  • I could not believe this was The Osmonds doing this song, I always pictured a lesser known hard rock band doing this song, I never really liked The Osmonds but always loved this song a lot, I can picture ZZ Top, Steppenwolf or BTO doing this song.

  • toute mon enfance

  • Its a style very similar to Aerosmith in a couple of ways

  • The Osmonds meet Sweet?

  • Favorite Osmonds song. They should have done more stuff like this.

  • Demented Are Go does a waaay better version

  • The Osmonds at their funkiest!

  • What's this song about?

  • @TexasTina Horses... Crazy ones. I think it was just the Osmonds rocking out :)

  • @fundude365 Cars!

  • @TexasTina It's about the pollution caused by the cars, 'what a show there they go, SMOKING UP THE SKY, yeah.

  • Had no idea the Osmonds could rock like this.

  • @TSconspiracy That's what I like about this song. It's not like they went "hey gang, let's try our hand at getting a little heavy, to see if we can pull it off!"

No, it's like on day one of them walked in going "guys, it's time to rock the fuck out. Turn it up to 11, let's do this."

  • Judas who?

  • Are they singing about cars?????

  • @KiteSwift yes indeed.

  • finally this cheesy fanily have discovered the power of glam rock and did a one good strong song

  • They all look exactly alike but with different hair!

  • For people who weren't around in the early 1970s when this song was recorded - this was the first time the general population first really got worried about environmental damage. (The first Earth Day happened in 1970).

This song is part of that concern, about the amount of pollution caused by cars. In fact I now remember that the album cover showed the Osmonds in a junkyard with piles of cars behind them.

  • This is for Kevin820:"Hey Mr Taxi" is on the Album/Cassette/CD titled, "The Plan".

It's a concept project reminiscent of the Beatles "Abbey Road".

  • I was watching Top of the Pops. The Story of 1976. It mentioned all the artists who 15 minutes of fame.

  • Its actually about pollution thats funny

  • Osmonds have a stigma of being lightweight, but this is pretty heavy stuff.
