I also know a glitch. If you have an unhatched egg in your Chao Garden, walk away from it while it's still centered on the screen. As you walk away, the screen will begin to pull the egg with you.

OR doing very, very good at that level.

Oooh, yeah. That place is hard.

What you do is intentionally die if you can't find the emeralds. You'll keep the Emeralds you've collected and you'll go back to the starting point with extra time and the remaining Emeralds will move to different places.

This saves a ton of time. Of course, you'd have to have lots of lives to do this.

You pet a chao with a hero character until the chao turns white. Then leave the game alone(while in garden) for about 5 hours. After that wait, check the chao lobby. There should be stairs leading up to a hero garden.
