@foxxrider250r my tune spikes around 30psi and tapers off till redline. the spike gives me gobs of torque and it tapers off so my engine and turbo dont pop.
The stock 5.0's are fast my friend has one, but the weight isn't that great, it takes a lot to roll the new stangs down the road cause they aren't as small as they used to be. Even my friend got beat by a 2009 cobalt ss stock, and he knows how to drive. It's just that seems like Chevrolet has something they don't.......POWER.
@Dart00Z im not gonna take anything from you it was a good run for you but its just hard to believe without being there to see both cars in person. i have 3 friends with new 5.0s and they all ran 12.4-12.70 bone stock! jays car was in 5.0 magizine for runnin 12.0 with a cold air intake and tune on street tires at 116mph. anythings possible on the street and turbo bolts are quick from a roll. i honestly dont think the guy can drive the car no disrespect. and i am one of those AWD(tbss)guys. lol
@BLACKLACDTS I also beat an ls3 vette from a roll. I know what u mean about bad drivers but my cars just pretty fast. My cobalt is tuned by pretty much the best around and I've beaten many other cobalts by a good margin. Just check my vids.
@Dart00Z i am goin to be 100% honest and say i cant believe that was a ls3 vette. ls3 vettes run 11s @ almost 120mph and im sure your car dont trap 120mph. im not being a dick im just stating what i have seen from my own experieces.
@BLACKLACDTS just watch the video of the dig race between me and the vette (he wins the dig obviously) and pay close attention to his wheels. it is indeed an ls3 vette. i have also beat an ls2 c6 with a borla catback but i dont have a video of that.
and before u say it, i know the guy in the vette couldnt launch the thing. lol. but he was chirping tires so the 40 roll was a clean run.
@Dart00Z ok my friend hear me out. the dig run the vette was steady pullin on you top end not by alot but he was so how can you pull him from a roll? it seemed you took off before the vette. anyway its damn impressive what your doin with the car. where you from?
@BLACKLACDTS well we did a 40 roll which is pretty much my sweet spot. my car makes around 400-420 tq and only weighs 2900 pounds. the reason for so much torque is because of how fast my turbo spools and my tune, so when i floor it at 40mph all that torque hits damn near instantly. almost every race i have ill instantly pull a car then they have to play catch up if theyre faster. and the dig race has me spinning till about 60mph so the vette had the advantage big time.
@Dart00Z well a ls3 c6 vette is about 3300lbs with about 395hp and torque at the wheels.. i wish we were closeer. i am in maryland. we have a street racing club here and there is a fast turbolt here as well as long as srt4's and ms3s but there is also a good bit of vettes here and im sure any of them would give you a try from a roll or dig. its just hard for me to believe anything over the internet. like i said no matter what you still got that lil car moving. any times?
@BLACKLACDTS well as it turns out im actually in dover DE visinting my family for christmas. i dont have any clean times. i went to the track and my pressure plate ended up malfunctioning so i ran a best of 13.3 @ 105. couldnt get it into 4th gear at all. lol.
and running would be fun. id be at a disadvantage tho as im tuned on 91 octane and all you guys have 93 available to you.
@QuickStang5o havnt been to the track on this set up. i went to the track about 5 months ago and i had only a 20psi conservative tune with stock tires and bad driver mod (im a lot better now) and trapped 109. right now i should be making over 400 tq and im going to the track next sunday for import face off.
idk how much power im making but if i had to estimate, i should be sitting aroud 320-330whp and 400tq. car weighs less than 3000 with me in it and gas.

on a serious note tho we both agreed to race and got on the highway to do so. this was during the 2011 mustang/fbody meet in kansas city. my cars just faster.
@yumadbr0 its a 6 speed. either way the 6 speed and auto are right on par with each other so it wouldnt make a diffrence from a performance stand point.
@terrabit2001 well I did ask him to run and we did go out pf our way to get on the highway, and there was 3 honks. But maybe he was just cruising at 40mph on the freeway for no reason.

@QuickStang5o a stock ls3 c6 is faster than a 5.0. And my mods are full y
turbo back exhaust, intake, trans mounts, and aggressive tune that spikes 30 psi.
A c6 makes like 370-390 rwhp stock and weighs 400-500 pounds less than a 5.0.
