its so funny when people say they will get tracked and prosecuted.well id like to see that happen lol.most of these are done by people out of country which makes it next to impossible to prosecute.i have over 22000 sales on ebay and over 2000 buys, nad got raped a few times ebay did noting but close there account and paypal frose there accounts.sounds good but it does nothing when its a dummy front lol ebay is great but there security is pretty null
Yes,it is pretty much a well known fact that ebay security leaves much to be desired. The fact is that if anyone wants to sign up dozens of accounts to wreak havoc on the site by whatever method, eg; slamming sellers with negs even though they were NPB, there is nothing to stop them.
Also many reports of foot dragging when the real authorities try to become involved.
eb 'security' is a complete and utter failure & joke on many levels.
Yes, people can get hacked that way, through MITM, hosts etc, but that is not the case here. Thousands saw this occur, and it was reported & observed widely, in places like the ebay de forums. If you follow the link in (more info) there are screencaps documenting much much more of the nu.dau.combinatia and jack.milo.21 event.
I see a comment below where someone also states it could simply be (my) browser side only. Again, not the case.
Regardless, if this user doesn't have access to the systems that govern security for Ebay, or he didn't cover his tracks by anonymous proxy or some other means, he will be pursued if moneys or items were misplaced. Programming today is so sloppy, that it's of great ease to find and exploit vulnerabilities such as the one performed here. Although, the best vulnerabilities are exploited using a command prompt in my opinion.
All I know for sure, seeing this video, is that there IS a script vulnerability in the sites that are being viewed/modified. The person performing these actions is exploiting a vulnerability that allows updating of listed items to other accounts. Whether or not this is genuinely editing the user item database for Ebay is still to be determined. It may just be visually updating on the client side in the browser. A cache error of sorts possibly. continued ..

Hello javieruriel.
Sorry for the delay answering. Your question notification was buried under emails. Never saw this til today.
I can't really answer that question. If you are asking whether I hacked this, the answer is no.
Thanks for asking, & subscribing. :)

Hello TheSmeep.
This video shows a hack attack upon ebay.
Please read the description, maybe follow a link or two.
ebay is hacked. The hackers own IT.
Use the site at your own peril.

What I mean is all the video seems to show is someone browsing listings on eBay.
Meh, I'm not bothered anyway.
