Its funny, in the movie she says "Get the Flute". But this is the first time anyones played Super Mario Bros. 3 in the movie so how could she know where the flute was?? I caught that mistake when I first watched this movie in 1990.

Actually that song was by Real Life but that its okay you have mistaken them for Pet Shop Boys. The lead singer looks like a clone of Neil Tenant from Pet Shop Boys.

I saw this film in the theatre when I was about 7. I remember being in shock when Super Mario Bros 3 was debuted towards the end. Awesome song, totally underrated, both the movie and Paul Carrack.
