  • i slept with this sharmouty a few yrz back in paris

  • hezbollah is the one who kicked israel on the face. giving it a bloody nose. hezbollah killed 286 jews soldiers in 2006 war while israel killed 1000 lebanese civilians

  • Leila is sharmuta

  • air bi tizik rou7é t3alamé el english ya a7ouné

  • Somebody explain why Iran is arming hez and spewing hate while advancing the idea of a new caliphate. Lebanon is a flea to swat when the radicals begin their attack. I hope the nonviolent sects in the region get out before it is turned into a smoking hole in the dirt. To the nuts who think god commands them to rule the planet, dress light, it's going to be hot where you're going.

  • @TwoToeTea We don't hate Jews. Infact Moses - one of the Muslim prophets was a Jew! However, we hate Zionists. Look up Zionism. What is now known as Israel was once called PALESTINE. However, after the Holocaust, the UN decided to give a small minority of Palestine to the Jews so that they can live in peace. The Palestinians agreed to it eventually. But after support from America & Britain, Israel have illegally taken 400% more land than they were given violating a UN law by force..

  • FUCK ISRAEL AND FUCK ALL WHO LOVE ISRAEL !!

  • @TwoToeTea I am no Hezbollah spokesperson. I'll leave it at that. I don't like to appease north americans by pleading with them to accept me and telling them that we muslims are a civilized bunch. I frankly don't care if the Americans consider Hez terrorists. Hezbollah is very critical of the US's unwavering and blind support of the zionist entity. Ahmadinejad says unfiltered stuff, because he doesn't need to play the political game. He speaks of eradicating zionism. He's not crazy of course.

  • @TwoToeTea we don't hate jews. I for one have many jewish friends. Zionism is an expansionist racist regime. They have stolen and continue to steal arab land. They invaded and occupied both Lebanon and the West Bank and Ghazzah. They target civilians to weaken the military resistance of these countries. They use illegal weapons (Phosphorous and cluster bombs) according to the Geneva convention. Read Noam Chomsky's book "Fateful Triangle".

  • She doesnt know what she's talking about !!! Hizbollah and Amal killed each other during Civil war !!

  • @MES961 and so what? this is the Hezb of yester year. It's almost a completely different entity now. So do you think you know what you're talking about just because the Hezb/Amal clash in the 80's.

  • @zagabel well i totally know that...no one said anything about now ...i was just commenting about the video and pointed out that they did since she ssaid they didnt..thats all.... !!

Relax dont get too offended :))

i still respect her interview...it was well done !!

Long live lebanon and socialism is the way to go !! :)

  • She doesnt know what she's talking about !!!

  • Leila, from I could understand you are for peace in your country. Good, so why not give peace to Israel instead of letting Hezbullah do whatever they want south of the Litani. Give peace and you will have peace! I would love to come to Beyrouth and have a glass of ice-cold arak and some mezze. So would many of my Lebanese friends who live in France and iun many other places. Inshallah!

  • @Yitzhakhazak

why dont u ask ur defacto gouvernement to stop breaching my COUNTRY's territorial, maritime & air-space sovereignty

why dont ur people get out of the lebanese town of ghajar, which according to UN is still under israeli occupation ( im not bringing up the issue of shebaa farms + kfarshouba hills)

international law: people thave he right to fight occupation regardless if the government approves the resistance or not. example: vichy government in france vs french resistance

  • @Yitzhakhazak

i dont want to be any one's advocate , but: ur funny to say u want peace when all uve given so far is war & aggression & occupation.

occupation= creation of resistance = fighting...

no occupation = no reason for resistance= peace or truce.

so cease ur occupation of lebanese territories

PS south the litani is a lebanese territory so its hilarious that as an israeli u advise a lebanese what to do on his or her own land.

i advise you to go check jonathan ben-artzi's columns.

  • @Yitzhakhazak

but either way.. if one day inshallah both people come to their senses and stop listening to the stupid politicians who are always thirsty for wars... maybe only then we would have peace..

but as long as there is one cm of my land is occupied peace would have no meaning simpley because it will continue to form an excuse for both warring sides to carry on.

  • @Yitzhakhazak awwww. Really, you want to come to Beirut. And your knowledge of Lebanese mezzeh and liquor really warms my heart. I am gonna start protesting against Hezbollah now and forget all about your murderous criminal racist society so you can have and enjoy our country. And are you suggesting there are some Lebanese in france that can't go to Lebanon. Why is that? Expired passports? Get outta here you racist zionist. Your end is near.

  • Nabiho

this interview was in 2006.. right following the israeli aggression on lebanon..

lots have changed ever since.. including the use of arms internally in 2008 ..

so anything till 2006 is one thing.. following that, this video doesnt hold much..

anyway.. the questins that were directed to me were about the formation of hizbullah.. their founding letter and their politics during the civil war all the way till 2006.. try to judge this clip through that.

  • @LeilaHatoum 1thing that i know now...we need a revolt....

  • @nabiho93

you need to calm down my son..

we need civilized people to discuss things rationally without any prejudice.

revolt.. or fighting.. or any violent action will only create more violence and havoc,

lebanon doesnt belong to u o that u revolt and force ur view on others.

and lebanon doesnt belong to any other party.

YOU PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN HOW TO COEXIST..

try to understand this word wlo..

uffffffffffffffff.. we, the lebanese will never learn from our mistakes.

  • @LeilaHatoum hmmm ok mommy... anyways....no i wont calm down...thats all u think about peace? oh ya thats great lets live in this fake american-made democracy.....just so a couple of people(western tramps) dont die defending other nation's interests in the arab land...and ya i speak on the behalf of the arabs...since to me there is no lebanon its just a region and dialect...we are all 1 nation so wake up and stop "coexisting" on our interests !!! damn u USA and iran !

  • @nabiho93

    dear,

if every1 calmed down a bit & rationalized we'd live & coexist happily together + perhaps agree to face other problems threatening our country such as occupation +other issues..

as for what u said about not confessing to lebanon but to an arab nation.. then please be my guest to revoke ur lebanese passport & go c if any arab nation would be happy to give u its nationality.

U R LEBANESE first. /arab 2nd.. not the other way around. -arab ethnicity isnt a nationality.

    peace

  • @LeilaHatoum Leila your interview is nicely done.

But you cant say that they did not get involved in civil war during the 80's. They have fought heavily with Amal which led to blood bath and fought against the Progessive Socialist Party but it was few clashes only during the 80's

  • this was part of a 2 hour interview via the phone that covered all political aspects following the war on lebanon in 2006. to my surprise only the answers concerning hizbullah questions were posted.

they fought amal by end of 80s (i already mentioned that below), BUT the civil war in lebanon was depicted as war between christians & muslims..

amal & hizb fought as amal was supported by syria which hizb considered as foreign occupation (b4 lebanon legalized syrian presence in taef accord in1990)

  • leila is hot buut she should talk a bit slower.

  • @deadmanshand2010

;) will try to in the future..

    thanks for the compliment

  • hahah we all know that the shias who fought the lebanese in the civil war are the same people who form the hizbullah army...so stop trying to say they're innocent they do fight...but under the amal movement shield...but apparently that didnt prevent the 2008 invasion of beirut

  • @nabiho93

    check da reply above

  • hziballah wasnt round until 1985 not 1982 so ibla3ilik chi air hmar. hizballah wi amal neko ba3id bill 1987 dont tell me they never fought in the civil war

  • @debel101 u think u make a better statement by swearing at me..

i said they were officially founded in 1985.. as a consequence to the israeli invasion of 1982..

SO... listen well before u make a silly argument that doesnt hold.

it is true that hizbullah & amal fought over power zones by end of 80. hizbullah was fighting syrian presence at the same time when amal movement was supporting syrians. they didnt carry out killings against christians as the civil war was labelled then

  • @troublesome961 . it is true that hizbullah and amal fought over power zones by end of 80 because hizbullah was fighting the syrian presence at the same time when amal movement was supporting syrians. they didnt fight in the civil war. they didnt carry out killings against christians as the civil war was labelled then the fight between muslims and christians (east beirut vs west beirut)

  • @fuckdapuss .. I said Druze state.. not jews state.. check it again b4 u comment.. and there are plenty of jewish lebanese who support lebanon and refuse to go to israel and i know plenty of them.

  • jew state in lebanon?

lol layla your dreaming..the jews left 40 years ago to israel..

theire is nothing souch as jewish lebanese

maby the american followers like hariri and ja3 ja3 saniora are the friends of israel thats why we call them jews yes..

  • Just wanted to point out that Hezbollah fought Amal for control during the civil war

  • Beautiful and smart! Will you marry me?

    Very good summary :)

  • @valerienanh

hehehe.. i am honoured, and thanks. but i will have to politely decline the offer as my heart belongs to another ;)

  • @LeilaHatoum - haha !! Keep speaking the truth!!

  • beeeeeeeeep worng that was then , now there is only one power in lebanon and every one else is just nothing, zaman el awal t7awal.

  • @issareign.. 100% with u on loving lebanon.. best country ever..

Patriorism is your conviction that this country is superior to all other countries because you were born in it.

الوطنية هي إيمانك بأن بلدك أسمى من باقي البلدان فقط لأنك ولدت فيه.

    --{george bernard shaw}--

  • all i can focus on in this video is the beautiful background. god i love lebanon.

  • @philip .why chose any evil when i can try and get my countrymen together.we dont have to follow any1..the israelis are killing lebanese with the support of US & EU made weapons as well... what i aspire for is that one day the lebanese would stand united in the face of any foreign interference and it is feasable, (once all of our fudal family politicians get lost) ..

BTW, re-read history very well. Hizbullah dont like syrians.. will explain later why.. gtg.. and im enjoying our discussions her

  • oh, and philip.. seriously, if u r not lebanese, dont try to attack me from the "being a patriot"angle.. the oldest trick in the book of negotiations. when u cant beat them, question their background and intentions.. not that catchy...

my family had its part in shaping the lebanon people know today.. my grandma's uncle was the man who fought french occupation, he shot general Gauraud - who survived- at a time when France occupied lebanon. i am against any foreign power carryin arms on my land

  • @LeilaHatoum , then what are you doing when you are against foreign interference? Iran and Syria are killing Lebanese who oppose them. Your stance is but a dream and Hezbollah will just laught at you. You have to choose the lesser evil, my friend.

  • @philip...the real patriots would be those who support their own country against any foreign interference.. be it iran, israel, france, syria, USA, egypt...

i never said i backed hizbullah.. if it were to me i would gather all political parties in lebanon, place them on a ship, light it up & let it sail towards the sunset. it is after all the non-patriotic politicians who made my country what it is today..

the only party i believe in is the LEBANESE ARMY, & the state's Internal security forces

  • @LeilaHatoum: Bravo Leila! I truly admire and highly respect your so objective and civilized way of discussing politics! Keep it up!

  • thank you.. if every person maintains a civilized way in discussing any matter, the world would know lesser fights.

we dont have to agree all the time. or accept eveyone else's ideas. but this doesnt give any1 the right to use foul language.. and this doesnt mean we should stick to opinions based on falsefied information... there are two sides for each story.. learn them both before choosing a side...

hearing one side then deciding means u were never and shall never be a seeker of the truth.

  • @LeilaHatoum: I totally agree with every word you uttered Leila! Your words are words of wisdom indeed! Thus, this is really the way discussion should be conducted! Moreover, I'd like to add that discussing any matter of any kind should occur with mutual respect regardless of whether any side is wrong or right! However, if all politicians in Lebanon think the same way you do, Lebanon will always be in peace! God bless you!

  • @ philip.. as for the inevitable war.. which one?.. an internal war.. it is highly unlikely,.. example: may 8 2008 fights failed because there is a lack of will to go into long civil fights again in lebanon.

if u r talking about an israeli war on lebanon. then yes it is inevitable at one point or another.. for the past 5 months the israelis have been increasing their military presence on the lebanese southern borders. doing war manouvers +breaching our airspace. they are preparing for something

  • @LeilaHatoum Im stating facts. Hezbollah are shameless entity who refuse to follow the Lebanese govt. You are all Lebanese but you will not hesitate to kill your own fellow people just bcoz they disagree with Hezbollah. You know war is inevitable, either by Hezbollah's provocation or resistance to Lebanon govt.

  • @ philip crusader.. regardless what any government thinks, according to international law, if a piece of ur land is occupied, u r allowed to carry arms and fight occupation even if ur own government forbade u.. example: french resistnce during nazi occupation under the gov of vichy... lebanese part of ghajar village is occupied by israel = they have the right 2 resist. ...

the smart thing to do is try to find a common point to integrate them as part of the army as other fighters in the 90s did

  • mujaheeed... regardless of what you or lebaneseshowoff think.. please you have to keep mind your language..

everyone has their differences... if u guys just argue with facts rather than swear words, people would be more than happy to listen to what u guys have to say rather than taking sides based on how much they hate u or him because of the way you elaborate your sense of low-language...

this is OUR country (all of us lebanese)

we should learn to coexist rather than kill each other

  • @LeilaHatoum Yes you are right but Hezbollah wants to impose their will. War is inevitable...

  • Lebaneseshowoff yoooou stuuupid asshole hezballah is lebanon IF NOT HEZBOLLAH DID WHAT THEY DID YOU WILL BE FUCKED IN YOUR ASS NOW FROM THE ISRAELIAN YOU FUCKING 3AMIL YOOOOOU EVERYONE WHO SAAAY OUWET AND OUWET I SWEAR IF YOUR LEADER SÄG COME AND FICHT FOR ME YOU WILL SHOOT YOUR LEADER YOUR COWORD BASTARD AND IFF YYOU WANT WE CAN MEET EATCH OTHER AND I CAN TELL YOU HOW THE LEBANESE LIKE ME FUUUCK LEBANESE LIKE YOU YOUR FUCKING ASSHOLE YOOU ARE A 3AMIIL AND IF I SEE YOU I WILL FUCK YOU

  • Comment removed

  • and in case u dont know the first rule of military warfare.. any regular army going into street fights is bound to lose.. french resistance proved it against the nazi army.. the israeli invasion was quelled by the lebanese resistance.. any army staying in foreign land will sustain more losses by street fights rather than engaging in behind-border wars... shall i also remind you that lebanon is a country for christians, jews and muslims.not one sect. or for one religion. too bad u think otherwise

  • saying hizbullah (both its christian and muslim military wings) is the reason behind ruins in the south, is just like blaming the french resistance for the destruction of paris..

charles DG was opposed by the french vichy government but he continued to resist nazi occupation and his country is better because of him.. during the israeli occupation (which continues till now) hizbullah is the resistance, and is supported by international law. israeli aggression shouldnt go without a reaction

  • very interesting.. my dear.. everyone fought everyone else during the civil war.. christians fought each other, muslims fought each other,, and both fought each other.. that is why it was called the civil war..

what did the lebanese forces do to muslims and christians who opposed them? shall i remind you of slaying them on lebanese forces checkpoints? shall i remind u that lebanese forces (ouwwet) killed president franjiye's family inside the church. what about our late Danny Chamoun

  • i want nothing from any of you or anyone except to be civilized when posting a comment..

when someone ignorant lacks the ability to argue or present facts vs facts they resort to swear words and degrading manner of communicating with others.

i dont suffer from what people write here about me. i just feel sorry that instead of discussing their criticism, they attack anything they dont understand. its a pitty how much our world lack methods of proper discussion and manners of communication

  • so what u want now!!! how can we help you, bec u look like u r suffering...lol

  • FYI i come from a long line of lebanese who defended lebanon agaunst occupation. my grandma's uncle is adham bek darwiche. aka adham khanjar. he is the very same man who resisted french mandate and shot general henry G. in his left fake arm..

i have lebanese christian, jewish, and muslim blood in my family and myself.

i refused a foreign nationality because i believe in holding one passport.. the lebanese one..

what did you do to your country?

again.. check my last sentence in this clip

  • @LeilaHatoum You are doing a great disservice to your country. You have a misplaced nationalism. The real patriots are the Lebanese who oppose the Iranian-backed Hezbollah.

  • @philipdcrusader Lebanese know the best what is happening and happened in their country. It is very inappropriate for a fucking ignorant retard like you to interfere. Pro Israel people from outside Lebanon, like you, want Lebanon to be a instable country. The Lebanese nationtal resistance has made us pride, because we defeated the most powerful (and satanic) army in the middle east. And we are determined to blow off your head every time your dirty hands touches our pure land.

  • very interesting to see the level of discussion you guys have stooped to

if you want people to listen to u, try to post civilized discussions rather than exploding ur ignorance & incompetencies here without any facts

    i didnt defend hizbullah.

this was part of a live 3-hour interview that was held in 2006 .. i was asked several questions and the result of the editing only focused on the answers concerning hizbullah..

im more lebanese than any of you.

listen to the last sentence and judge

  • Truelebanese1!!!

Kiss imik wi imm el maroun tabaik.

I dont know why we are keeping you alive!

After Sabra and shatila massacres we should have got you all out of Lebanon into Israel or the US. Yu would have loved it there!! fiki tsharemti ad ma beddik hounik.

  • The Sabra and Shatila massacres were payback for the Damour Massacre started by the Palestinians. We let you in our country and give you shelter and that's how you pay us? That's was all your uncle arafat's fault, we gave him control of the palestinian camps and he turns around and kill us? Why should we leave a OUR country? it's not a Christian, Muslim or Druze country, it's Lebanese, after the Sabra and Shatila massacres you should have got the message and left, instead you stayed. OUWET!

  • GET THE FUCKkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk OUT OF OUR COUNTRY, THE LEBANON-PHOENICIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • bitch

  • learn english biatchhhhh

  • is she lebanese?

  • SHE's a SHARMOUTA BRAINWASHED TRAITOR

  • whats that mean

  • Lila, why don't you work on improving your English....this is a joke.

  • if there no hezbollah in lebanon, you see israeli in beirut like there are in there home town

  • ASSASSINS CRIMINALS People of SATAN GET

THE FUCKkkkkkkkkk OUT OF OUR COUNTRY

    THE LEBANON-PHOENICIA!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU ASSASSINS Criminals Illegal Aliens, Palestinians, Syrians, Iranians, and Arabs ..Ya Shramít Ya Mnéwík, Shaeb' l SHITÁN, NO matter how many illegal Lebanese Passports You ALL got, You can NEVER Everrrrrr be and NEVER will be LEBANESE!!!!!! GET THE FUCK OUT OF OUR COUNTRY, THE LEBANON-Phoenicia!!!!!!

  • Israel was in Lebanon, and helped us Christians during the civil war by arming and training Lebanese Forces Martyrs, thanks to them there are still Christians in Lebanon. They came in like it was their house and no one stopped them. At one point in time it was palestinians, syrians and Lebanese Muslims against the Lebanese Christians. Ouwet!

  • you are belong 14 az3ar they are israeli dogs

  • abooose rabbek!!

  • Watta pile of bullshit in such short time !

  • Great story. I was just recently in Lebanon and let me say that I was astonished by the discrimination against the Shittes in southern cities in Lebanon (hezbullah stronghold). While Beirut, Sidon, Tripoli were all clean, beautiful and well taken care of, Soor (Tyre) was quite the opposite. I don't know if its from the war or not, but there was a great discrepency between the cities mentioned and Soor. Anyways, I just wanted to point this out and maybe understand others' perspectives. TY

  • Hizbollah is pure evil

  • I don't know about all of you but personally i'd rather be supported by the United States and France (which are first world countries that respect human rights) than to be supported by Iran and Syria (which are a dictatorship regime who don't believe in any freedoms or human rights)

Thank you Leila for the video but i think i'll stick to what i know and that is Hizballah is a goverment w/in the goverment & need to be disarmed before any negotiations! We can't negotiate with armed terrorists!

  • I have had it up to here with ignoramuses who keep repeating over and over again that the US is pro-freedom, pro-democracy and pro-human rights...

Listen to Chomsky, read Finkelstein... you can find them both on Youtube if you don't feel like picking up a book...

  • Armed terrorists you say? what do you call the soldiers from the US and the remainder of the so-called "coalition of the willing" rampaging through Iraq? peacekeepers? how many Iraqi civilians have been killed by them since 2003? what human rights principle did the US abide by when invading Iraq without UN approval? you're right we can't negotiate with armed terrorists... that's why we won't negotiate with the US

  • We will never surrender our arms and if you want them come and get them.

  • I am not a fan of the whole conflict but i want to say good job laila hatoum.

    Mike Moawieh Abu-Hatoum(Radaideh).

    Houston,Texas

  • hey im from houston texas too

  • Well, Miss Hatoum, although I am not an admirer of Hezbollah, I do think there is a large measure of truth in some of the things you say about them. It's not an unreasonable position to hold.

I just want to say that because it always depressed me to read many of the comments on YouTube.

So let me say, as someone who does not agree with many of the things you say, Thank you for doing a good and honest job of presenting your view of the situation and the role of Hezbollah in Lebanese politics.

  • thank you for the leveled reply you posted. lately it has been difficult to discuss anything over here because of the foul language used..

every1 has a different view of what happens.i respect others as they should respect mine

as for hizbullah.. they do constitute a large part of the lebanese fabric and daily social and political life. starting dialogue with them at any level, point, time, place is a key solution to get to know them.. instead of branding them and isolating them.

  • You're welcome.

I don't know why it's so difficult for human beings to discuss things. But YouTube seems to have a depressingly high number of rude shouters.

Thanks again. Keep up your good work. Good luck and God bless.

  • very interesting.

according to u, Hizbullah, which was founded following the israeli invasion to lebanon in 1982 of 50 fighters occuped 90% of lebanon with the help of syrians. & were active in a civil war which actually started 10 years before them.

Hizbullah fought syrian & israeli occupation in the 80s. syrians executed hizbullah fighters in fet-halla barrack.

it wasnt until lebanese leaders legalized syrian occupation through taef accord that hizbullah stopped fighting them as occupiers

  • my dear. It only shows that when you cant face facts with facts you resort to swear words to try and discredit people

please try to maintain a civilized and respectable debate here.

the world will not listen to anyone who speaks of such language as the one you are using now.

how can hizbullah occupy lebanon, when hezbollah members are lebanese..

it is just as saying the french are occupying france.

    that is funny.

    pick your arguments well.

  • Khomeini was installed by the CIA.

Don't forget the Iran-Contra Affair. Hezbollah was kidnapping a "new" missionary every 3 months to get weapons and money from the US via the Iran_Israel-Contra arms deals.

The CIA and French intelligence covertly have and still support Hezbollah.

March 14th had connections to the WEst.

    But Western Intelligence and

  • hahaha she works for hezbollah ffs.. everything she says is a LIE!! and the hole world knows that so go to hell evil whore

  • hey parrot...a person who talks this way to a person he disagree, shows how low you are...calling it lie dont make it a lie, calling her bad, dont makes her bad. its only show how stupid and uneducated you are...

  • hezbollah was founded as an excuse to occupy and commit massacres when israel invaded lebanon

  • hezbollah was founded as a result of the invasion of lebanon and the killing of 25.000 people during the invasion. what is occupied by hezb. in lebanon? which massacres hezb. commited?

  • haha, hezbollah and syria occupied about 90% of lebanon and in the lebase civil war about 250 000 lebanese civilians was killed by hezbollah and plo... plo also commited several massacres before the civil war..

  • show me the sources that hezballah killed 250.000 civilians. mr. maybe you simply lie, or you are just uneducated. 250.000 is the number of killed people of the civil war 1976-1994. syria helped first the christians to strike back leftist millitary achievements...man get some education or leave the discussion..

  • very interesting.

this interview was back in 2006. get me one fact at that time that dicredits any of my facts.

please try to maintain a civilized and respectable debate here.

the world will not listen to anyone who speaks of such language as the one you are using now.

    thank you

  • Labayka ya Nassrallah.

Hezbollah ios the reason that Lebanon exists today

  • hezbollah is the reason the Lebanese south is still in ruins, and the whole south of Lebanon was bombed in 2006, yeah way to go, go hezbollah go!! They cannot prevent Israel from entering Lebanon, if they really wanted to, they can occupy Lebanon in 24 hours, and none of the sects in Lebanon can stop them, even if they united. You think you're so smart, they use guerilla tactics, they attack and hide with the civilians.

  • fuck hezbollah suck my dick you fucken terrorist if it wrent the media and the un who are fucken pussy israel whod have fuck the shit out of you

  • very interesting to see ur level of discussion... u actually think that by swearing and using foul language you would score a point? too bad that instead of carrying out a "mature" discussion to get ur ideas through, u just cover ur incompetencies & lack of self esteem by posting foul language.

instead of swearing why dont you show some class-act talk & confront matters fact to fact.

AGAIN, I ASK ALL OF YOU, please, if u dont like what I said in this video, just oppose it in a civilized way

  • Tell me Ms. Hatoum,

What square inch of Lebanese territory does Israel occupy? And beyond any pretenses that Hezbollah uses to sustain hostilities with Israel, do you really want hezbollah to be empowered even more than it is? Do you want more Syrian influence? Do you want to live in a neo-Iran, because that is where your country is headed.

  • I will not speak of the internationally disputed shebaa farms..

I will simply refer you to the lebanese part of the town of Ghajar, which Israel continues to occupy.. that is according to the UN ..

and if u dont like the UN , then I can refer you to the israeli northern command which approves that Ghajar is half lebanese and Half syrian, but refuses to withdraw from it for strategic reasons..

  • As for Hizbullah.. this interview was in 2006, and i was asked questions about the creation of Hizbullah...whether Hizbullah took part in the Civil war or not and why were there demonstrations back then...

If you listen careffully to what I said I was just stating facts that they came into existance after the israeli invasion to lebanon..that they have alliances with multiconfessional parties, just like the other political camp's side.

  • Look up Brigitte Gabriel on youtube. She lived in Lebanon and would never call it an Israeli "invasion." She called them saviors.

  • not hard to find people like her as many of those who collaborated with occupation across the world and throughout history.

how can they be saviors if the spent nearly three decades on lebanese soil, killing lebanese, torturing & imprisoning them?

I dont know brigitte.. but i can tell u that anyone who witnesses the occupation of their country and call it saving is a french vichi.. u would also like to know that SLA people worked as watchdogs for israelis.. their opinion cannot be relied on

  • Just look her up, watch a few clips and then tell me what you think of what she has to say.

  • i already did.that's why i told u i dont know her .she is well spoken but she has 0 experience on facts and truth about lebanon, muslims and christian-muslim ratio. do u think she would have received similar welcome if she was well spoken for the other camp?

I can point out the mormons do reproduce than most of the muslims i know around the middle east. When france did the sensus in 1932 out of the 18 confessions in lebanon the maronites were a majority..but christians werent as a whole

  • fact 1- most muslim shiites were forced out of lebanon during ottoman occupation coz of persecution. when they came back during french "mandate", the sensus was long done so they werent counted in

fact 2- she said palestinians and muslims set up checkpoints etc... she failed to mention that christians (phalanges and lebanese forces) in addition to druze also set their own check points and killed fellow civilians from opposite religions.. IT WAS THE CIVIL WAR. evey1 had a hand in, all religions

  • I have been a reporter for nearly a decade now.. what hurts my domain most, are ppl like her giving false info as facts or half truths.she failed to mention that many renowned lebanese scientists were muslim (hassan kamel alsabbah). she failed to note that when lebanon received its independence, the three major sects were maronite x-tians, muslim sunnis and muslim shiite.. (this give u an idea about the distribution).but lebanon still witnessed a golden era all the way because of the coexistance

  • i grant her that im disgusted about terrorism.. but the way she spoke was as if muslims were behind all evil that was brought upon lebanon & the world. she fails to remember that the oklahoma detonator was american.. that hitler was european. that spaniards burned & tortured jews & muslims in spain.. protestant and catholic killings in UK & ireland.being western doesnt mean ur not a terrorist..being muslim doesnt mean u r a terrorist . fanatic ppl r bad.. be it christian, jewish or muslim etc

  • from the way she spoke about going to israel when she was a teenager cause her mom was hit by a "MUSLIM" shell... she either lived all her life inside the shelter in order not to be able to touch money before that (she said she hadnt).. i seriously want to know if she was outside the shelter & asked the bomb if it were muslim... i've witnessed for a fact many x-tians & muslims in southern lebanon who DIDNT collaborate with israeli occupation, get sacked out of their houses, imprisoned or killed

  • I, personally am against the idea of any person holding arms in lebanon except the lebanese army. However, all parties hold arms, Hizbullah being strongest among them.

But then again, and i dont want to be the devil's advocate in this case if you look at international law, it allows any civilian to carry arms and fight occupation even if his or her own government refused this.simple example is the case of the french resistance under charles degaulle was fought by the french government then

  • Israel never had any problem with Lebanon, it was the most peaceful border till the palestinians created there their mini state - Fatahland and attacked from there our towns and villages with rockets.Hezbollah is doing the same, acting as the puppet of Iran, so don't wonder if you'll get next time a harsh response, in comparison to which 2006 was only some nice fireworks...
