drugs harsh effects are measured on a scale called an LD50 cannabis is near the bottom obv illeagal . alcohol , nicotine , caffein , paracetamal , methadome . are near the top of the scale obv leagal substances . weed being the biggest cash crop would put other drug companies out of buisness or steal alot of it away . so they fund the government powers to keep cannabis illeagal . I used to work out at a gym that Montel was a member of. He's a great guy. Just like at the end of that video. I knew he worked out there and didn't want to bother him when he was working out but he was outgoing and genuine.

And strong, the man could bench press some weight. Much more than me and I was a pretty good college wrestler at that time.

As stated, this is not due to overwhelming scientific proof of medical marijuana efficacy or compassion for people that gain relief from this medicine but that "it could provide states with a much needed tax windfall.

Most likely, without knowing it, she points out that money is what truly drives government policy on marijuana, not science.

She opens the interview saying "pushed for the RIGHT TO GET HIGH to alleviate pain and spurn apatite". I am NOT using cannabis for the purpose of getting high. It happens yes but I use it because it helps alleviate the symptoms of my medical condition through its unique chemical structure. As a mater of fact I receive a minimal euphoric effect from cannabis. I have taken pharmaceuticals that where more intoxicating.

You're so right. I was waiting for Montel or Rob to correct her. Why did the correction never come? And isn't it ironic that this discussion took place in a booze joint?! And even you are ironic, Racer, equating "getting high", with getting "intoxicated". Intoxicated means poisoned, like what you get when you drink booze. The natural, God-given herb, marijuana, is purely healthy, unlike booze & pharmaceuticals.

Good call on my mistake of equating "getting high" with "intoxication". Although I know the difference between the two I have, in the past, used the word "intoxicated" to describe an altered state of mind which is not an accurate use of that word. Of course cannabis is non-toxic thus can not intoxicate.

Although however improper my comparison of "getting high" to "intoxication" was, the sentence "I have taken pharmaceuticals that where more intoxicating." is coincidentally true. :)

Just as they said; Medical marijuana is supported by the 2nd largest doctor's group (124,000 strong) in the USA. There are many other health care groups, scientists and law enforcement groups that also endorse medical marijuana
