  • Is no1 gonna fight back?

  • I love this song so much, The king blues have inspire me so much and my music. I recently started a new band and it amazing if you could go and check it out on our channel! King Blues are the most underrated band :)

  • I absolutely love this band!!! only band nowadays with anything to say! I don't even see The Sex Pistols as a Punk band anymore now that Johnny has sold out and started doing adverts, Itch and the band can see the truth and the have but one goal! Change!

  • @KTFNDoctorHyrule Johnny KIND off sold out. He is still having his punk attitude and he is really wice so he still got my respect.

  • The King Blues are grand and all but Nirvana are my favourite band. They could've picked a more suitable band to shit on. Like, I don't know.. The Sex Pistols.

  • if there was no sex pistols or ramones there would be no Nirvana for the kids to listen to.

  • @molloyzer1 Yeah, thats what i was thinking.

  • VIVA LA PUNK, JUST ONE LIFE, ANARCHY!

  • this is a great song, but I think the lyrics get a bit too much. A lot of the words in this song are contradictary. my two cents.

  • Hold on, he describes a world where police and the elite keep everyone down and not free where all people do is work and sleep; but he says that everyone is at home getting stoned.

Ignoring that, I guess it's not like the hippies organised any kind of rally, event or protest... oh wait.

  • Wish The Sex Pistols had been mentioned :/ ah well...

Punk Rock Has The Power To Change The World, It Lies In Every Single Punk Rock Boy And Girl So Don't Let Anyone Tell You You're Not Worth The Earth!

  • @teenagers0london0 The Sex Pistols were mentioned.. at the beginning of the song he says "Green Day and The Pistols, well they never heard either"

  • @pumpkill I'm going to listen again now!

  • Has nobody noticed that punk did happen, and what he's describing is happening anyway? :p Just a small observation

  • @ResponsibleSnowflake Yep but its up to us to change it!

  • @ResponsibleSnowflake Yeah it is... Sad isn't it?

  • This song brings tears to my eyes.

  • wow

  • Inspiring!

  • Life-changing...

  • the sad thing is that alot of the people who listen to this probably havent heard of the bands mentioned...

  • @Crocadilepunch I have heard and i listen to most of the band they mentiond.. but why in the world does that matter?

  • i see them in roundhouse omg the response to this songg... it was beautiful.

  • i dont want advertisements on what if punk neaver happend youtube...

  • fail for enabling ads ;/

  • VIVA LA PUNK, JUST ONE LIFE, ANARCHY!!!!!!! I think I just cried...

  • @AcousticGeorge you should hear it live it is insparing

  • This song is my bible... But I have to be advertised to, to see what I love, it's not even like TKB get the adverts money, it's just some capitalist twat after the cash for nothing,,, that culture will kill us all

  • this.. This actually touched me

  • and the point im making is that in the videos of the king blues they make out as if the hippies were just being lazy, and that it took the punks to bump start the fight against the government. Well i call bullcrap on that. As i said, if the punks were so "dangerous" how come the government they hated so much and fought against so much didnt give a crap about them. They knew they weren't a threat. Whereas they were so worried about the 60s people, they assassinated the main icons to sabotage it.

  • @brieflycake actually local governments took charge. the police would start riots, shut down shows, when the venue had the proper license. In the USA it was basically an unwritten law making punk illigal to play

  • @TheWOParmy Thats not as bad as what was done to the hippies. Hippy buses were smashed up and pregnant women dragged out and beaten with batons till they bled, while children looked on crying. If the punks were so great, then answer me this, which was the better world to live in, pre punk or post punk? Exactly.

  • @brieflycake im not saying either is better or worse, they both sucked, and still, in my town the police used to attack punks on the streets, they would attack protesters, they put 4 venues out of business and put 6 bands away for 20 years, at one show a pregnant woman with disability sitting at the bar was pepper sprayed the police, its just as bad

  • @TheWOParmy Im certain if u asked some1 who had lived through both, they would say the 60s was a better time to live in. Why did the punks hate the hippies? The hippies were on the same side as the punks, but guess what, the punks focused their hatred on the hippies. And what is the age old way of destroying your enemy? Divide and conquer. They used the punks as a way of destroying the real movement. Therefore the punks did the bidding of the Gov, without the government having to fire a bullet.

  • @brieflycake Surley it's much, the mods/ rockers... Chav/emo mentality,,, all solidarities are there to hate,,, punk just had to be the figure to hate the monist

  • @Babybirdboyo yeah, but in the 60s people progressed past the hate and united as hippies. Very, very few mods/rockers existed after hippies started coming about. People had already seen that hate was the wrong way to go. The 60s was the greatest time for humanity ever and that is no exaggeration (and yes im sure you will find some miserable git somewhere who say they didnt enjoy the sixties, but im talking generally).

  • @brieflycake You do know the Vietnam war was in the 60s? Not to mention that the Cold War was in full swing at that time along with the fear of nuclear annhilation. So I'm guessing that 1. It was not the greatest time for humanity. 2. There is more than one miserable git who didn't enjoy the 60s.

Btw this song is seriously inspiring :D

  • @okiisama Its true that the Vietnam war and the Cold war were going on. but when i say the best time for humanity, i mean the ordinary people. Its not as if everyone was quaking with fear everyday because of the nuke, they just got on with life. I can assure you that people were happier in the 60s than after the 70s. If the punks were so significant and important, how come we have seen 0 improvement in the world after them? and infact seen the world get worse and worse?

  • @brieflycake I wasn't around in the 60s or 70s to be honest so I wouldn't know whether it actually was better. The world seems to be getting 'worse' because everything can be seen on the tv or the internet... Things were just as messed up before. I don't think Punk is more important than anything that has happened in history. I just like the message of the song. Most of the things Itch (the singer) attributes to punk bands were around before punk.

  • @okiisama Its true bad things happened in the 60s, but what im referring to is that people were happier, optimismistic, and people generally got on better. In the song the singer says something along the lines of the hippies dream faded and "they still believed in flower power". Thats like someone going up to someone else, shooting them, and then blaming them for lying on the floor. The Punks were instrumental in the destruction of the movement, and played right into the hands of the government.

  • @brieflycake People have been very optimistic at various points in time it's not just the 1960s I mean I'm sure people were more happier, more optimistic and got on better before the industrial revolution it doesn't make that time better! Punks did not destroy hippies! 1. Hippies are still going 2. Punk was influenced by hippie culture! And yep the majority of punk sold out and played into the goverment : / It's quite sad to see.

  • @okiisama Well the 60s was a unique point in history, like there has never been before. Although the Punks didnt single handedly destroy the hippies, they certainly were instrumental in their destruction, one need look no further than the punk slogan "kill a hippie". Its true the hippies arent completely destroyed, because like a flower, the upper plant has been destroyed, but the roots still remain, and when the jack boot is lifted, it may flourish again. That is the meaning of flower power.

  • What if punk never happened? Hmm... Maybe we would have had a chance of peace? Sadly Gen X set out to destroy the people who had fought so hard for the liberty they had, the REAL threat, the hippies. Look how many sixties icons were assassinated, Hendrix, Lennon, Joplin, Jim Morrison etc. Look how many punk icons were assassinated, ummm, oh yeah, NONE. If the punks were so meaningful and powerful, how come no one in a position of power gave a hoot about them? Exactly.

  • @brieflycake

LOL Give it a break, just because noone got assassinated doesn't mean punk isn't important!

    Your thick dude...

  • @GoalsDotNet Its one example, not the whole story.

  • BOOYAKASHA

  • This is a strange comparison, but the end of this reminds me of 'Oh, The Places You'll Go' by Dr. Seuss.

  • If you can see them live, I highly recommend going

  • who wants to occupy some shit?

  • I'ts a shame most of those things he mentions are happening anyway, despite of

    punk...

  • @bnvkte Actually. I know people like this. This is true.

  • I'm pretty sure there would be no grunge without punk anyway...

  • The King Blues is underrated because the top hats and governments don't want you to hear this, they want you to hear chart music, where they use subliminal messages in the music and the videos. Do not let your children listen to that, it is brainwashing. Punk is alive inside me, and I am ready to change this world with my music. Give me support and thumbs this up for people to see.

  • if Punk never happened, I would be dead

  • This is beautiful <3

  • Punk's not dead folks, just a little asleep... see punkrockers com

I think R*I*P is going to cover this song Trash as hell, lyrics are truer than true.

  • A true poet. The King Blues are so underrated

  • Four people still believe in flower power. :)

  • @AbbyTritonus I hope you die.

  • i have shivers running down my back.

  • Viva la pink, just one life, anarchy!

  • @goodnicefoot Viva la punk*

  • @lostgoneinthebin123 thanks, well.....i can't recover from that fail xD

  • @goodnicefoot xD ah well...you're off the hook considering you love this song. :P

  • @lostgoneinthebin123 haha damn right! lyrics are freaking amazing :)

  • Beautiful.

  • Epic Song Kurwa.

  • Good tune, and I like the meaning, but Nirvana and most of the grunge scene wouldn't have happened without punk.

  • this is stupid. punks don't actually do anything to fight the system, they just talk about it, get drunk and make shitty music. the hippies, crappy as they were, actually affected change, ending a war, and ousting a president. punk is just an excuse for ugly people to wear halloween costumes all year round.

  • @gunz219 You're such an ignorant twat, if you hate punk and this music, why did you type in THE KING BLUES on youtube? You're also vain.

  • @gunz219 Anyway, after the angry comment...listen to Against Me - I was a teenage anarchist. That is about people who explain anarchists and punk and turn it into a shitty fashion statement. The King Blues are real.

  • @gunz219 exploit*

  • I got chills listening to this!

  • The way our country is ending up we are destined for long term failure. These days people only want to take what is given to them on a plate, be it benefits or media influence. If we all stood for what we pesonally believed in we could turn this country around and stop the fat cats getting fatter and share their 'milk' with each other and end up making this a place of hope rather than what is is becomming

  • A song that makes u wanna fuck, fight, and cry all in the same breadth. light in a dark roon, filled rusty nails.

  • Actually get chills in my spine every time I hear this.

Viva la punk, Just one life, Anarchy.

  • Thats the truth that lies in there, the message I am getting is that punk rock does have the power to make change happen but only if people embrace it in the same way that people embraced the hippy movement in the 60's. We can make things better but only if we all unite and fought for the good cause together instead of fighting together over silly things. We are all bigger and better than that.

  • best written song in years!! truly amazing :)

  • How come i've never herd this masterpiece until just now. ~_~

  • "The kids would rather skate, than go out and smash the state"

    They should see Clapham now..

  • They should see Clapham now..

  • I don't really see what's wrong with The Beatles and Nirvana tbh. Because at the end of the day it was the Beatles that started the whole rock thing in the first place and without them there wouldn't be punk.

  • @abc123jjb Its the thought that the government prevented punk.

  • What a fail of a song

  • @abc123jjb Are you inbred or just fucking stupid?

  • Irony upon fucking irony... seriously, is this song supposed to exist in that 'alternate reality' as well, where rap never got though-provoking lyrics? Seriously, nice name-dropping and all, but that felt about as awkward as Miley Cyrus wearing an Iron Maiden T-shirt.

  • @Metllerr this is what derived from punk thats where rap came from , he grew up in the times punk was huge so he wants to know what itd be like where punk didnt happen

  • So we can all agree this is the best song ever written, right?

  • Gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Cant wait to see them at boardmasters in a few weeks!

  • it's a good song, but the lyrics are pretty embarrassing for a band that's played off as being politically motivated, really :0/

    hating on hippies?

pretty sure hippies have made more impact on society than punk ever has..

    anti-vietnam protests, anyone?

and the concept that nirvana would exist if punk had never happened is pretty laughable.

bonus points for mentioning Propagandhi though!

  • @q2re45g7v4

agreed kind of, the hippies of the past yes most deffinitly but all the hippies of this time just sit around and drop acid...

  • @gallopingfoxly my little bros a dick'he got on my comp.

  • i listened to this and ended up feeling all fired up and ready to do something!

no other band's managed to make me feel like that

ended up stayin at home though :P

  • One of the most haunting songs I gave ever, ever heard. Absolutely fantastic!

  • If punk never happened, how would grunge and Nirvana still exist? Grunge used punk as an influence.

    Great song.

  • 'Realise that the other world that you're always looking for lies right here in front of us, just outside this door.'

Goddamn, these lyrics made me think too much!!! <3

  • 'While I had you working in the dark, you didn't realise that I had completely stopped your ability to organise.'

    AMAZING!! <3

  • From a true 1970's Punk, this rocks!

  • Punx for life, in it for life, in it till death.

  • 3 people are still waiting for punk to happen

  • 3 people are Deaf!!

  • amazing

  • Well this is shit.. The dude knows nothing about grunge. Grunge is fucking punk not some hippie shit. Nirvana wouldn't have happened without punk. Idiot.

  • @hummingbird830 solid!!

  • this is inspirational

  • Great song... though it's "had've" not "had of".

  • I've always been a conformist but this song makes me think that it's conformists like me that stop humanity from reaching its full potential. This song is inspiring.

  • holy fuck

  • Its great but what exactly is it trying to say? can someone explain?

  • this song is bacon. just amazing

  • This song make me think 'Fuck everything.' I like that thought. I like this song.

  • Gives me chills.

  • this song is amazing. quite simply outstanding.

  • This song/poem reminds me of 1984 by George Orwell, i love it

  • OUR STREETS BABY!!!!

  • Far too schmaltzy..

  • awsome..

  • This is the best song EVER!

  • Thank the good hippy above for punk rock!

  • Lots of logical holes in this reality construct. Grunge would never have existed if it weren't for punk. And not all of the hippy movement was pacificist or apathetic. In fact a good portion of it was radical and action oriented. ...what dude, never heard of the MC5 and their connection to the White Panthers, The Yippies, The Weather Underground, the SDS? Iggy and the Stooges came from the hippy scene. Nothing is ever unconnected. ...... Nonetheless this IS a GREAT TRACK.

  • why fight the power, when we are the power, when we have the power, the power to change, to change what's wrong, because if you don't like something, REBEL!

  • How Many times did I hear this to be able to tell it by heart? haha love it. The last part makes me shake from being stoked.Viva la Punk, Just one life, Anarchy.

  • @linusro93 tha last line gives me chills too

  • wow

  • that was.... incredible.

  • thanks to this song, i found propaghandi. they are great :D

  • Major fucking goosebumps everytime.

  • @MrAndrewNorris especially the last line

  • Viva la punk, JUst one life, anarchy!!!!

  • That was...amazing. Dude, yeah. still early 20's myself and still so much more music out there is find. Punk Rock is just so down to earth. Its about as natural as you can get. Raw emotion and raw lyrics.

  • Love it!, the only thing Im not sure of is that Nirvana states Punk Rock as a big influence, and hearing their early stuff, I believe them.

  • I surprised myself by really enjoying this. Some of the lyrics are extremely cringey though. Last 2 minutes redeemed the whole song :)

  • i think they should lay off the hippies, and put down the racist, homophobic, antitheist and facists.

the hippies did fight toltalitarian control, just not in the same way the punks did.

  • Dude are you stuid this message is true its about being who you want to be and being proud of it, standing up for whatever you believe in however that may be.

  • @masteruber12 Obviously you don't understand the meaning of punk...

  • @masteruber12 this song is the fucking definition of punk music!

  • Just fucking gorgeous and bittersweet and painful and true.

  • this is so amazing.
