When Martha's daughter does her little "jokes" at 7:31, it was actually so cringingly unfunny and fake that I had to smash my own thumb with a hammer for some comic relief.
LOL wow.... take a little look-see at the introduction of the contestants... notice anything? Here's a hint... there isn't a single black person. Not even one. If I had made this show it would have been whitey Martha and all the contestants would have been black men and women. Now THAT I would want to see.
@DarkPanthera Yes, well said. I would have felt really embarrassed if i had been watching this with another person. Sometimes you can recognize a train wreck even before the train has pulled out of the station, and so far this show looks disasterous. The intro to this show was just terrible... soft spoken Martha reciting her life story for 5 minutes among shots of kitchens, manors, countryside, and horses... and this is how we are introduced to a show about a cutthroat business competition?
I don't know much about Martha Stewart....actually, I don't know anything at all lol but based on this video she seems very down-to-earth. I like her so far.
Yes, that is Bethenny Frankel on there. Only problem I had with Bethenny was there was a potential conflict of interest: she happened to have been acquainted with judge Charles' daughters. I liked her better after the show especially reading of her background. Other flaw was nepotism: other judge was Stewart's daughter Alexis. On DT's version there is now nepotism since his children are the judges.
@thefairlysimple1 wow mantray, i didnt expect to hear from you so quickly, i have heard of martha stewart, but it had something to do with taxes, i think, i dont know wether i like her or not, she seems pretty false in the opening bits, i just wonder if the staff smile like that all day, lol
It's so obvious Martha was not built for this show. She seems so awkward in front of the camera. And she's obviously only being nice ot her staff for the show.
@damdarch Part of it might've been because she was wearing that monitoring device on her ankle at the time...but I agree. The whole show felt weird. No wonder they tried to claim it was for one season only (which I personally think was total BS)
From the first few minutes of the show, I can see why this show DIDN'T MAKE IT. This is like a BAD sequel!!
