Whats up with the life guard part? They arn't on the beach....it should say The Swedish Mounted Band of the Royal Guard.....there should be no life in there....even if the swedish name for it is "livgarde"
@k1lkenny Niether have sweden ever had a king that has been named Olaf....about 1000 years ago we had a king called Olof though....and he does not have a standing guardin this day.
The second march is in my eyes called "Livgardets Hornmarsch" (roughly translated "Horn March of the Royal Life Guards"), it's a paraphrase from Carl Michael Bellman's (famous Swedish composer during the 18th century) "Undan Ur Vägen" from fife to horn.
I don't know if Livgardets Dragonmusikkår have the same naming as the corps I'm playing in.
@bootsandsaddles would that be the drummers horses? Most other seems to be the swedish half breed which is the standard horse of the swedish armed forces.
Remarkable performance by Livgardets Dragonmusikaar. As a former musician in the Household Division in the UK and with a vehement passion for military bands I really appreciate such performances.
Stunning! Marvelous! Thank you so much for sharing! I had never before seen or heard of them, they're absolutely great!

Do the horses with the drums get ear plugs? Ha ha just kidding. ;)

Det är tyvärr allt för sällan att ma ser ett levande kavalleriband. Jag uppskattar svenskarna för att de håller traditionen levande!

Är inte den första låten finsk om jag inte missminner mig, oerhört vacker ändå dock ^^

Thank you for telling me the horses are Swedish half-breds, they are so elegant and well trained. Beautiful.
Yes, the drummers' horses are English Shires. I love them :)

@nexxan85 If their name is Life Guard, why should they not be called that?

It certainly isnt part of the British cavalry. They are part of the Swedish Army, King Olaf's Life Guard.

@antonbulldog
And His Majesty the king of Sweden is certainly not called "Olaf". His name is "Carl Gustaf"

Jag tycker att det är väldigt fint att svenska militärmusikanter bär gamla, färgranna uniformer.
