out?"
5.) Show only one scene of the women being assaulted. (You want women to become excited about seeing the film as well as men.)If the film appears to be sexist you can cancel out the female demographic (who is your target audience?).
2.) It lacks excitement and PASSION. Perhaps the music can be changed to something different. Perhaps something like a heartbeat while showing flashes of the highlights of the film.
3.) Show more of the quest to get the diamonds.
4.) Show more of the diamonds (will appeal to peoples greed. sad but true).
I am a fan of Taimak. Our names are almost identical (Tamika). But I have got to be honest which I know he'll appreciate. I know your dreams are on the line and this is why I must be honest. Growing businesses is what I do best so here it goes.

It seems that an older crowd would grasp the concept of RO quicker than the young bucks.(but I could be wrong)What are the numbers like at the box office regarding these age groups? Taimak would probably benefit most from an older crowd in terms of box office turnout. An older crowd would know who he is because of TLD. Anyway, I was just curious... RO's is my kind of flik...
Due to story complexity, RO is targeting "story lovers" NOT people that see a lot of action & say, "that was great!" (although there is plenty of action)
Taimak atracts fans of many ages including the young that have seen TLD from their parents. So the target is 25-55 who can enjoy a story that will make them leave the theater talking for days about who was their most favored character & why. Like life it has been created to dwell on and hopefully go back to & see again.

The premise of this film is Human Morality. The idea is, life repeats itself until we learn our life lessons. How the message is delivered depends on the writers and producers. So far, I like their approach. And Taimak, being the compassionate leader and advocate for higher learning(spiritually)that he appears to be, they couldn't have chosen a better candidate to convey that message. We love and admire his sexy persona. Taimak is a great mix for providing excitement, interest and inspiration.

Godbody08, you may be confusing this with a "theatrical trailer." And yes, those are much better quality because it's footage from the ACTUAL movie. Since it hasn't been filmed YET this trailer is a rep to raise money and interest, a "teaser trailer." Hollywood is real clear what their cash can do, that's not the concern. They're looking for thematic soundness and star pull. With Taimak, the movie has both. Hollywood doesn't need a tricked-out teaser trailer, that'd waste pre-production money.

Hello Godbody08! I understand your concern with quality. But again, this IS NOT the film. Nor is this the trailer we will see in theaters or on tv. That comes later and includes real movie footage. And, in case you ever consider doing this, please don't invest a ton in your fundraising trailer. Hollywood is watching for that too. Frugality would be key. They want good writing/superstars and wise fund management abilities. They know it's not the end product just a concept waiting for investment.

Hi, godbody08. I'm not a spokesperson for MOKI at all, just a fan of Taimak's. But, just for the record, I don't feel that anyone's making excuses when saying "this isn't the actual film". Because this trailer was shot with very limited funds, there is no way it's going to fulfill all of your expectations just yet. In all honesty, though, I really feel this is an awesome trailer despite the low budget. Imagine how much better it will be once they've raised enough funds for the entire movie.

He deserves the opportunity to showcase the true thespian that he is and has been cultivating all of these years. To every director, producer, talent agent, and screenwriter, I implore you to no longer regard Taimak as the 18 year old novice actor introduced to us in 1985. Instead, see him as a disciplined man who deserves to be showcased comedically, dramatically, and romantically.
I believe Taimak Guarriello has lived a life that qualifies him to return to the silver screen. In an age where we've seen so many young stars destroyed by drug addiction, crime, and suicide, he should be celebrated for his commitment to sobriety, hard work, discipline and so much more. If one imperfect man can exercise this type of discipline for 20 plus years, one can only presume that a focus on the artistic side has been there as well.
I would love to see Taimak in a lot of movies. He is amazing. Leading man material, definitely. He is also a jaw-dropping martial artist. I think he sooo handsome, and charismatic.

I will try to keep an open mind about this movie but it really doesn't look that good from what i've seen so far, & 4 the ppl that keep talking bout him being in the last dragon remake at best he will have a cameo or something he won't be the star of the film. you guys need to keep an open mind about new or any fresh face they choose. when Taimak did last dragon it wasn't like he was high profile actor, he was a fresh face, I don't see Rihanna 2 as Vanity either i thought they'ed get Ciara.

No, actually.Its just that going through the other advertisements and reading the synopsis clearly gives one those ideas. It is all of our endeavor as Taimak fans to support this project. If I didn't like the premise I'd say "I don't like the premise," however I do. As far as impressing the investors, at least you can say I've done my part. I'm interested in this project and will follow up regularly. Nevertheless,my comments alone wont sway the investors. Ultimately, money talks, BS walks.

The film is an action sci-fi film so it all works out for Taimak. There are scenes and settings in the film that include more than the badlands we see here but I won't give that away, Kilo's probably tapping his keys against his thigh as he reads this..Don't worry Lei, I know when to shut up.LOL! I believe Repeat Offenders will be a great film in its "Perfected" final cut! I also agree that your approach makes any talented artist re-evaluate their ideas for the better if there is a possibilty.

Thank's Godbody, I appreciate your sincerity in saying that. At least we know you are Taimak fan. I must agree with MSParkinson though, some will like it and some won't. Some will think it good, some won't. Actually, according to Kilo, Repeat Offenders theme was NOT to be a Martial Arts film. Martial Arts was intergrated into the Alliance's fighting style to enhance the energy of the film(through Tai of course)which I think was a good choice.

It's amazing how much info you can get from the trailer that doesn't really show the plot, but yes, you're right. We're all repeat offenders in some form or fashion & I hope after seeing this movie (once shot) that people will walk away loving the story...the action...but especially the message. Can't give it away, but once the checks are in the bank I will gladly announce that we are in preproduction.

I think that this storyline just might bring people to some self-examination, which is always good. I like it when I leave a flick and I feel inspired to clean house (mentally or spiritually). Everybody has true colors;doesn't matter who it is. It's when those colors show that reveals what we're made of and how much we're loved. Hey, guys, lets remember that every story real or fiction has its antagonist. We should respect godbody's reality whether we like it or not. You don't see Tai in here battling with it;it is what it is. I think whats more important is that the story answers those six most important questions vividly and sensationally. And, if I've learned anything about Kilo and his writing,(see blog on myspace) Tai and his acting, RO won't disappoint. We'll have to wait and see. Meanwhile, continue the hoopla!

RO was filmed somewhat.or it wouldnt be on here.theyre just makin changes now probably.even if its to get attention from investors.are investors going to take a chance at somethin thats not CATCHING enuff..maybe theres a chance.cuz i've seen movies in video stores that look like theyve still been made by camcorders.lol.not sayin this is.but its 2008 and i see companies still makin low quality movies.but ive seen low budget movies that still be better than big budget.depends on who's behind it

Hey here's an idea. Since RO HAS NOT BEEN FILMED YET, those of us that believe in the inevitable success of the COMPLETED theatrical release and are supporters of the PHENOMENA THAT IS TAIMAK should rally around this the more. We can't get distracted by divisiveness. We should drop positive comments on here every few days, EVERYday if you have the time. HOLLYWOODSABZ.even weN TAI got that role for last dragon.he never acted before that.so imagine how many times tai had to go over the takes to get the scenes right.and if it was like that.then anyone could have played that part.but taimak must of had that look they wanted so they went with him.i'm sure there were otha guys there that had wat it takes for the fighting scenes.tai lucked up instead.they must have seen he was a good match for vanity cuz of his pretty boy status..i cant knock him tho

hollywoodsabz..you need to watch a kickboxing match cuz i have and that stuff is boring.its like the movie KARATE KID but with pads and head gear on.bunch of love tap punches and kicks.nothin serious in that like the ufc.taimak knew not to enter that after seeing his teacher get choked out by one of the GRACIES.his was like a 9th degree black belt.doesnt matter in that octagon.only the strong survive.and the way taimaks fighting style is he would have got chewed up in that sport.kickboxing.lol

4) B&B has a lot of great potential & I wish the best of success for Mike & Ben because it's hard for brother to make it in Hollywood.
5) Ben Ramsey (B&B, The Big Hit), and Kantz (Love & a Bullet) are two brothers that are working hard to not only make it in Hollywood, but to get natural talent there too. We support each other's work, and they support RO giving their constructive critique on the project.

A few things:
1) Mike & Tai are both REAL fighters from East Coast. Neither are soft or should be taken lightly.
2) I was at the private screening of Blood & Bone and have known Director Ben Ramsey for a few years, so I know first hand that getting B&B to come together was a long process.
3) because RO has NOT been shot yet, we can't show the most revealing story trailer because that is reserved for the investors who will not invest if the detailed story is public.

Unfortunately, no matter how many different ways it has been said that RO HAS NOT BEEN FILMED YET and therefore ACTUAL MOVIE FOOTAGE IN A TRAILER IS NOT POSSIBLE AT THIS POINT, it seems to be to no avail. blood and bone is a $4 million finished product and repeat offenders is a test trailer in order to get the money to do the real movie, it dcost a fraction of the cost of blood and bone. So do your research before you start hatin on the project...Taimak won the ny state kickboxing championship when he was 18 and has proven he can act aswell. just cause he don't look like a thug doesn't mean he ain't hard. Don't judge a book by his sweet and sexy cover;)

Even if this trailer was crappy (which it's NOT), that has nothing to do with Taimak's skills. Taimak, how's it going? I tell you, seeing this active debate about "REPEAT OFFENDERS" just increases my anticipation of the event all the more. I can hardly wait for this to ACTUALLY be filmed as I don't think it's clear still to some that it hasn't been. This "teaser" was not made for an Ebert review, but to put a brief, visual frame to Kilo's script. It's a proposal to the end product. The end product will be what it needs to be--your big screen return is highly anticipated and rightly so.

I agree, Shebrice. It was surely a "teaser". But most often than not we only get one chance at a first impression. I believe in my heart that Taimak is vey talented at everything he touches and so is Kilo, evidently. So why not make that fist impression so jaw dropping that it would be impossible to walk away from. The thing that can make a huge difference in the trailer is the clarity. The trailer is a bit vague and confusing. The "vampire" scene really through me off. It's got crazy potential.

I happened upon Taimak's site because The Last Dragon was on the night I first posted and I was wondering what he was up to now. When I saw the trailer I was excited that he is still working and wanted to help. It was also good to see that he is almost just as beautiful as my husband. Anyway, my comments are not more than opinions. I have no best sellers or blockbusters under my hat. But I love movies and for some reason I am very creative. I hope to be a blessing to everyone. If you want this to settle in Hollywood you've got to show the Exects why they should spend millions on your film and not some dumb horror flick with no plot. 7.) Last but not least....tighten up those fighting scenes. They don't look real at all. Some guy swinging at Tai with a giant weapon didn't look real at all. Speeding that part up just a hair would have added to it's effect.

6.) Hire a masculine voiceover to narrate the trailer. This will explain what the movie is about without giving the goods away. The trailer should not have to be explained by BrendaLove (no offense). We should be able to see the trailer and go....."damn, when does that come out?"

5.) Show only one scene of the women being assaulted. (You want women to become excited about seeing the film as well as men.)If the film appears to be sexist you can cancel out the female demographic (who is your target audience?).

2.) It lacks excitement and PASSION. Perhaps the music can be changed to something different. Perhaps something like a heartbeat while showing flashes of the highlights of the film.

I'm glad you said that cuz it shouldn't. RO will show the darkest of human nature. We explore the reality that even good people do bad things for the right reasons. What happens to the "Asian girl" is so horiffic that the Heros have to get dirty to make the wrong right.
While shooting the torture scene, 3 women walked off set (couldn't watch)...Enter the Taimak's team to serve-up payback!
This will ask the question, "How far will you go to stop an innocent from being brutalized?

This question is directed to you Kilo, since you are the writer of Repeat Offenders. Who exactly is the targeted audience? It seems that an older crowd would grasp the concept of RO quicker than the young bucks.(but I could be wrong)What are the numbers like at the box office regarding these age groups? Taimak would probably benefit most from an older crowd in terms of box office turnout. An older crowd would know who he is because of TLD. Anyway, I was just curious... RO's is my kind of flik...

Due to story complexity, RO is targeting "story lovers" NOT people that see a lot of action & say, "that was great!" (although there is plenty of action)
Taimak atracts fans of many ages including the young that have seen TLD from their parents. So the target is 25-55 who can enjoy a story that will make them leave the theater talking for days about who was their most favored character & why. Like life it has been created to dwell on and hopefully go back to & see again.

The premise of this film is Human Morality. The idea is, life repeats itself until we learn our life lessons. How the message is delivered depends on the writers and producers. So far, I like their approach. And Taimak, being the compassionate leader and advocate for higher learning(spiritually)that he appears to be, they couldn't have chosen a better candidate to convey that message. We love and admire his sexy persona. Taimak is a great mix for providing excitement, interest and inspiration.

Godbody08, you may be confusing this with a "theatrical trailer." And yes, those are much better quality because it's footage from the ACTUAL movie. Since it hasn't been filmed YET this trailer is a rep to raise money and interest, a "teaser trailer." Hollywood is real clear what their cash can do, that's not the concern. They're looking for thematic soundness and star pull. With Taimak, the movie has both. Hollywood doesn't need a tricked-out teaser trailer, that'd waste pre-production money.

missSheila.i see ur a tru fan.but you shouldnt explain to another whats going on if you dont actually kno yourself.taimak has already explained this to everyone.they should give you a job tho.cause you do the promotions for them well even if the movie sucks.lol.i'm not a director.but even wit limited funds.i would have still made my trailor better.this trailor was easy to do anyway.wasnt no special effects or nothin in here.but i'm sure they will fix it since they got time..thanx to us

Hello Godbody08! I understand your concern with quality. But again, this IS NOT the film. Nor is this the trailer we will see in theaters or on tv. That comes later and includes real movie footage. And, in case you ever consider doing this, please don't invest a ton in your fundraising trailer. Hollywood is watching for that too. Frugality would be key. They want good writing/superstars and wise fund management abilities. They know it's not the end product just a concept waiting for investment.

LMAO!! I gave you thumbs-up on that. I think I WILL apply for a job. LOLOL!! And you're right, I don't know for sure what's going on. But I felt that since it is what's been told to us thus far, why not reiterate it so that Taimak and his producers would not have to. I'm with shebrice when she mentioned a "theatrical trailer" would be from a finished movie. This movie is not finished at all, so why invest in so much quality in the very early stages?

i definitly hear to many excuses for this trailer.people sayin this is not the actual movie or watever.then why was this trailer made if it had nothin to do wit it the actual movie.doesnt make sense at all.i guess if it would of got better reviews.you guys would of said this is the actual movie huh.and taimak is my nigga.and i kno he would respect honesty instead of people frontin sayin this is good when its really not.and who's going to look foward to the actual movie if the trailer loks boring

Hi, godbody08. I'm not a spokesperson for MOKI at all, just a fan of Taimak's. But, just for the record, I don't feel that anyone's making excuses when saying "this isn't the actual film". Because this trailer was shot with very limited funds, there is no way it's going to fulfill all of your expectations just yet. In all honesty, though, I really feel this is an awesome trailer despite the low budget. Imagine how much better it will be once they've raised enough funds for the entire movie.

Hi, Darthsikk. This is not the actual movie. This is just the trailer that was shot as a fund-raiser in hopes to raise money to make the movie, Repeat Offenders. It will help give Investors and Distributors an idea of what the movie will be like. With the budget locked, they will be able to re-shoot these scenes and the entire movie.

He deserves the opportunity to showcase the true thespian that he is and has been cultivating all of these years. To every director, producer, talent agent, and screenwriter, I implore you to no longer regard Taimak as the 18 year old novice actor introduced to us in 1985. Instead, see him as a disciplined man who deserves to be showcased comedically, dramatically, and romantically.
I am looking forward to his return!

I believe Taimak Guarriello has lived a life that qualifies him to return to the silver screen. In an age where we've seen so many young stars destroyed by drug addiction, crime, and suicide, he should be celebrated for his commitment to sobriety, hard work, discipline and so much more. If one imperfect man can exercise this type of discipline for 20 plus years, one can only presume that a focus on the artistic side has been there as well.

I would love to see Taimak in a lot of movies. He is amazing. Leading man material, definitely. He is also a jaw-dropping martial artist. I think he sooo handsome, and charismatic.
