It's incredible really, to think this song was written & recorded over 40 years ago and it's sound and words are still more relevent and influential than anything recently, or really most things since.

That's why Neil Young is such a legend. He realizes that a true work of art spans through generations and generations of people, and he has never shamed himself in being anything but himself to make his name seem "current" today.

As his music ages, it becomes better, like all fine things.

Had a alcoholic friend who used to play this song constantly when was drunk. His dad was also a drunk and had left him when he was little. He would always sing the line "Old Man take a look at my life, I'm a lot like you' and then take another sip of booze. He drank himself to death at age 30 after living under a bridge.
