  • This looks much better than terranova's dinos

  • @MitchMontoya That's what I keep hearing, what's this Terra Nova stuff & why is my stuff better? (no i don't watch TV)

  • It was cool, but the arms freak me out for some reason.

  • Send the animation? we'll give you credit!

  • @UserFilmsTV nope!

  • brother, queremos un tutorial please, gracias.

  • awesome.. but while working on this if u had turn on the camtasia and record everything for us had been awesome:P

  • esse dino ta passando fome? heauheuaheuhauheauhaeueah, sem zueira agora, ficou muito boa essa animação!

    Parabéns!

  • cooooooool

  • Its good, but it looks like his feet arent touching the floor in some steps, his claws need to fit the floor more.

  • Ahahaha!

Wow man, you actually bought that pre-posed Turbosquid model and somehow posed it back to neutral without making the rig look retarded. I've seen others try the same thing with the same model and fail HILARIOUSLY.

Animation still needs a little work; looks a bit stiff. Nothing detracts from being able to fix that model though. Xenu only knows what the uploader was thinking, not providing a flat pose. How worthless for such an otherwise nice-looking model?

  • @JJMDude Lol, yeah I actually had to slice it in 2 and mirror it, if i remember correctly.

  • wow man that look so Real

  • its been said already but the compositing was great but the animation is not great at all.

  • The animation and lighting is great . But you should work on it's ankles. Keep up the good work

  • love it!!!!!!!!!

  • doy ou know any 3d models thad are free and compatible with blender 3d? also rigged. i am making a school movie but i want to keep the budget as low as possible.

  • that was really good

  • really really really awesome!!!!!

  • how did u make that t-rex? i'v been trying to make one but it all ways fail

  • You should give it cruches.

  • he pooped his pants?

  • you should make the camera shake when it steps :)

  • I think the lighting and actual render is very very well done, but the movement needs work. Just some constructive criticism :) Good job overall though!

  • Think that was a female She had to much space betwen her legs if u know what i mean =))

  • I only think theres something bad, T-Rex is very heavy and theres no foot steps on the ground

  • t rex is moving bad rest is ok

  • he has big balls! :D

  • I think he needs to take a crap, or is constipated or something. . . Also his arms are too long for a Tyrannosaur, but otherwise, nice.

  • those trucker got into a crash

  • Wow that T-Rex looks awesome! A little out of place in the video thou XD I wouldn't casually drive by one

  • I think it's great! I know animation is hard, but you should have worked a little more on it's ankles, to make it's leg movements not so stiff.

  • @DragonxXxShadow Thanks, yeah i've since figured it all out now, see my spinosaurus animations, got the feet much better!

  • @derkoi Oh cool! Off I go! xD

  • the truck drivers was like... "wtf, that t-rex is going on the wrong direction!"

  • @AfterEffectsLova No need for all caps.

  • Now i know why cars dont go to the other side of the road.

  • Please tell me how to make such amazing artwork. I need to know because i'm doing a movie. Let me know if theres any tutorials. Thanks Official202.

  • @AfterEffectsLova CAPTAIN CAPSLOCK AND HIS SHIFTCREW !!!

  • @AfterEffectsLova Don´t get your question.... Well, try pressing 8, and then use your image/film in the enviroment map.... you´ll see your image will appear in your render...

  • pretty nice :D

  • This T-Rex is walking like it's trying not to pee itself

  • t-rex is walking like it just got kicked in the balls.

  • If i saw that Trex while driving id be all like wtf? mom! speed up

  • Good model, great compositing, great texturing, animation could use some work. Fix of the posture and make it look less scrunched up. great job though!

  • well you made it walk like it's not a heavy animal. But gotta admit the model is amazing

  • @chikenexpress36 yup i gots dimonds in der

  • A little bit of camera shake with each step would make this look so much better.

  • good job on the compositing. Your blacks seem a little low on the rex. Shot in Manchester? ;)

  • Oh fuck! That was amazing! I'd so want to be driving down THAT highway (:

  • how the hell do you make these effects????

  • Amazing man.. just amazing...

I like the T-rex's blending in the environment... the colors and the lightning are dead-on

  • @EntanglementSatan Thanks

  • @EntanglementSatan Lol its not that great

  • And if you look to your left, you can see a 50 foot T-rex rampaging down a major state highway!.........wait, HOLY SHIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That truck did not crash...you would think it would lol..... If I was driving the truck it would be in peaces lol!!!!!!!!!!!!! great attempt at the dino form too!!!!

  • may i give a bit of critique? its just my opinion that its a bit wide and slouches a bit much but i still envy how well you animate X3

  • @AfterEffectsLova render it out as an image sequence using tif with am alpha channel

  • FFFFFFAAAAAAAKKKKKKEEEEEEE and GaY!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 i put the 1 on purpose

  • @burntwaffle37 You know a word "animation"? You read descriptions? Did someone say that it is a Real T-Rex dinosaur?

    Fuck off.

  • 911 whats you emergency: yes i would like to report a dinosaur sighting.

  • I'm not sure but I think this is fake.

  • @erwin005 of course its fake notice how everyone drives by and dont pay attention to the t-rex

  • @AKADevious it was a joke lol! :P

  • the trucks are following him?

  • one of these days we will have a bad ass open-level videogame where you can shoot dinosaurs in the city

  • i just cant find any tutorials at all on making the dinasaw and how to track it in to the footage so it looks like its actualy stuck on the background plate. nightmare please please help ohh mighty one you are the god of 3ds max the oricle of animation hahahaha

  • ok i am wondoring if you can do a tutorial as i have looked all over the internet and theres nothing looked on youre channel as well. can you give me all the steps in to creating this. i no you make a model in 3ds max but how. also you track the footage but what in and how. also how do you texture the dinasaw. even if you could just do a really quick tutorial with a model of anything thats easy just so i can understand the concept of how to create i think you would be the 1st to do it

  • Excellent job. but if you can, try putting a bit more movement into the feet because as it is, it just makes the movement of the legs look stiff. watch?v=Ddfz0WHDjhY This is what I mean. that you guys should try.

  • in maya or 3ds max how can i render a tiff or png sequence as it doesnt say sequence just tiff or png i need a sequence please help

  • @williamssally in max, as long as you set the rendered frame to be anything other than 1 frame, it'll render the sequence

  • @williamssally just go to render settings en set FIle name Prefix ( name of u'r animation.. then Iamge format on tiff

or png or taga or whatever u want.. then frame/Animation ext: to name.#.ext then frame padding u can let this be 1 padding. then u scroll down to frame range and set start frame to 1.00 and end frame to what ever u like to let the rendering stop at that frame.. then select a renderable camera: and then go to the render tap and set render to batch render.. and there u go.. ;)

  • make it eat someone

  • doesn tlook very natural the way its walking

  • i find that the feet should move around more and be less flat but its a great animation

  • Bah, I see that on my street all the time!

  • I think the compositing is good. here is some constructive criticism on the animation. His feets are to far apart. they got no footroll or squashing effect when they hit the ground. He have no overlap in his head and body, thus doesnt convey realistic weight.

his arms moves similar to a human, not a dinosaur. Ofc we dont really know how a dinosaur walks, but I find it more realistic that small arms like that would just move along with the body, bouncing up and down (offset from the body)

  • @Niphern Agreed, I would just like to add to the feet/walking matter that some more gravity could be introduced it feels the entity does not weigh much as the leg musces do not show stress and the joints do not bent as if the right weight presses them which no matter how strong the dino might be it would damage its knees so your dino will get arthrites real fast. :) As far as graphics go very realistic for augmented reality without thousands of gold coins worth of CGI computers!

  • good ! i like

  • Something weird about the way it kind of waddles along, and it looks a bit wide. Idk, the proportions look off. The lighting and texture look a lot better than the previous one though. The head also looks a lot better. Just something about its' legs.

  • Now thats fucckin epic.

  • Dude...........You are fricken amazing and your so good that i dont see many people trollin! obviously your very skilled and I love how you accually take advice from your viewers! hope you see this! :D

  • I loved this! Its better than your original upload and I really liked that one.

  • @hannibalcannibalx Thanks!

  • some advice when t rex walks curve his toes back when he lift his leg :)

  • legs look kinda duck

  • Advice, because im a viewer and i think its looks real, but the head needs to move more...and its looks really robotic....so yeah plz take this advice and you can go far.

  • @DAXimuss Thanks, advice taken :)

  • t rex i gonna get pulled over by the police for going down the wrong side of the road :) xxxxx

  • @esiuol360girl19 lol yeah!

  • @esiuol360girl19 this is the uk, its the right side

  • @thedarkdragon735 yeah and the t-rex is going down the left side the wrong way, if he was on the correct side he would be walking away

  • I liked the part when he roared.

  • @TheSniperSaurus he didn't roar in this video.

  • @TheSniperSaurus OWN'D

  • lol kinda fat

  • Well done !

  • very impressive thumbs up from me

    bernie

  • O.O So coooooooooooool

    Very good job ! =3

  • @Uriko56 Thanks :)

  • Hey,

Nice anim. T-Rex curls his feet when walking, like a heron does when it's standing.

    Otherwise, great job.

  • oh my freaking god that is awesome! Oh and though this has nothing to do with animating, you're from england? *sigh* I've always wanted to go there

  • @wyethcat Thanks. Yeah I'm from England. lol

  • he walks like me after taking a very large shit.

  • It's nice but kinda fake.

  • his legs are too small

  • @CoD6MasterAndreas It was modelled from the original Stan Winston vinyl model of the Jurassic Park T-Rex.

  • Adding to what I wrote below, I just saw the T-rex video that you posted back on April 10 and you did a good job in that one with the hips and legs.

  • Great job on the compositing and lighting. This is really good for a first attempt.

The walk cycle is a little stiff. One thing that helps is to let the hips continue moving downward after the feet hit the ground. You can do this in the curves editor by finding the curve that controls the up/down motion of the hips and shifting it to the right.

See my walk cycle at aOaCNKdxm9U as an example.

  • @SteveS3D Thanks for the feedback. My other dino was a pre rigged and animated model, i textured and composited it. This one I rigged and animated myself. Practice makes perfect eh? Your walk cycles looks good, can't wait to se it on the mesh.

  • what do you feed it ??

  • @RedTellus PEOPLE! lol

  • whoa......lol that was hella nice

  • @armand111 Thanks!

  • OMG hes on the wrong side of the road.

  • cool

  • Keep at it! I enjoy these. I love my dinosaurs.

  • @FandSproduction Thanks!

  • Damn, you get better every time. One thing though, I read you were having trouble with the feet, so to hide it, you could have the camera rock every time he takes a step

  • Very nice.

My only comment would be that the feet on the TRex are too static in their orientation, they should flex a little.

  • @carlosthecactus Yeah I was having trouble with the feet rigging, hence the weakness in that area.

  • lighting and model looks perfect, but its as if the T rex has no "weight" in its animation. The feet look weird when they hit the ground, and its "thumbs" are always sticking out straight. Very good compositing however.

  • @blazraidr Yeah I was having trouble with the feet rigging, hence the weakness in that area.

  • pretty damn impressive!

  • I don't realy like the model but the animation looks alright.
