Well I originally bought the Zune 30 (White) but when the Zune 80's came out, I instantly bought one of them, a black one (the red's look really nice). So now, my dad uses the Zune 30 and I have the 80.

Btw - with the Zune Pass, you can share it with three people, so u can split the cost with ur friends, just have one pay for it with his credit card, and then the other two give him $5 a month. It's a great deal then.

WiFi - good reception, easy to connect, you can sync with your PC wirelessly when at home, streaming music with Pass is great, buying music with pass is great, typing is pretty easy - you scroll through the letters, it all works well.

The only thing about WiFi is that it wont work with networks that have any type of Websense or any other web sensorer stuff. McDonalds offers free Zune WiFi, your home network will work fine, etc. You can type in passwords for WiFi easily. School = maybe wont.

Yeah i read about most of that stuff and im downloading the software soon. I have a question though.

How do you pay the monthly fees for the pass? Do you use a credit card or can you buy those monthly subscription cards seen at best buy and walmart, etc?

You pay for the Pass with Credit Card for sure.

I think you might be able to pick up the cards at Best Buy. Yea there's a Redeem Points option on My Account page with the Zune where you can enter in a code for redeeming a Zune Pass subscription. So you should be able to pick up those cards at Best Buy.

Or just use your parent's credit card and get them into downloading music so that they use it too and they don't charge you, :)

Well you can download the free Zune Desktop Software and play around with that. It's really slick looking software, pretty fun to use.

Also, you should definitely get the Zune Pass. It's $15 for unlimited music. Almost all of the songs in their marketplace are available for download. It's a great experience when you see the price buttons switch to "Download" when you sign in.

Plus, you can get unlimited music on your Zune with WiFi if you have the Pass. (Continued in another Comment)

If you have friends with the Zune, you can subscribe to and listen to all of their most played songs with the Pass.

Finally, on the Software, you can subscribe to Channels, which range from personallized automated Rock Picks for you to Jogging Channels that have music cordinated to the running beat.

You can get all of that with your Zune Pass, so look into it. Also you get to keep, forever, 10 songs a month.

Look into the Zune Pass and check out the Software.

Sweet! u download the zune software yet? it's free, so you might as well get it set up first and have a little fun with it until u get ur Zune.

BTW, find someone else with a zune and play them wirelessly in Texas Hold'em!!!!

wow what a feature i never knew about that. nah i havent downloaded it yet because it will just make me want it even more, i want to have it when i first install the software. the zune isnt an mp3 player, more like an experience. cant wait man

Bluetooth. Will Zune ever have it? Seeing as it already has wi-fi, it's probably not a high priority but it would be really nice for those car head units with bluetooth connectivity and cell phones.

I've read about some mods you can do for using bluetooth with Zune's but a lot of them look sketchy/ugly/cumbersome. I just can't make up my mind on which PMP i want to get. Zune's are pretty sexy.

Well if your thinking of either iPod or Zune, go with Zune. iPod Classic is completely dominated by Zune, and iPod touch is possibly as good as Zune, even though it's in a whole different price range.

useless but yet its still so cool, and yea the pictures are useful already, but still i think they should make the touch pad a full touch pad without the click! it should just be able to tap it without actually clicking it down

lol you can. when i scroll i just lightly drag my finger across barely touching it. it is even speed sensitive. if you want to go back a menu then you just move over it twice. I don't know what you are talking about.

zune needs an accelerometer just like the new iPods it would be perfect for album flow and the touch pad!!! it would be awesome and the pictures could go sideways too for better viewing on the smaller ones!

u dont need an accelerometer for that. The Zune already puts pictures sideways, and cover flow is useless. The accelerometer would only be good for gaming.

Why the gloss finish? I like cases that don't show smudges, so far my only gripe as a potential buyer.

Yea dude i thought the same thing. The gloss looks pretty ugly on camera. Maybe better in person, but still, smudges.

it is the actual "zune 3". and the firmware 3. the new zunes don't really have anything different, just more storage. The firmware is what makes the difference.
