  • maybe this will inspire kobe to come out as an asshole

  • John Amaechi mentions sodomizing, which is illegal but he is Gay. Dont he sodomize? hmmm

  • I just saw this interview on TV...WOW..Probably the most impressive answers to interview questions by an athlete I've ever heard period!!! This dude should be running for office. How about a 7 foot gay black president huh....arrghh too bad he's not a natural born American.

I always thought Dan was kinda a smart alecky dick on PTI,,, but his show ain't half bad.

  • @thetylife seconded

  • I, too, thoroughly enjoyed this interview. All the talk of Jerry Sandusky in the news today is what led me back to this episode of DLHQ. I remember watching the original airing of it and being impressed by the refreshing eloquence of Mr. Amaechi. I have a lot of respect for him.

  • If anyone still supports Joe Paterno they need to read the GRAND JURY REPORT!

1998 Sandusky accused of child rape

1999 Paterno forces Sandusky to retire

2000 Janitor sees Sandusky raping little boy in PSU Sauna

2002 McQueary sees Sandusky RAPING A 10 YEAR OLD BOY in PSU Shower! Tells Paterno. Police not called

    2005 District Attorney Goes missing

2007 A victim states he was brought to Paterno's CLOSED PRACTICE by Sandusky

    Paterno knew and did NOTHING

Joe Paterno is SELFISH and IMMORAL

  • From page 7 of the Grand Jury Report:

"Joseph V Paterno testified that the graduate assistant was very upset. Paterno called Tim Curely, PSU Athletic Director, to his home the very next day, and reported to him that the graduate assistant had seen Jerry Sandusky in the showers fondling or doing something of a SEXUAL NATURE to a young boy"

If that had been Paterno's naked grandson he would have called the POLICE.

Joe Paterno will forever be remembered for turning his back on child sex abuse.

  • Burn the Gym! Hang the coaches! Bomb Penn State with Iran! Do it now before it's too late!

  • This was a GREAT interview. I love this show anyways, I dunno who books the guests but they are doing a good job.

Also, props for the guests who confirm to go on the show!

  • Good guy to listen to. I really liked the second part of the interview that they put on today's episode, he tells it like it is.

  • Thank you so much for this. I happened to catch the second part of this interview on television today, and checked Youtube to see if if the first part had been posted. Absolutely incredible. Amaechi is such an inspiration; thoughtful, articulate, intelligent...and then so much more. I appreciate his perspective on Penn State so much, and I hope to see him on television more in the future to give his thoughts on any issue, sports or otherwise. Can someone help this guy get a talk show?

  • Fan of this man.

  • Wow...

  • John Amaechi - what an impressive fellow. Calm, cool, articulate but also passionate.

Thank you for what you said and how you said it John.

  • Very refreshing to see a guy actually think about what he wants to say before he says it.

  • i liked amaechi as a player and then even more after his book came out. he's definitely an interesting, intelligent, articulate man. definitely not your typical NBA player.

  • I'm amazed at this show. Most of the time it's about goofing off and having fun, but then there are moments like these on DLHQ, where it get serious on serious issues. Love it.

  • Very articulate expression of outrage here. He's not raging or shouting but his eloquent anger and his very accurate depiction of the facts as we know them is very, very effective.

  • @rrlg1 Agreed. Very sharp guy.

  • A stunningly accurate analysis he makes in saying that the 2nd Mile organization acted as a delivery mechanism of young and particularly vulnerable victims for Sandusky. Secondly, that Penn State, the 2nd Mile organization, and anyone that allowed these actions to take place, were willing to, in conjunction, allow young athletes to be "roped into creating the public face... we showed up at schools, played basketball and whatever else, as a front to what was happening in the background."
