i had a 78rpm of dragnet but it was also telling a story in a comedy style with music in back ground...does any one know who produced it,the artist and title. think it was a double sided 78 of dragnet from the original american tv or radio series
@geomodelrailroader I'd have to completely agree, the casting for this film was unbelievable...Turner & Hooch Era Tom Hanks was the perfect actor to portrait Joe Friday's youthful miss-matching partner...if it was Tom Hanks any time past Forest Gump, then they would've been better off casting someone like Better Off Dead Era John Cusack or Caddyshack 2 era Johnathan Silverman. & the ending the scene where Joe Friday pulls up along-side the Rev's Private Jet in an F4 Phantom = Ultimate Vengeance!
The number at Dragnet Badge @1:01 is very interesting combined with Dragnet the movie (I do know it is the area code.) It is also provided the Chapter & line the describe the whereabouts of Satan; both at Q 7:14 and Q 71:4.
Lol, I love how tacky that badge looks.... It looks just like a plastic tiny bade which they sprayed with a glossy finish ^^
Considering the ammount of extreme close ups of it, it does look very imperfect and shoddy ^^
Surley not better to build a huge metalic one which would have had a much smoother finish and clean look to it up against the extreme scrutiny of the close-ups? :p
Does anyone know where one could find the OST for the background musical tracks in this film? I LOVE the music when they have the car chase with Munz along the beach. Really great 80's guitar action music, I would love to be able to listen to it again lol
@roguetrip99 You are right, it does. I started off being a cop shortly before the movie came out. My partern and I used to play the cassette tape (yep, I'm old) all the time while on patrol.
We would even, put the PA mike right up to the speaker and play the Da Da Da bit when we would top a hill, as in busting up some party out in the woods with the underage types having their beer....ahh, good times.
@TiminPhoenix I know it's been 11 months since you posted your comment but just gotta say: HOW FUNNY!! LMFOA!
Anyone know where to find the extended play of this song? I remember this song kickin some major a__ in the night clubs back in the day. Always.loved dancin' to this one!
@jhchouston You are right. This song had that little extra to it. We also would play Glenn Fry's "You belong to the City, You belong to the night" while on patrol. Now remember, we were not wearing Pastels in some large metro busting drug dealers. We were cops, mainly in a rural area, busting DUIs, Domestics, and all that...but the soundtrack of Miami Vice still worked for us doofuses.. :)
@TiminPhoenix HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! - Miami Vice Now that really is funny! I can't help but think these are tactics that would be used by "the few and the brave" on Reno 911. LOL!
I love this version of the song, so annoying when movie scores/tracks aren't released.
I heard the album version first during my 'omg must get as much AoN as possible' stage then got the movie to see what it was like. I was pleasantly surprised when this rather different but awesome version began.
The rest of the film is decent but fails to live up to the great intro.
Do you happen to know what version of the song this is? I'm thinking it's the "Arthur Baker 7" Mix," but that's because it's the only one I don't have.

looks like a solid gold variant of the standard Smith & Wesson LAPD sheild, normally silve and gold in color.

In the movie you have the same 714 adding up to 12, as well as 5 arches on building and three windowed arch in center behind the 5 arches...

This version was only in the movie unfortunately. The Arthur Baker mix is closer to the 'Dragnet '88' mix from the blue Best Of album.
