  • Dammit, I accidently pressed dislike on this wonderful song. T_T Damn touch screen phone!

  • This album is referenced in the book

    "I Fysche

    II Fysche

    Raw Fysche

    Gold Fysche"

who will be interviewed Tuesday June 14 10amEST on SpirituallyRawDOTCOM

Thank you Billy Corgan for being on the book cover!!!!!!!!!!

  • fuck this shit i should be in 1992 right now, i was built for 90s and just missed out -_-

  • @TheHiddenAnswer than start you own band and make the music you wanna hear that's what i'm trying to do now... and that's what you should be doing too.

  • @punkcalvin84 i know man, thats the plan but i just find it hard to meet other people that i can truly relate to on a musical sense, maybe this summer will be the start

  • @TheHiddenAnswer i know, i go to a small school where most kids are into country, 60s cover songs, and of course the awful corporate pop crap that's being shoved down the throats of small minded youth. all i need is a singer and a drummer but aparently age limits and licenses are an expensive yet highly insignificant effort for people that have different goals besides working in an office.

  • This was an awesome album. I would dare to say the best one by them~

  • best breakup line ever: just try to find a messiah in your trinity, bitch

  • This is the kickasss Smashing Pumpkins not that soft, love song garbage that he's gotten more used to doing over time.

  • Is this filmed at the Double Door? Great club to play in Chicago....

  • Smashing Pumpkins> Nirvana. Nirvana is one of the greatest bands of all time but The Smashing Pumpkins is the greatest band of all time. In my eyes Kurt Cobain is Jesus but Billy Corgan is GOD!

  • After being bored, I am sorry I ever read almost of these comments. SP should not be grouped with the 90's alternative rock that was sometimes called "grunge". Bands like Pearl Jam and Nirvana were horrible. When they phased in, I phased out. I love the Pumpkins and do not like to use words like "all" when talkin music, but all of that grunge sucked. I just never got into Pearl Jam, Nirvana, etc. Those bands killed music. Thank God they didn't kill metal. Metal Brothers Unite! Support Metal!!!

  • @MPetrozzaIsGod oh come on man nirvana and pearl jam did not suck,i will admit that some of there songs did get a little boring but most of them were good

  • @MegaNoah360 I am a metalhead at heart, after the arrival of "Nevermind", one of my fave Seattle bands, Sanctuary was killed by record execs wanting them to change to a "grunge sound". It totally broke up Sanctuary, although they did have a reform of sorts as "Nevermore". It was just an opinion of mine because I always seem to hear the Billy vs. Kurt talks. No offense intended. As I said, I do not like to say "all", I just do not like the SP being grouped with grunge. Thanks for being cool!

  • @MPetrozzaIsGod and no offense taken i respect your opinion

  • Gish was amazing .. Most people don't like it and simply they only had one good album but that is so not true..

  • @BlackTeddies ... Gish was their best record by far!! The others were very good but nowhere near as good as Gish.

  • the conversation always goes like this, "smashing pumpkins suck" , "maybe later stuff, but GISH is awesome" , "oh yeah, i forgot about that album" , "helped start alternative music, along with primus, jane's, soundgarden, alice in chains, pearl jam...." , "yeah good call, i need to go get GISH again, someone stole it from me" , "I think i've bought that cd a dozen times" end of story.

  • @alice99pokemon Theese days music could have come out today and be ultra up to date and it would still suck.

  • This is back when they kicked ass!!

  • THE 90'S WERE THE BEST TIME MUSIC HAS EVER LAID ITS FEET ON EARTH

  • @alice99pokemon and fresh!

  • badass drummer-jms

  • nothing like the 90's....i wana go back in time and stay there...

  • what happened to darcy n james iha?

  • @bluedagchump darcy has a farm in michigan and james is a part of a perfect circle.

  • @keeperoftheducks96 She's in jail, I think...

  • @bluedagchump wikipedia is your friend

  • how the pumps should sound!

  • hmmm ... bass guitar solo ... does not work

  • @18richardson are you stupid?

  • gish, siamese dream, and mellon collie are three of the best albums i've ever heard.

  • This album I wore out on tape, I f'n loved this band for this album, this was so hot then still makes my hair on the back of my neck stand up straight.

  • I was so heavy into Gish. Still love it. D'Arcy is my favorite bassist ever. She is the 90's for me. I wanted to be D'Arcy -- this cool chick bassist in a great band. I was heavy into Siamese Dream too as was everyone.

  • i am one

    as you are three

  • the most powerful of their library, i am one, reminding each of us, that WE are the world.

  • His vocals in the first verse in a little way remind me of Layne Staley from Alice In Chains

  • I had forgotten how great an album Gish was.

  • priceless. give me for ten bucks

  • I have the original vinyl flexi disk of this, just this song, one of 200 pressed when they were just signed, how much would it be worth?

  • @thediamondsea1 depends on the condition

  • @thediamondsea1 are you talking about the one pressed to promote their uk premier? If so there were 250 made however their is not a huge demand. When one does go up for sale it usually fetches between 200-400$ Not hardly worth selling if you are a collector or gish lover. To the right person and considering condition it could fetch up to 1000$ Just a guess. I bought one for 85 euros 4 years ago. How did you acquire it if i can ask?

  • yes when they came to Seattle it was worth the wait in mid Jan to buy tickets!!!

  • best band ever!

  • Comment removed

  • no matter what you think of billy corgan they were definately ahead of there time with this shit. it still holds water to me

  • @6969Chazz

    "no matter what you think"...

    we're alll brothers & sisters, right ?

  • Billy Coorgan looks like a nice old hippie lady who's into witchcraft in this video.

I still love him and Smashing Pumpkins all the same. <3

  • did this used to play on radio?

  • geez, d'arcy was hot back then!

  • More kick-ass music from The Pumpkins 1st CD.

  • Damn crazy unicorns.

  • let it be known...I was there...and I am searching youtube for songs from Gish...NOT Nevermind...(nevermind that album)---PS Loveless MBV....

  • I could watch the part where its just D'arcy playing the bass, 3.16 - 3.26 over and over again. Sounds so good. :)

  • Alice In Chains mothfckrs

  • +44 cover was pretty good also

  • i hate how the only thing people can do on pumpkins youtube vids is say things like "billy was so scrumptious with that hairrr!!!!!!!" and "billy your hair SO BEAUTIFUL XDDD"

there's more to the band than billy's hair changes through the years... open your mind and just LISTEN

  • best smashings album

it feels so authentic and sensitive

  • @hilliuno iit was raw and powerful

  • how can one enjoy music and pay attention to comments? def. not me SP you departed at the right time

  • billy had hair

  • damn, great album and they dont play a single song of it at their present concerts?wat a crap!

  • The 90s at its best...

  • GOOd

  • I love the Metro!

  • @gnarlywave

" Women in general, don't have the capacity to enjoy or understand music. "

HAHA, this doesn't even make me mad, wow.

  • @gnarlywave You spelled argument incorrectly, therefore, making everything you utter out your man-pleaser invalid.

I'll stop feeding the troll now.

  • @morbidlyxyours Yes, but you used the wrong version of "women".

...just thought I'd point it out.

  • @morbidlyxyours Unless you were referring to "woman" as the species/gender, in which case, disregard the last statement. I just realized that was possible. My mind is in low gear.

  • @Zeroaria

    Lol, indeed I am!

Not sure how you misinterpreted that :p

  • Comment removed

  • @gnarlywave

I never called myself a punk.

    So there goes that logic.

I'm not trying to impress anyone, I was making a point.

My ignorance? I would say that you making blanket comments about woman would illustrate your ignorance.

I didn't read that on anyone's myspace, I read it on biographies and interviews.

So, there you go, run along with your fail now.

  • @gnarlywave

    indeed?

    what am I posing as?

  • This is fucking great. I have just started listening to Gish as I wanna get into the Smashing Pumpkins, and my god what an album opener!

  • @vedderfan94 than you should check out siamese dream mellon collie and the infinite sadness and adore those are some awesome ones by them

  • ацтой, плююсь, хыыыыыыыырк......... тьфуууу.

  • @jtminutisme1 Best Album Evar. SP wise.

  • @jtminutisme1 NO! ;)

  • @skinfaan Gotcha, thanks man

  • Guitars successfully tickled to death.

  • Gish is the best album ever. A sonic triumph.

  • @fateagleaz You couldn't have put it better. This album is fucking brilliant

  • The first time I bought Gish, and I heard the amazing playing of these drums with the bass coming in, I though, "Damn... this is going to be an amazing album." I was wrong. It was the greatest album I've ever heard.

  • the awesome psychadelic mayhem known as gish

  • what year was? sorry for my english

  • @davagl 91

  • @davagl 1991

  • If only SP stayed as psychedelic as Gish.

  • SOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!

  • the days when they actually sounded good

  • @XxgrayfoxXXX i disagree, compared to most bands, they truly have no horrible song...

  • @Annas0614

    yes! that is a fact!

  • @Annas0614 they just have an "ugly" song lol

  • @Annas0614 arctic monkeys dont have any bad songs either

  • @mindingosafado Radiohead dont have any bad songs either

  • @timeoish dick head

  • @kevinmeehan71 lmao seriously fuck guns n roses.

  • Earily pumkins So Rocks

  • This is just fucking good music!!

  • Anybody remember Walt Mink? The only band from the day that could keep up with the Pumpkins.

  • @the1MemphisJones Hell Yea! I got one of their albums and they def rocked.

  • Omg, who do people fucking fight on the bloody internet for? It's a waste of time!

If people don't like the song ,then don't fucking search it up on YouTube.

  • @DSIXSIXSIX

i agree with you 100% i want bands like pearl jam alice in chains seether pantera nirvana sound graden all back i want my 90's back again

  • @metalheadkev10 than go build a time machine and relive your dad molesting you all over again while listening to dem bones asshole, move forwards dont regress the most important part of your life is coming up and you dont even know it because your looking back....

  • @clizzleable hey mr generic rock fan, i know u think shinedown and 3 days grace is the best thing ever since the beatles and led zep, but unless u can admit that there have been nothing good from the music industry since the 90's alt rock phenomenon, then please quit searching youtube to explore songs from the album gish. Because by doing so u either know i'm right, or u r just a complete generic rock tool. I'm gonna go with the ladder

  • @dules119 where does the ladder lead to? Space? or was it a misspelling? I'm gonna go with the LATTER.

  • @DmPFtW u witty SOB! no they're headin down the rungs lol! once again proof of what genre of fans pays attention to LYRICS! lol!

  • @dules119 I'm just a grammar nazi. :)

  • @DmPFtW

haha, I was totally going to correct that.

  • @dules119 latter*

  • @dules119 it's so ignorant to say there's been nothing good that's come out of the music industry.

There's been a ton of amazing, creative artists that have stepped into the scene.

What you mean is that the industry standards to be mainstream is just so strict and cautious of mistakes.

The world is so terrified of losing money, we make up all these ridiculous outlines that make getting your good music out there incredibly difficult and limiting.

Spend more time in the indie section, solutions!

  • @dules119 your rant is pathetic, and its latter not ladder you tool

  • @dules119 man, you are such a dumbshit

    and i love alternative rock

  • @dules119

what about tool, nine inch nails, johnny hobo and the freight trains, or aus rotten?

    Every decade has great music.

But every decade has mostly shitty music.

  • @blindlemonlipshitz Tool! Good choice Sir!

  • @blindlemonlipshitz you just have to sift through all the shit to find the gems

  • @dules119 haha, you spelled "latter" wrong.

  • @dules119 i think you mean latter

  • @clizzleable @dules119 Hey,with ya as a poor old timer 35 ..@clitszlag... or whateva the fuNk..

Pull your head in or what not,and get over your dad molesting you.Grab a guitar, learn to play it,and do something constuctive instead of criticising people you narrow minded soul...Maybe you should continue to listen to "Confederacy of Dunces" sounds applicable..

  • 666 coments haha lol i love 90s music in 90s was great

  • 16 People forgot what good music is. Probably Nickelback/Hinder fans.

  • @hansaru lick a dick and listen to The confederacy of Dunces, they murder any other sound out there, kid.

  • @clizzleable hey douchebag, no intelligent person likes your shit music..fuck off

  • @hansaru nah dude, 16 ppl are F'in panic in the disco (restroom) fans and flippin' chessey Green Day fans...hahah

  • @Annas0614 Hahahaha or Beiber fans.

  • @Annas0614 no man don't mess with green day I'm a fan of GD and of SP both, guessing you mean cheesy when talking about their latest album, that, yeah, was kinda cheesy. I like better the GD from the 90's.

  • @GalGx007 GD = homo punk ..Sorry... Punk died with the pistols

  • @goladen Punk is a state of mind, idiot, not a music selection

  • @jtminutisme1 Yeah and you are like 12... piss off

  • @goladen I'm 41, and if you wish to meet, and make me piss off, then get real, and bring it

  • @jtminutisme1 haha ok tuff guy

  • @goladen

    LMFAO.

The Sex Pistols were brought together by a record company.

Sid Vicious didn't even know bass till he was brought on.

    stfu

  • @morbidlyxyours Wow? Really ? Well you are just so fuckin punk! What are you like 10? Your make up looks retarded why don't you stfu! Little asshat

  • @goladen.

Why am I punk? Because I know what I'm talking about?

    hokay

  • @morbidlyxyours Not really, but if "YOU "say so, thats all that matters right?

  • @goladen

Read up about Sid Vicious some, or interviews from the other band members about him, or even the history of the sex pistols. I LIKE the sex pistols, but what they were founded on was not punk.

  • @goladen Dude what do you know .... punk is still alive today. Leftover Crack, Star Fucking Hipsters, The Unseen, The Casualties, The Death Set...

  • @Gamagachee I actually listened to what you had to offer as far as "punk is still alive"!!! Yeah, I say it's dead, those band's are cheap imposter's of what was... Just my opinion

  • @Gamagachee OMG left over crack is like sublime beat with a fuckin retard for a singer and horrible song writer sorry dude... epic fail imo

  • @goladen Yep. And that my friend is how a punk band should sound like ... and that's an epic win.

  • @hansaru I like Nickelback as well as SP. I like a lot of stuff. Liking one type of music doesn't mean you have to hate something else.

  • @hansaru hinder is so gonna beat ur ass.

  • @hansaru

At least 45 315 of us still remember.

  • Took a while but great song.

The thing with the smashing pumpkins is that it takes a while but it's definitely worth it.

  • Gosh, Billy was so handsome back in the nineties. Billy was handsome, D'Arcy and James were lovers, and Jimmy... uh, I dunno what to say about him... EXCEPT HIS HAIR WAS LONG!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • this does not get old

  • You know, as much as I love the 90s, it would be nice to watch a single Pumpkins video where we don't see somebody rambling the same cut 'n' paste story about how the 90's were the best decade ever.

  • whoever disliked this video is a fucking dumbass

  • Freaking AWSOME!!!!!

  • Jimmy Chamberlin is a bad ass motherf*cker!.

  • Sino es el mejor, uno de los mejores videos de Smashing Pumpkins

  • @elguachon8297 damn not here man

  • @elguachon8297 Obvious troll is obvious.

  • @elguachon8297 i think this kid should be taking out the back and raped then shot ricky t mother

  • are you a female and hot sure if your some douchebag dude no i would not like to fuck you

  • @DSIXSIXSIX yessssssssssss

  • LETS ALL HELL AT EACH OTHER IN CAPS CAUSE ITS COOL. chill out and enjoy the pumpkins losers

  • Ahh, the old Chicago Metro, still one of the greatest venues to see bands play in.
