I probably may not say this, but some things look familiar xD
1. one of our oboe students once came to her lesson with an awful looking reed.
she explained her cat had chewed on it!
2. every winter, when it's cold, i have problems with the lower part that fell off your oboe (i don't know what it's called in english, 'bell'??)
anyway, due the low temperature, the cork gets smaller and the bell almost falls off ;)
