Ok ....your spirit sucks!....hehe I have to stop watching your Christmas videos...my tree is up and it is somewhat decorated but all the other stuff is still in the boxes sittin in the middle of the living room floor!!! GERRRRR I just cant seem to find Christmas. I'm gettin worried...Not to mention I have been cryin everyday. I guess my Christmas can be called the 12 break downs before Christmas! Its funny the day after Christmas I will be just fine...go figure!
@DawndeeDALLAS Our tree is only half fluffed out and not decorated at all! It's been up for a week or more! lol No worries, I'm done with the Christmas spirit. . .I was trying to find that holiday joy, but it's not coming out of the closest!. . .Like you, after the season, I'm back to my "normal" everyday anxiety and fear. :) -Steve-

Im being honest, the first thing I say when I wake up is "Happy Birthday Jesus" because I believe its the day that all powers being agreed to have his BD. Then I have coffee alone and think of my Mom and how hard every year of her life she worked to make us the biggest and best Christmas each and every year. then I remember telling her "I dont know WHY Santa fills my stocking with fruit and nuts especially since Ive asked him NOT TO! So yeah I got some shit for Christmas LOL
@GMPNY You know me. . .I think religion should be taken out of Christmas! haha When I was a kid, my mother used to make our experience really good too. The gifts I hated the most were socks and underwear! I wanted toys, damn it!!! The stocking was fun because my mom would wrap every little thing separately. . . .she even wrapped an orange one year! -Steve-
@OceanTownPictures Did you SEE last years Christmas videos? My grandchildrens gifts start at the front door to the dining room to the family room. Its so annoying (almost) to wait for it to end when I show up there to open gifts at 7:30 am and the kids are still opening stuff til noon! Thats just the presents from their parents, not other relatives. The other relatives dont bother with gifts just about, they send gift cards to stores they know the kids like to shop in. Its fun, just long!
I have to say though, My kids DO adopt a couple of families every year and supply everything you need to have a meal and several presents for everyone in the home they live in. The adults in the homes say "Please, just do the kids." Uh huh, my daughter would NEVER do just the kids gifts, everyone has to get a couple of gifts & the kids get everything they ask for. Surprisingly they usually only ask for one or two things so that tells me Christmas Past had to really suck!
At first I didn't understand the office shit but then thought of all the crap my roommate has brought home from work either from their exchange or people just handing shit out.
@Myk63 When I worked in an office, I received the most useless of gifts. haha Probably because many co-workers don't know each other on a personal level so it's harder to match the gift with the personality. In truth, I'd much rather receive a big hug from people and a heartfelt greeting instead of a gift. . .However, I'm not going to turn down that bottle champagne! -Steve-
I loathe Xmas...sorry....always have...I am Mrs Scrooge...and happy with it...last year I was in portugal...with a friend... ate vegetarian with him..and then filmed him singing...perfect...(his partner arrived some days later )
@xyzllii I'm not a big fan of Christmas either. It's the wasteful spending that seems pointless to me. However, some say, because of the spending it helps keep the economy floating. Mostly, I don't like being told to "spend money" or feel obligated to give something to people. I'd much rather stretch my "giving" throughout the year. -Steve-
unfortunately xmas tends to turn in to a big stress out time for a lot of people what with presents and emptying out of wallets and all such but I tend to forget about it till the last minute you know like the crowded bustling malls with xmas music in your face encourageing you to spend spend spend and we realy do get quite hypnotised realy dont we. Oh bless us darlin and bless our stressed out little hearts lol merry xmas
@77nova454 The money people spend during the holidays is crazy!! A better gift for people would be. . . pay their power bill, or get an oil change for their car etc. haha Something useable at least.
