  • I love your videos :) I'd like to make this dish for my family when I go home for Christmas but I haven't got a pressure cooker. Are there any other options to make this dish or should I buy a pressure cooker? Thank you for your answer :)

  • @aklaygna Thank you. Pressure cooker is definitely handy for making Indian curries (Red beans, chickpeas, lentils etc) However for this recipe you can use boiled chickepeas from a can and then cook them on a pot. if they are unboiled, they will take long..check out my chana masala vid for a hint. Thanks for taking time to comment. Hope you'll have awesome xmas with family and frends!

  • Hi, I love your channel and recipes. I was wondering how long you cooked everything in the pressure cooker? 10mins? 15mins?

  • @ttrinhity thank you so much..Depends on the dish but pressure cooker cooks pretty fast..for these chole, i normally give 3 long whistles but they are soaked overnight most of the time..if i am using unsoaked ones (days of chaos), then i give 5-6 whistles..15 mins is too long for chickpeas (7-8 mins) 10-15 mind for hearty meat with bone in..

  • @ttrinhity Lentils are quick too..max 10 mins..

  • pls tell me where r u from??????

  • "spicy" yes, I noticed the amount of chilli added ...made me chuckle when at the end the suggestion of black pepper ... great !

    Q: what is ?patoora/patura!?

    - again I'd be using the coconut - and maybe my favourite coconut cream too, yum .

right , off to make this, now- have some chick peas done - was going to make humus in the morning but hey.. .. have to cook it a little less for ma needs but excellent + this has me me hungry thanks

  • @VonLeachim :) i always say red chillies/ green chillies as per taste. I just like that extra kick..Bhatura is deep fried indian flat bread (a bit unhealthy but soooooo good..)
