um dogs don't like doors make a dog door by making a 2 x 1 hole and make a piston dig 1 block under the hole place the piston above your had then place get a button or leaver next to it and get out of the hole fill the block under the piston leaving room for ti to close.

A little advice for you: Just keep walking. I was boating in minecraft today exploring, And as I was boating, I saw a wolf in the distance on a sandy shore. I left not knowing what 2 do since the sun was setting, and 2 wolves spawned on my farm, and killed all my sheep the next day. (Wolves kill sheep, but the wool is dropped, I dont really care) I had enough bones to tame 1. I hoped it could swim, so I swam a short distance into my dugout home and... My tamed wolf teleported right next 2 me!

Also, when you hit them after you tame them, they get hurt, make a yelping sound, and make you feel /REALLY/ guilty. I know, I've done it on accident several times. ;_; I'm a bad pack leader.

@Ittybritty196 everytime my wolf falls off a cliff or gets hurt i cringe and once i tried to burie it underground for safe keeping and i placed sand ontop of the hole and i just freaked out at it whimpering as it got crushed....

The tail represents its health, the lower the tail, the less health it has. To feed it you right click with food. if it's healthy, it'll simply sit down and not eat the food while you eat it. You can make it sit by right clicking with anything.

Wolves will keep following you, unless you command them to stay. Wolves will not go away and sit there till you tell them to get up. They won't despawn once tamed.

@AngryNinja42x7, get him a pen or a room to himself, then just make him sit, and close the door. He won't likely teleport to you.

and they can only fit though a dubble dore and i think the bone number is 1 to 10.

To let you know, it's a bug right now. Wolves will NOT go through doors. Hopefully notch will fix it.

A better idea is a dog door.

It's basically a little hole next to the door.

Since the dog is 1 block tall, he will go through it. :D

But, if you do it, spiders might be a problem :/

I suggest it for big, highly protected houses. :o

I've had my wolf go through one door! Oh and the door takes up space, so its harder to get in!
