  • sn0le buddy long time no chat.! hey im building another hackintosh do you know by any chance any parts that would be compatible with the next osx update.??? thanks bro.!!!!

  • retail applehda.kext full working gigabyte x58 ud5 if you have a nice dsdt.aml files no replac applehda.kext i have gigabyte x58 ud5 mobo and when ı done all snow leopard update sound never go

  • @kagangulenc:

It is true that updates are easier when you use a custom DSDT-file.

Because no kexts are needed if you do it right, therefore you'll not have the problem with sound like I did.

The disadvantage with DSDT is that if you do it wrong you might end up damaging/frying your hardware.

I haven't had the time to do all the research on DSDT to start using it my self, so I'm still going the "noob" way with kexts. ;)

  • Hello dude!

Remember I had problems installing on my mobo the hackintosh? That was a bad revision of it, so I made a bold move - bought MacBook pro (mid 2010 in july 2010).

    Kinda sick, huh? Cheers!

  • @EvidentIncredible:

    Nah, it doesn't suck. :)

You got a nice computer now. Big touchpad, magsafe charger connector, 5-6 hours of batterylife, OSX etc.

If I didn't have a Thinkpad (given to me by my employer) I'd buy my self a 13" MBP.

    Congrats! :)

  • Hey sn0le why dont you make a part 16 showing how to build our own airport card?

  • @Pro9070:

Well, building a WiFi-card requires a bit more skill than I have. :)

Besides, I use Cat5-cable for my Hackintosh. Gigabit is nice when you copy alot of (huge) files between computers at home.

  • Yo Sn0le, it's nice to see another video from you. Nice one! I was doing hackintosh before i got my mini. Will get core i5 in summer. Good video.

  • @jamaic1aboy2:

    Thanks man. :)

  • :)) hey again i don't know if you know this but i found it funny as hell and i had to share this video with you i think you might enjoy it :)) /watch?v=9BnLbv6QYcA

  • @kakaroto1986:

Hehe. Thats a good one. A bit old, but I still laugh everytime I watch it. :)

I especially like the comment the newspresenter does about how it will catch on in the business world. :P

  • I still never got my 2nd hard drive so I'm still not running OSx yet, but I can get 10.6.3 up whenever I want but I'm going to wait till 10.7 and enjoy some troubleshooting hell again.

Any chance 10.7 will have USB 3.0 support?

  • @LimiTvBreaK:

Well, your guess is as good as mine.

Some people think Apple will skip USB3.0 and wait for Lightpeak.

But I think there is a demand for Mac Pro users that need USB3.0

I guess someone has to make a PCI-express card that works in OSX.

Not sure if Apple has to do anything with OSX or if it is only a driver issue (kext).

  • Dang sn0le, you're back :D

Well, I can confirm I did end up getting OS X on a new Dell 15r, through a usb method as every disk burned was a fail to boot.

However...I messed up somehow. I updated (yes knowing it wouldn't work), but knew my usb could help, but last minute, it gave a deadmeat error. Can't even reformat it for OS X installation in Disk Utility (I have a vmware build just for this feature). So, I'm stuck in Win7 with a nonfunctional updated 10.5.8 Leopard :P

  • @KemeticReign:

    Dangh that sucks.

I mean, Windows 7 ain't bad. But if one wants OSX, it is kind of a downer. :)

  • @sn0le

Somehow out of stroke of luck, the usb magically came back to life...

    Dual boot is back!

  • sn0le old buddy.!!! hmm thats weird that happened to you it didnt do that to me i have been updating ever since taking the risks and im on the recent build right now. good to see another video from you.! =D looking forward to the new os coming in june lets see how that handles on our hackintoshes and hopefully where able to run it on ours cheers man have a great day.!!!

  • @drumsforjs:

Hey man. Long time no see. :)

I'm also excited to see what happens in June.

OSX Lion comes out, and I wonder if it will be possible for us Hackintoshers to install it or not.

A great day to you too. :)

  • Dude, thanks for the video!

  • @marckjoy2007:

    You're welcome. :)

  • yay!

  • @soccerbitch:

    Hehe.

  • Thanks to you and your videos i have had a fully working hackintosh for about a year now. I don't have the same hardware but it works flawlessly. Upon install the audio and video doesn't work correctly, who's does, but Ive been able to update and run just about everything except parallels . That was due to my Intel core 2 duo not supporting hardware virtualization but I recently bought an Intel core 2 quad which solved that problem. Thank you so much for all of your tutorials!!

  • @mgeezy89:

No problem. Happy to hear that you have sorted out all of the issues you were experiencing.

And I'm always glad to hear that someone has found inspiration in my videos. :)

  • thank you for all your nice reply's to all your other videos mr snole

  • @kakaroto1986:

    No problem kakaroto.

Just happy that people find my videos interesting. :)

And I enjoy technology alot, so when people have questions about something or wants to discuss something I try to answer as best as I can.
