  • HOW the fuck I start watching this ??

  • kill it with fire

  • Omgee it's a weird creature...this video is skin crawling but not nearly as skin crawling as when they emerge........OHHH!! :\

  • yeah....needs a way bigger tank. wider, at least. and aren't toads and frogs supposed to have landings to perch on?

  • 0:16-0:23 DEDZ

  • awmg! it's so cute! :D

  • If anyone is interested in these frogs, care for their pygmy cousins! The African dwarf frogs. ^^

  • Pls, i like almost all animals but.. pls burn this creepy animal

  • omg... trypophobic's worst nightmare!

  • Truly disgusting but really fascinating at the same time

  • I want to scrap it's back...... it's creepy when pipa frogs give birth.

  • giggidy

  • WOW ITS SO HUGE

  • where the hell did you get that awesome frog its so cute when the eggs hatch

  • disgusting?you ever thought how your mother looked like when she had you in her belly?

  • like the Devil

  • That is so cute! They used to sell those at the pet store I go to, but they got rid of them before I got a chance to buy one.

  • so cute?? that's the most disgusting thing i have ever seen

  • disgusting creature

  • had 4 of them in a tank, one of the coolest pets I ever had.

  • omfg, this made me gooesbump all over

  • Que aaaaaaascoooooooo

  • ugly frog

  • that is some HP Lovecraft shit, right there

  • im going to have night mares lol

  • do the eggs kill the mother?

  • no they dont

  • Awesome. I saw one of these today at a reptile show in Columbus. I had never heard of or seen one before so it was cool. I'm going to research more about them and probably purchase one in the near future.

  • That tank is way to tiny.. :(

  • What size tank would you suggest?

  • 6 foot would be nice.

  • That to large,

  • @TheRoachKeeper I'm not sure if there is a rule for toads, but for fish, its every inch of fish is a gallon of water

  • awsome pipa, i just got one today, i think its a female but i dont know do you have any vids of your males? do you know how to tell them apart?

  • where you get em?

  • it does not look like a frog

  • Amazing but really ugly^^

  • poor pipa pipa wants to be free, or at least move to a bigger tank :(

  • A 46 is probably plenty of room for a trio. Especially if you're starting out with young CB's. I don't know anyone right now that has any young for sale, though. Check out the kingsnake classifieds. I often see Pipa pipa (probably WC) available there.

  • how big is the tank? Also, is that sound the males calling?

  • The tank is 55 gallons. Yes, the clicking that you hear is from at least one of the males. Considering they were under water the calls are surprisingly loud.

  • Do you think a 46 gallon bowfront tank would be appropriate for several(I'd like to see this drama myself!). Also do you know of anyone with CB ATM?

  • i like how it paddles around :D

  • yahhh :D

  • wow good

  • I am glad that I havent seen this one before here ;-) Or at least not like this.

    Thanks for showing.

  • i used to have 4 of these things and ended up giving them to a local pet shop when i got tired of buying nightcrawlers and goldfish

  • Just breed guppies. All you need is a ten gallon tank and they breed easily and have lots of babies.

  • akwarium byś wysprzątał;-)

  • They frightened me at first though...

A surinam toad is an eyeless toad that carries it's eggs and young ones on it's back until they are old enough, by which tim the mom ditches them to die in peace.

  • It's a totally cool creature, though it does look like it's been run over by a truck

  • I have to admit a bit of revulsion at seeing the way surinam toads incubate their young, but am equally fascinated by the process. Thanks for the interesting video!

  • fascinating creatures they are.

  • My first time seeing a Surinam toad! Awesome! Thank you for this video!

  • Thisis better than National Geographic-thanks for taking the time to film these fascinating creatures!

  • ugly frog

  • Bleck!

  • Kinda gross looking but amazing all the same! It's incredible that nature has produced such "special" animals.

  • that thing is nice
