Please I need help! Just took mine down and was looking for the buffer. All I can see is metal, arent they plastic? Im not gonna shoot till I find out my guns ok
Some (all?) original buffers have a piece of metal over the front. You should only be worried if there is an obvious empty hole at the upper back of your receiver.
Soon as i get the money... this shit is mine. Fuck the 9mm i was going to get. A Spas 12 would blow a hole into the chest of anybody trying to rob my house!
well i guess you dont know if you knock out the two pins you can take out the whole trigger action and ramp of the gun for complete cleaning even though you said you wouldnt have to strip it more to clean it but why would you complely its not a mossberg 500 piece of crap for a couple hundred bucks since i have owned mine it has gone up 700 dollars value i take mine down to nothing to git every piece of crap buffer compound or gunpowder to make it worth keeping and resale
Thanks for the video! Poeple have been bugging me to make one on the SPAS12 for years!. I am Chris at the website of the same name. Plug: I do have the wear parts mentioned.
Your video is nice -- mine would have a lot of rattling jammed parts and cursing at the gun. :-) It's a good idea to pull the barrel out of the heat guard and look at the slide valve and the gas ports -- lots of blocked gas ports.
I see YouTube blocks posts with email addresses, so let's just say I can be reached as Chris at the com-mon website for SPAS12.
I've been told that it's impossible to find parts for these anymore. Mine is working fine, but hearing that raised concern. Any positive news about this?
Thank you so much for this video! I've been trying (and failing) to get the bolt out of the reciever, so I really appriciate this :) Anyway, is your recoil buffer the cone style or the cylindrical model? And where did you get yours?
Thanks for the compliment! My buffer is the cylindrical type. Got mine from a guy who's e-mail address I won't divulge here. He was producing a large run of them a few months back, not sure how many he has left.
And a big thanks for making this vid!

There's nothing quite like the sound of metal on metal, locking into place.

Its like he said, there are multiple versions. The semi-auto version was called the LAW i think.
yhao1 10 months ago
@yhao1
That is correct. And the pump-only version is called the SAS-12.
joguwa86 10 months ago
Is this still banned in America? Or did it ever lift?
steelbros1 11 months ago
@steelbros1
It is only banned from import.
joguwa86 11 months ago

jcodym13 1 year ago
@jcodym13 the spas is both semi and pump.

Chris, wow! Thanks for the compliment. :P Your website got me interested in the SPAS 12 about 6 years ago.
For a while I'd heard all your parts were gone; are you filling orders again? If so, I just acquired a LAW 12 that needs a new buffer.
joguwa86 1 year ago
Yes, the store is open again.
