Both really nice trucks. Nissan makes some awesome off-road stuff. Xterra is really cool especially the supercharged model. The Frontier has lots of power and the ride is really really good. And Nissan makes good diesels. I have a Tacoma but I'd have a hard time if I had to pick either a Nissan Frontier or a Toyota Tacoma.

@Itaylor2394 they're 4.0l v6...well at least that one is. you can get a 4 banger but that v6 has 235hp but with the upgrades stated probably around 250 260 ish and with light weight, the tailgate down (better aerodynamics) and the right gearing, it kept up pretty good....i have always liked the tacoma...great aftermarket upgrades available as well

Looks like he's running 33"s on his Taco. Stock tires on a Tacoma are 30", and adding even a little bit of tire radius saps a huge amount of power. My point being that he would probably be faster on stock size tires, unless he did some regearing to compensate for bigger tire diameter. Either way, Titans and Tacos are both badass trucks.

They both ran great. The only problem I ever see is 98% of the videos showing Titan smoking the 5.7 Tundra is ridiculous! The Titan came in fifth of sixth during the top 6 shootout in the quarter in '07 or '08. So in reality people think the stock tacoma stands a chance against the tundra? @logandgrant2007 i have a rx8 and duramax and i wouldnt launch in 4wd at all unless you spin the tires a lot... if its a manual you can easily spin the tires so maybe 4 high but def not 4 low...

I wouldn't debate the fact that you did walk on that Tacoma. I'm sure the lift and larger diameter wheels affected that Taco's acceleration. My Tacoma has the original size tires which to me seems to make it just as quick if not quicker than the full size V8's... And of course, it's not always just the vehicle - the driver is a big component. Cool video regarless!
@stough77 He said it didn't affect him that much, he was beating X-Runners as well. We were always a close race, but anything past the 1/8th he would see nothing but my rear.

It was always a fun match between the two of us. We were ALWAYS neck and neck in the 1/8th, and I usually edged him out; except this time. In the 1/4, which I had videos up of us two running, was a different story.
I do give the V6 props, but there is a lot to take in here. Power to weight ratio, let alone gearing. I have 3.36 5 speed, the Tacoma has 4.10 5 speed. That's why he could always keep up in the 1/8th, but in the 1/4 I would beat him by about 2+ lengths.
Of course V8 will smoke it top end, gearing etc. I think Titans are bad ass trucks though, they can sound pretty mean if you find the right exhausts etc. I am just saying that dude is retarded for not even taking into consideration weight gearing length of the course etc.
I looove Titans, but Tacoma gets respect where it is due. :).

Now have an 09 Chevy Duramax lifted on 35's. 2 Toyota Tacoma's, an 05 and My New 11' Tahoe on 33's.. When i tell you these things im talking from research and experience, my buddy's f250 is in the shop as we speak. Its a 2010. i swear its been there 3 times the last month... And dont tell me i didnt take care of the fords, i keep my shit spotless and everything routine.

They both ran great. The only problem I ever see is 98% of the videos showing Titan smoking the 5.7 Tundra is ridiculous! The Titan came in fifth of sixth during the top 6 shootout in the quarter in '07 or '08. So in reality people think the stock tacoma stands a chance against the tundra? I wouldn't debate the fact that you did walk on that Tacoma. I'm sure the lift and larger diameter wheels affected that Taco's acceleration. My Tacoma has the original size tires which to me seems to make it just as quick if not quicker than the full size V8's... And of course, it's not always just the vehicle - the driver is a big component. Cool video regarless!

I do give the V6 props, but there is a lot to take in here. Power to weight ratio, let alone gearing. I have 3.36 5 speed, the Tacoma has 4.10 5 speed. That's why he could always keep up in the 1/8th, but in the 1/4 I would beat him by about 2+ lengths.
