I think a lot of people are missing the type of horror this kind of game provides. #1, it's not nearly as scary watching someone play it, and #2, this is horror that is actually scary.

It's not like Dead Space where they chuck monsters at you all over the place, it knows that you will scare yourself far more than they can. They approach fear as an emotion that is in anticipation of an event, rather than a reaction of one, and it really gets under your skin.

Trust me. Amnesia is fucking scary.

You have a gun to defend yourself. In Amnesia you're defenseless and it messes with you psychologically the whole way through. Dead space is a cake walk compared to amnesia.

Watching an LP of the game is obviously NOT scary (at all).

However, when you play it yourself this game is absolutely terrifying (that is if you dont cheat, like playing with friends or lights on.)

Absolutely loved the game, it scares the shit out of you when you play it, but when you stop playing it, you totally miss the atmosphere and want to continue on.

Also playing for 2Hrs straight is pretty Hardcore, keep it up Day(9)!

AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO REACTED TO THE PIANO MUSIC GOING INTO THE OLD TOMES ROOM (Day9 enters at 9:15) WHEN PLAYING THIS GAME?

I've seen countless of people playing and NOT notice that the piano music comes from a freakin' direction and that it isn't background music. When you go out into the hallway you'll see a piano whose lid even slams shut.

IMHO one of the most creepy moments in the whole game and it seems like over 50% of all Amnesia players don't even notice it.
