the bassist is so awesomeness :) so is the rest of the band they performed yesterday in Holland and damn they were gold and the guitarist was in a wheelchair still playing!Thas what I call passionate!
I grew up around these guys and got to open up for them. Became friends and even attended Dan the guitarists wedding. To me it was like living next door to Black Sabbath or something like that. One of the greatest progressive Metal bands EVER!!!!
check this out petedol i lived in lakeside calif in89 -90 we used to listen to psychotic waltz practice at the bands drummers grandparents house that was leggios italian market and deli best fucking pizza ever on 2nd street in el cajon we would sit on a picnic table about 20 ft outside the room that they practiced in definately the best fucking seat in the house !!!

Monumental song, drawing on the amazing Eternal Idol! And also a proof that Iommi and Black Sabbath kept on having a huge impact on musicians even in their less successful period.
Dan and Brian are so gelastic with each other, shame this band didn't go further. A Social Grace and Everflow are def in my top 10 albums of ALL TIME. Sorry Kanye :)
they sound like those guys that do that thing, you know that thing with that thing they use to it with, yeah well thats how good these guys are yeah totally awesome just like that other band yeah totally.....................probably
i have the red promo-vinyl of socal grace,10 known exempl., but with the autographs on the white label it is a unique album, and it is mine, hehe... saw them 5 times, 1993 in freiburg crash club germany, 100 ppl. max., and it was the best gig besides radiohead montreux & naked city zürich i ever saw!
kinda crazy how there's all these psychotic waltz fans on youtube. My guitar teacher was friends with these guys and introduced them to me when a really long time ago. cool to see them get some recognition
4:54 and forward : Tortured tongues feast their frenzy They hiss out all that is nothing The night time of the hearing flower Has put aside the laugh dancing flame No longer warming the wings Of their fluttering dust angel mistress The petals have closed for this long night Their brittle limbs are thinning Their meek and weeping gesture fares their well To the falling paper blossoms One by one, down into the everflow One by one, drown in the everflow
One of the most original progressive bands. With great lyrics amazing musical shapes and an alien voice from the so now called Devon Michaels. Great band, oh and be sure to check Dan Rock's solo albums with Darkstar, they are good too.
i saw them at soma in san diego when i was like 9 or 10 and once before that at this place in san diego called hells kitchen its something else now but i forgot where it was i think maybe el cajon but yeah i will never forget those days
I HAVE BOTH BOXSETS!!!! its amazing ive loved this band for like 5 years, since i was 14!! took me forever to get a hold of their cds. This is also my faovirte pwaltz song.
btw are their any bands/specific songs you guys know about that have this same atmospheric vibe? or the same vibe of SLEEPING DOGS? cause ive been wanting to find some bands like that. almost like the newest alan parsons project stuff

i climb up to the mountain
just to share my point of view
of life, the universe and everything
i'll take you to the fountain
just to have a drink with you
a slow and everlasting dream
and if we are here just to ease god's sorrow
lord come to me and i'll ease your mind
come to me cause i know it's my only way out of this place

too bad bands like this are not easy to find nowadays........

One of the most unique bands ever. I have seen them many times in the 90's
Their singer who's now called Devon Graves formed a band now Dead Soul Tribe.
I have met him a few times and last year he sang "I remember" for our unborn child after I told him that my girlfriend was
pregnant.

I've met this vibe only in Dead Soul Tribe, Buddy Lackey's current band... But it's not exactly the same feeling...
Btw, did you discover the secret track in "Mosquito" album? It's like "Sleeping Dogs", and I think it's called "Darkness".
