man sorry to break it to u guys, but both of these bands need serious work, NC a&t does NOT belong in the same breath as JSU, SU, or even UAPB, maybe the dancers....but the band, heck no. Now NCCU, u guys do have a wonderful concept, i just need a more consistent sound, DM's are garbage, dancers suck, those shoes make me throw up.

No he is just someone who is happy to finally go to a "black" school. He did not get that experience in high school so he is just overcompensating now. I agree with you 100% about JSU, SU, UAPB. The time he is talking about is Southern vs A&T back in 2003. It is on here, you should check it out. Don't get me wrong, I thought A&T did great at Honda. I know they will continue to do well.

Now as an Aggie, I cant stand NCCU, never have, probably never will; BUT i will say that I love the percussion pit idea...and the ballad they played at Honda was on point. You can tell that the arranger put heart and soul into every measure and as a person with a musical background I can appreciate that. So NCCU from an Aggie, great Job on that piece (GOD, THAT WAS PAINFUL!!! LOL)

It is good to hear someone give credit wihen credit is due... NCCU was better at some things then A&T ... Like dynamics, orginality, balance, tuning and MARCHING while A&T had a better entrance and exit, and louder. Both bands did good.

Woah there ECU07, You kinda took the ball and ran with my last post. I said that I Loved the percussion pit concept and enjoyed their ballad at honda. I would say that NCCU's new found "Flava-injected" "DCI With A Twist" Style is "Different" for HBCU bands but their shows are still leaving me with that missing element that puts it all together...but overall, they did a decent job of Representing The NC HBCU Band Community...

BANDHEADS may not like OUR vision of a marching band but for 5 years we have been getting the head nod due to POPULAR votes. Shoot, We are the ONLY band to go from 2 different conferences. I would have combined Auxiliary along time ago. It is WAY less to deal with. As far as GD. .He gave the credit where it was due . . so it looks like . . .PURE HATE.

I'm sorry but there was no originality from JSU they played that same SWAC boogie down stuff and A&T looked good but had no dance routine and didnt have a great sound either. This is my first time seeing NCCU and I was very impressed. A mixture of core style and high step marching. They're quality of sound was better than everyone except Famu.

I see that your knowledge of muscianship is very limited. your bout the first person to think or even dare to say that A&T sound was not very BALANCED, CRISP, LOUD, BLENDED WELL, & FULL. A&T sound was far better that NCCU. LOL JSU has tradition just like every GREAT band does. and that sound of theres was full and loud (its a difference) NCCU just was out of there league. every director and arranger on every site and that i personally have spoke with scored A&T/JSU 9.5 FAMU 8.5 TXSU 8.NCCU 7

YES YOU ARE RIGHT!!! A&T has a full, balance, clean, crisp sound. NCCU is getting better but still along way from A&T, not to even mention any other bands in the MEAC. A&T show was very nice organized and neat. NCCU got a lil sloppy, but did ok.

I'm sorry but A&T had one of the best sounds at Honda, if not the best. The show and sound was full balanced, clean and crisp, what more could a band give? NCCU show was not as clean and certaintly not crisp it was almost kind of sloppy. But overall NCCU did good, but A&T was much more better. AGGIE PRIDE!!!!
