  • Kifflom!

  • We play a song called Dragnet at my school to. We have our own verson

    though

  • i'm a big fan of dragnet movies or shows

  • i had a 78rpm of dragnet but it was also telling a story in a comedy style with music in back ground...does any one know who produced it,the artist and title. think it was a double sided 78 of dragnet from the original american tv or radio series

  • @markjgoffin Stan Freberg did several parodies of Dragnet (Dragonnet, Christmas Dragnet).

  • some one needs to do a modern remix of this could be a banger in the club

  • Aaah! - Found my new Ring tone

  • A very funny take on the 1960's TV show.

  • Dan Aykroyd did a good job as Agent Friday

  • @geomodelrailroader He was exactly the one actor who could pull it off!

  • @silicon212 LOL

  • @silicon212 LOL

  • nardwuar and lil wayne sent me here.

  • @geomodelrailroader I'd have to completely agree, the casting for this film was unbelievable...Turner & Hooch Era Tom Hanks was the perfect actor to portrait Joe Friday's youthful miss-matching partner...if it was Tom Hanks any time past Forest Gump, then they would've been better off casting someone like Better Off Dead Era John Cusack or Caddyshack 2 era Johnathan Silverman. & the ending the scene where Joe Friday pulls up along-side the Rev's Private Jet in an F4 Phantom = Ultimate Vengeance!

  • @IMaDEM0N LOL Dan Aykroyd did a good job

  • Love this opening

  • I always enjoy the opening in Honor & Memory of the Late Jack Webb ( April 2, 1920 - December 23, 1982 ) ~ R.I.P. LAPD Badge 714

  • The number at Dragnet Badge @1:01 is very interesting combined with Dragnet the movie (I do know it is the area code.) It is also provided the Chapter & line the describe the whereabouts of Satan; both at Q 7:14 and Q 71:4.

  • Great series, bad movie, terrific theme...

  • Everybody knows this song, but one couldn't tell me it was this until I found the enlighted one

  • Tum te tum tum TUMS

  • ...Donkey Kong?

  • Lol, I love how tacky that badge looks.... It looks just like a plastic tiny bade which they sprayed with a glossy finish ^^

Considering the ammount of extreme close ups of it, it does look very imperfect and shoddy ^^

Surley not better to build a huge metalic one which would have had a much smoother finish and clean look to it up against the extreme scrutiny of the close-ups? :p

  • @legmog This is what the real deal look like up close. Besides, perfection is imperfection.

  • Is this the original Ray Anthony version?

  • Does anyone know where one could find the OST for the background musical tracks in this film? I LOVE the music when they have the car chase with Munz along the beach. Really great 80's guitar action music, I would love to be able to listen to it again lol

  • This movie was awesome. Kuddos to mom and dad for being cool and showing me such great films lol

  • This movie has such an awesome soundtrack

  • @roguetrip99 You are right, it does. I started off being a cop shortly before the movie came out. My partern and I used to play the cassette tape (yep, I'm old) all the time while on patrol.

We would even, put the PA mike right up to the speaker and play the Da Da Da bit when we would top a hill, as in busting up some party out in the woods with the underage types having their beer....ahh, good times.

  • @TiminPhoenix I know it's been 11 months since you posted your comment but just gotta say: HOW FUNNY!! LMFOA!

Anyone know where to find the extended play of this song? I remember this song kickin some major a__ in the night clubs back in the day. Always.loved dancin' to this one!

  • @jhchouston You are right. This song had that little extra to it. We also would play Glenn Fry's "You belong to the City, You belong to the night" while on patrol. Now remember, we were not wearing Pastels in some large metro busting drug dealers. We were cops, mainly in a rural area, busting DUIs, Domestics, and all that...but the soundtrack of Miami Vice still worked for us doofuses.. :)

  • @TiminPhoenix HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! - Miami Vice Now that really is funny! I can't help but think these are tactics that would be used by "the few and the brave" on Reno 911. LOL!

  • @jhchouston Real police work is a lot closer to Reno 911, than the public would EVER want to know. lol

  • This film was miles better than Starsky and Hutch with Stiller and Wilson.

  • The 1950s show was so much better.

  • @MrJackDamon

    there both amazing...

  • Huzzah! Love this movie!

  • love it, the movie rocks, 80s rock xD

  • The original notes would make a cool cell phone ring.

  • The part when he says "DRAGNET!" freaking rules.

  • @SergeantLuke i second that

  • I wonder who made the badge for this opening. Very beautiful.

  • looks like a solid gold variant of the standard Smith & Wesson LAPD sheild, normally silve and gold in color.

  • @pumpkinheadedsob- I think you mean Smith & Warren, The model number for that is M263.

  • I really like this movie, Aykroyd was brilliant and Hanks played the goofy sidekick well

  • and who can forget Harry Morgan

  • If someone could rip this into an MP3 file for me i would be so greatful....

  • In the movie you have the same 714 adding up to 12, as well as 5 arches on building and three windowed arch in center behind the 5 arches...

  • Just what are you trying to say here? ;)

  • @silicon212 nothing too much, just taking note at numeral oddities...

  • @silicon212 He's impersonating Dan Aykroyd's character in the movie, analytical as hell!:D

  • I love this version of the song, so annoying when movie scores/tracks aren't released.

I heard the album version first during my 'omg must get as much AoN as possible' stage then got the movie to see what it was like. I was pleasantly surprised when this rather different but awesome version began.

The rest of the film is decent but fails to live up to the great intro.

  • That theme song makes me piss myself laughing for some reason.

  • Just the facts, maam. Just the facts, maam, ju-ju-ju-ju-ju...

It has the same effect on me!

  • same here. i have NO idea why it makes me laugh!

  • I just get goosebumps listening to this. Great song and movie.

  • Best cop movie I've ever seen, and I don't normally like cop movies (even the comedies).

  • Do you happen to know what version of the song this is? I'm thinking it's the "Arthur Baker 7" Mix," but that's because it's the only one I don't have.

  • This version was only in the movie unfortunately. The Arthur Baker mix is closer to the 'Dragnet '88' mix from the blue Best Of album.

  • Thanks for posting this version of the opening.

  • i dont know this movie but good video gary! love yooouuu uncleee gaarryyy

  • Good evening kiddo!
