This is singing from the heart, I would say. This is a gifted, trained singer. Notice how he starts this piece almost in falsetto, then the intensity, yet controlled, singing as he goes to a higher key. Yes, videos like this is the good stuff on You Tube. Thanks for all these postings.
There isn't a more soft sweet, singing voice, some of the times, and in others' an enormous, powerful one, that has this unique privilege to profoundly touch your inmost as if God Himself was embracing your heart and soul, than Lanza's does.

He was 38 when he died the 7th of october 1959. Some kind of heartattack ended his life. And the very same morning of the day he died, he was heard singing from his room...
i don't mean to be rude but i think, well i know that you have been miss informed. he went to a clinic shortly before his death, called the twilight sleep clinic and under went a process where by he was put into a kind of sleep state to lose weight. He never woke from it. People like to make up other stories to sensationalise.
