  • how would you center the word "Company" with the rest of the logo?

  • @royalconcrete1 There are a number of ways: You could use the alignment tools, make guides on the right and left of the edge of the logo which will allow you to make a center point and then align it with that or you could do it by eye.....Hope this helps. I have another video on the alignment tools which may help.

Good luck.....let me know how everything goes!! :)

  • you can always make 2 part video if youtube dosen't alow above 15min

  • @46copy Yes.....that is very true. I eventually will be recording full layouts and may need to break into 2 or 3 parts. Thank you for tuning in. Subscribe to us!! :)

  • hi nice videos, I am confused between the uses of fireworks and illustrator, can you give advise regarding that please or maybe an advice and a video?

  • @carlojpf2

To be very honest with you I do not currently use Fireworks. From what I know it's a simple program I used back in College and it is geared more towards creating from web. My best advice would be to search for videos and article on the subject. Otherwise, thank you very much for viewing. Don't forget to subscribe.

  • Do i have to use INDESIGN for print design or is illustator good enough

  • @fallenwish2010 Illustrator is far more than good enough, most professionals & agencies rely on Illustrator & Indesign for layouts going to print.

InDesign has many of the same features as Illustrator...In fact, the layout of the menu bars and tools are almost identical. Indesign is more for multiple page layout....brochures, pamphlets, menus...that sort of stuff, although you can make one page designs also with it.

We have some great beginner tutorials on Illustrator. Good Luck!!

  • That's a no..

Instead of White letters -> use pathfinder

instead of creating shadow with gray and white -> black + transparent (gradient)

Putting a gradient on an object takes 10 seconds or less..

You made gradients look hard.. >_>

  • @MrDirective

Using the pathfinder in this case is just another option. It is not necessary. There is no reason why the outlined text which serves as its own shapes, can’t be placed on top of the gradients. To be quite honest, I wasn’t finalizing it for print and was running out of time. It’s just another way out of the many ways of getting the same result in Illustrator, same thing with the shadow.

In regards to the Gradients, ask a beginner if it takes ten seconds.

  • @GraphicDesignerTips You make the videos.. So you could shwo the beginners that it takes 10 seconds >_<

  • @MrDirective

    hehe.....Impossible. Thanks for tuning in.

  • Thanks a lot ! I needed to see a tutorial like this.

P.S Youtube takes off your 15 minute limit when you pass a certain amount of views/videos.

  • @Pedjamadafaka

I'm glad to hear this helps....that is my goal with these videos. Thank you for the tip, It's funny because I went from 20 minutes, then speeded through and got to 6 minutes. Stay tuned for many more creative logo videos.
