@TheE3G depends on your computer and rendering system and how much polygon in the sense.

@TheE3G There's always tips and tricks with not only the rendering engine but the materials and geometry within the scene. Lighting (which also mainly deals with rendering) on it's own is a huge section of 3d and there are people who literally spend years studying what you're trying to do: just get render times down. And of course, hardware is always a big factor.

real nice man, but vray should not take 48 hours a frame. It could be a single mat sample rate that needs lowering on the robot but 48 hours suggests something is wrong somewhere. Without knowing your setup I can't say exactly what. That said, still worth every minute of it :P good job. All your other work is top notch too, just save yourself some render time and optimize each mat's render on a complex shape before rendering everything together. subscribed.
