Bruce has always had a "rough" voice but man it so works for him!!! I can tell you as a former Jersey Rocker that opera and sweet voices do not make it in Asbury..hehehe
The Boss, a political idiot???? This is the guy who wrote "Born in the USA," and you're trying to say he's politically incompetent? You, sir, are fucking stupid.
Is it just me (my kid noticed this first) or does this sound a lot like Tommy Tutone 867-5309 (Jenny Jenny)? Regardless, this is a great song! This band is too old to rock this hard.
good call, i thought the same thing about the bassline. I also think this song is the first from bruce in over twenty years to recapture the spirit of his best stuff.
This man is amazing. All these years, all this great music for people of ALL ages and musical tastes (I'm 66) and he's still in there, eager and supercharged as ever.

Once a decent songwriter, way back in the 1970s. He's been a fake "man of the working people" for decades now and the act is so stale it's pathetic.
I don't think he's a political idiot. I think he's a treasonous coward who pretended (?) to be gay to get out of the Vietnam war.

the live voice of most artists is a "little off" no big deal. His voice is better overall than it ever was.

His voice is not quite there, no doubt due to lack of using it. It will get back, he knows what he's doing

I love Bruce, seriously. I am stoked for this new album...But anyone think his voice on this particualar live version is a little....off?

I see where you're coming from, but if anything the voice he used in the recorded version is a bit off.
that's his usual live voice.
