I do not think that Dr. Murray was a "hired assassin." But I do believe that the ppl surrounding were very much aware that MJ had a dependency on drugs and neglected to do anything about it. When MJ "passed" his physical I am sure that the issue of his drug dependency was brought up but ignored. They only cared about his money and how they could further gain from MJ by destroying him. Sorry for the "type O's", it's late, but Murray didnt stand to gain anything in my opinion for having a motive to murder MJ. If anything he is far worse off, as he faces foreclosure, etc, and his attorney stated that this pending case against him has disabled him from making money.

Murray was depending on this job to cover all the debt that he has acquired, and was desperate and would've give MJ anything to keep his job, as it was said that when people told MJ "NO", that he would fire them.
