The reason people say "hip hop is dead" is because IMHO the new rappers today seem to be more like gimmicks than artists. There is no "feeling" in the music now, it's all about who can spend what on what. It's a shame that now more rappers are more concerned about the dance that goes with the song instead of the song itself.
