@VWGOLFGTI20VT they dont even make the 2008 summit 151. the rev chassis was built until 2007 and that came in the 151, but the XP came out in 2008 and that came with the 146 or 154, no 151.
Yes they are definately heavy when you get stuck but once your turbo it you dont have to worry about getting stuck anymore. Oh and if you do, its time to break out the shovels. :)
@Turbojeep23 you can get the apex pretty light, mine is the same weight as a 1000 skidoo. Took out over 80 pounds of weight from it. But it does cost to do it.
Hey very nice video man. Do those goggle helmets work pretty well? I'm so tired of using a full face one because it always fogs up. Anyways let me know. Maybe show me a picture of the one you have?
dude amazing love the feeling of the powder crashing over and being under the snow its amazing feeling hello from the kootaneys in british colombia amazing terrain cant wait for summer to be over lol getting a new sled
I've tried that kinda stuff , just can't seem to get it down . I usually end up biting it or falling off . Should i look with both feet planted , or kneeling ? I'm more of a jump special .
I try to keep both feet planted. Sometimes I will bring both legs onto the same side of the sled but I hardly kneel on the seat. Remeber to counter steer.
Its not too tough once you get the hang of it. Ita all about balanace, timing, & throttle. Once you get it down it becomes really easy but does get you tired. It does take effort. A key thing to do is counter steer. The best way for me to describe it is when I am going to puill it over, I lean, hit the throttle, and steer the opposite way i want to go all at the same time.
Thats cool. Thanks, Hopefully I will be able to get up other videos soon. I have more footage this year that I would like to put together. I noticed on a message I got you asked what I used for slomotion. I use Final Cut Pro to edit my stuff and used that program for the slowmotion parts.
great sled! my uncele has the Apex RTX 04 but its black with the red flames. theyre so sleek looking and such great throttle response! and cheers to you for great bonndocking skills id like to ride with you some time but im afraid youd put my 03 zr 600 to shame lol! cheers from all us slednecks in Canada from the maritimes!!
I think it cost my dad around $6,000.00 to get it all set up. Oh and look into the Nytro before you buy an Apex. Those are supposed to be pretty awesome as well. My dad just dropped his off to get turboed for this year. Should be pretty fun if the snow ever starts to fall.
how big of a difference does it make when you throw a turbo on one of those? is it just a couple of hp or enough to surprise the hell out of you if your not used to it?
Yes it does make a big difference. There are many hills that my dad could make it to the top and I couldn't get halfway up without track poaching. Get one. You'll love it.
awesome video!

apex's are awesome sleds, my friend bought one last year.
but i think they are just too heavy, especially if you were to get stuck in the powder. i'll stick with the nice and light 2 strokes.

I use the Scott Turbo Flow goggles with the quick straps. Works great and is a must have for those powder days.
