  • Love this show . Much better than all this "modern", silly stuff !!

  • hope i don't get like that when i'm old.

  • Keep driving!!! Lol.

  • i actually felt bad for hyacith in this one. you know that woman gave her the wrong information.

  • Probably the ONLY time I ever felt sorry for Hyacinth---was when that vile seaman put his filthy paws on her!

  • Hyacinth's face a 3:34 is HILARIOUS. She makes uncomfortable expressions perfectly!

  • 4:46 may be the filthiest joke in the history of this show - if you know what "caulking" is lol

  • The coffee sessions that keep coming back in these series are unforgettable!

  • The commodore definitely looks like a "Where the Wild Things Are" monster...

  • Oh my gosh, I'm so glad to have found this. It's one of my all-time favorite bits from this show!

  • @Minty210 Very true! Her reaction & the Vicar's bugged me too hehe, but I guess I shouldn't read tooo much into a TV show ^^ The only thing I can conclude is that the Commodore is such a creeper!

  • Why do people laugh at attempted molestation/rape? Beats me

  • @Multazima I did feel sorry for Hyacinth, but I couldn't help but laugh. If her discomfort had been greater than her pretentiousness, she would have told the Vicar to stop the car ^^

  • @Multazima

I was going to say the same thing, but thought I would read comments to see if I should Co-SIGN someone.

The sexual harassment is SOOOO NOT FUNNY: although I LOVE this show. But I believe, because of the era and lack of understanding of the effects caused by their behavior, It was easier to set it to comedy.

Or maybe where just too sensitive: but I always cringe at those scenes.

But it is weird to see a male attracted to Hyacinth (although men did like fuller women then).

  • @newone123100

    they did?in the 90's?i don't remember that.

if u mean fuller figure by slightly bigger than a size zero then yes but other than i don't think so.

  • @newone123100 No, you're not alone. Irritating though Hyacinth may be, she doesn't 'deserve' the commodore's attentions as some sort of payback. ~Her~ annoyances are well-meaning - ~his~ employs a sinister kind of bullying that is only ever inflicted on women.

  • @Multazima

because its not real u lot need to lighten up its a sitcom not a real life situation.

besides hyacinth is always harassing ppl its gr8 to see her getting a taste of her own medecine.

  • hello, what does Hy. cry at the end: king.... vicar

I would like to know, its so funny. Thanks, if somebody answers.

  • @moosopal Keeeeeppppppp drrriiiivvviiiingggg vicarrrr

Thats what she says mate ;)

  • @moosopal "Keep driving, vicar!"

  • @moosopal she says "keep driving vicar, keep driving."

  • haha i love when the guys crack onto hyacyinth like the commodore the major etc

  • Poor Vicar!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • ooh thats Hilda from Ever decreasing circles!

  • aw the vicar seemed really concerned for hyacinth at the end, even though she's always irritating him. so sweet.

  • yes, ánd he says Bouquet and not Bucket!

  • You know, I really think Rose is right. The vicar is indeed quite dishy (:

  • I concur! :)

  • She always getting chased down by men lol

  • OMG!! I cannot STAND these perves she manages to find!! The commadore is the worse!! The major is very pervy too but shamefully funny!! But this guy just gave me the willies!! ((((shiver)))) So nasty! No wonder she is the way she is,she's probably been molested her whole life by weirdos!LOL Gotta love this show though!

  • you're so right!! LOL 'nasty' is the right word!!! yuck!!

  • hahaha!! As a straight man Id agree with you...No nightmare could be as bad as waking up to him at the foot of your bed. Id scream for my life..

  • Oooh look, Warwick railway station. And the Chesford Grange Hotel!

  • its so funny how men try to take advantage of hyacinth. i.e - the major, the commodore. why do they find her attractive haha.

  • Reminds me of when I was with a chaparoned group and I stepped next door for a minute to get a few things at a store. I encountered a man in a truck who was trying to lure me away with him . To not offend and to get back I said "I have a boyfriend" to which he replied "so what, I have a wife", as though that wasn't supposed to stop me from his "charms", or that his comment was supposed to win me over and change my mind.

  • You poor thing. Sometimes people are so gross. You really have to be careful.

  • Who was the awesome, criminally unknown character actor who played the Commodore?

  • Richard Davenport

  • ending scene rules!

  • hee hee Give us a kiss!

  • That Hyacinth sure has a way with certain men! I wonder how Richard was with her when they were young?!

  • The vicar is good looking

  • The Major I ment, not the Mayor

  • why does everyone try to rape mrs bucket?

  • Only old men

  • there where 4 of them: The Mayor, the village idiot, the Commodore and Senor Farrini.

  • which one is Senor Farrini?

  • In season 5, episode 1. the one from Spain, in the lightbrown 3 piece.

  • There was also Dorian from the episode where Hyacinth and Richard stay at Violet's country house.

  • Right, I was forgot to mention that one.

  • @antigauche and the yokel when she and richard look at country cottages. "How dare you sir take advantage of me when my husband's incapacitated." that was so funny when she said that.

  • The Major was my fav from them all.
